hence the probably fine, maybe I should have put 'or stubborn' :rotfl:
next is "ooh feet!"
Chris went from sitting to all fours, he'd fall forwards on to his hands from sitting but I think the more common way is to go from lying on tum to press up pose to knees up n under
Oooohhh, of course! I didn't think of the falling forward way! He's falling forward, sprawling out and rolling in one movement now.. nifty, but not what we're after0 -
I wonder if it's a man thing to need set aside time to wind down? Now OH is working late shifts, he gets in about 10.30 and we normally aim to be in bed around ten so I reckoned he should just go straight to bed (which is what I would do) but he says he needs at least half an hour to wind down. I pointed out he'll have had half an hour driving home but he siad that that doesn't count presumably because he is still actually doing something so can't switch off.
I do that too - when I used to do waitressing I had to sit up for a good hour or so to let the adrenaline leave my system before I could sleep after all that rushing around! Even now if I am late getting Izzy to bed then I have to sit up for a bit... hence me still being on here!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

but ugh staying in a hotel with a toddler was hard work. In retrospect I would do something different with that much money, but I think OH was happy so I guess it counts!
Bruno - I worked this out a LONG time ago...we stayed in a lovely hotel when ds1 was only a couple of months old, it was easy peasy....jump forward 6 mths when we had a walking, shouting, tantrum throwing 1yr old and it was hell:rolleyes: the next time we went he was a bit older, well 2yrs old and even though it was a toddler friendly hotel it was still very, very stressful.
Since then we have been to Disney Paris, or camping:cool: that way we have been able to put the kids out to graze in the morning and put them away at night:rotfl:
I don't think I would try and go to any 'posh' hotels again until the kids are much older and tbh my kids are well behaved but are inquisitve and can be noisy at times, which does annoy people and I just can't be bothered with constantly telling them to sit still or not touch or keep their voices down, it makes for a not-very-fun holiday for anybody:rolleyes:
Anyway....I am glad it all went ok for you and yes it is a very pretty place:) I'm glad your OH enjoyed herself too:)

My research proposal is drafted. That's the hard work done - now to edit it, turn the whole application pack into a PDF and send it in. Scary!
Goodnight all. I'm shattered - off to bed.ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Oh, forgot to say - Izzy has been climbing todayShe has a little chair and she has been climbing on and off it and then standing up when she gets on top.
Hot choc is a bit sweet for me and I drank coffees, but OH did indeedshe was overwhelmed with joy at the fancy one we had, which was hot frothed milk, and then a separate saucer of dark molten chocolate which you poured in "to taste" (i.e. all of it) and then stirred in. She described it as 'the most decadent thing she has ever drunk'. My coffee was only average
We have a vast amount of chocolate here now, having taken the Thornton's hamper offer, then unable to resist all sorts of Belgian purchases... must find good homes for it all!0 -

Ditto!
OH's down time is his shower as soon as he gets in. He works around chemicals all day so won't go near Rhys until he's had a shower. As soon as he's dressed, Rhys is handed to him and I make a cuppa (and usually express before my boobs burst if Rhys has been attention-hungry all afternoon and we've been busy)0 -

Mmmmmmm - for proper hot chocolate.
We went to a little cafe opposite the Church of Our Ladys in Bruge. I was amazed that the hot choc was served with a little tray of chocs and Virgin Mary shaped marshmallows. Who'd have thought you could get such a thing!:beer:0 -
