Jasmine didnt do any of that, she would lay on her tummy and lift herself up but never onto her knees, or she would lay on hr back and use her feet to push herself round the floor. Never crawled, just spontaneously stood up one day !!!The two best things I have done with my life

I don't remember any suppository pain killers after mine - but it was a long time ago! I had a morphine watch for a few days - it was great!
I also remember them coming to remove the catheter (sp?) the day after the birth - i hadn't even realised I had one in! :eek:You know, that was the single best thing in the world, Amber was held aloft for me to see and she belted out a scream! I cried and instantly fell in love with her at that point. DS1 was resuscitated at birth too so he never cried till a few days old. I'm crying now thinking about itI really, really hope you get to experience that, it made all the worry worthwhile.
You will mull it over and you will constantly worry and freak at every little twinge, but when it's all over, I just know that having Amber has kind of made up for everything else, wiped the slate clean almost. A 'cleansing experience'
Perfectly put Tia!
After my horrible first birth experience with DS1 - I was terrified for the whole of my 2nd pregnancy and birth. It was the most wonderful thing when they passed me this little bloody screaming thing as soon as she was out (although it had hurt like hell!).
Mind you - it still didn't stop me worrying all the way through my 3rd pregnancy & birth.
Welcome back Bruno. We missed you. Did you have authentic Belgian hot chocolate served with a little saucer of sweets?
Still catching up - back soon.:beer:0 -
Evening all. Bit of a late one tonight - only just finished my tea. But I'm pleased to announce that the coconut liquer I bought is very nice, and will do the trick at christmas just right. Will need to get some pinapple juice to go with it.
Re suppositaries, I had one after my stitches too... I'd forgotten about that till today - funny how things pop back into your brain! I had to have a spinal block for stitches (they were doing cross stich!) and because they weren't sure if all the placenta had come out. I think I would have been more surprised by it if I'd not just had a spinal block, but seeing as I couldn't feel anything it didn't really bother me. :rotfl:
Other than that, welcome back Bruno, and hugs to SS!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Doesn't work with Rhys! His hearing is spot-on and he flat out refuses to look at you if he's looking at something more interesting
Speaking of which, the big thing at the minute is staring at his hand... "hand.. wow!" What's next to look out for?
Oh, and how do they learn getting up on all fours? Rhys pulls his knees up, always has done since before he came home, I just don't get how they progress from there! (I know it's a while away, I was just wondering the other day).
next is "ooh feet!"
Chris went from sitting to all fours, he'd fall forwards on to his hands from sitting but I think the more common way is to go from lying on tum to press up pose to knees up n underI don't understand, I think?0 -

My research proposal is drafted. That's the hard work done - now to edit it, turn the whole application pack into a PDF and send it in. Scary!
