It says "may" Tigs! May! He also may not! That book is not the boss of him :) give him a chance, I bet at the age of 16 it will be impossible to judge from his verbal ability whether he was late for this particular "milestone" or not :p

Oh I remember what I was going to say... My Hubby is one of those that needs a bit of 'me time' when he gets in... By which time I'm desperate to hand responsibilty over to him... I keep telling him his me time is the 90min bus journey home but he won't have it... I envy him that 90mins alone sitting with nothing to do sometimes...
He doesn't understand when I point out I don't get a minute until after 10pm when Ed finally goes in his crib
I also wouldn't mind so much if he hadn't insisted on taking Chris with him to get the take away and the fact that Chris wanted a story before bed (ie would be asleep very soon)

Pizza! :rotfl: Erin had her play so we had to rush, I told her she was good and in true Erin fashion she said 'I know'. So embarrassing!

no self confidence issues with her then :p go Erin!!

  • Tigs, the best advice I can offer you... Is stop reading stuff :p

Oh Sami, I told my tutor about the tiny shoddy news feature earlier... She's going to have a ring around, see if she can get her face in somewhere with some proper research backed stuff :D
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sorry, I thought it was compulsory to have at least one "paranoid parent" conversation in here every week :rotfl: I'm not bothered really, I'll just feel much happier when Andrew's had his hearing test next week.

I will have to ask my sister more about this when i next see her, really interested now! She's had three, the first one was the emergency one then the next two were planned. I have this fear of being cut open, but she insists it was fine. Then again she looked a bit sick/ill when i told her about my damage downstairs!

I didn't feel a thing with Amber. The only bit I didn't like was after she was out and they were trying to remove the placenta plus checking it while they were in there. I felt it up in my ribs, felt like they were pulling my lungs out! But I just concentrated on Dh holding Amber and the banter between him and the nurses/staff.

I just know I'm going to freak if baby doesn't belt out a huge cry within seconds.. But then Rhys came through 24 very long minutes of nothingness so who knows.. And yes, I know, I know, statistically and all that, but it doesn't stop me mulling it over.. :p

You know, that was the single best thing in the world, Amber was held aloft for me to see and she belted out a scream! I cried and instantly fell in love with her at that point. DS1 was resuscitated at birth too so he never cried till a few days old. I'm crying now thinking about it :D I really, really hope you get to experience that, it made all the worry worthwhile.

You will mull it over and you will constantly worry and freak at every little twinge, but when it's all over, I just know that having Amber has kind of made up for everything else, wiped the slate clean almost. A 'cleansing experience' :D
  • tigs, I was worried about Dylan not talking so I kept a very close eye on him and brought it up with the pediatrician and was told that if he was grunting it was fine and only to worry if he wasnt cooing etc... at 6 months, and that once he started talking and screaming I would regret wanting him to start !!

    Lol MM :D

Most big banks/card companies also do things like corporate credit card programmes, right down to 'small business cards' for sole traders and the like, usually not as "good a deal" as a private one but then you don't get held personally liable in the same way... if your work has multiple employees having to do this with their expenses, it might be worth suggesting that to them, it does work.

On "me" time. I ache for it sometimes, but I am fully 100% aware that OH does too! We therefore do our best to make sure we both get it. I think at that level it's bloody obvious. The amounts and details can sometimes be contentious mind you :)
