    good luck!

eep now follows a whole 'nother round of toddler proofing ;)

Shall I PM my address? :D

The real trouble will be when she works out how to move the chair to where she wants to reach something, then climb on it. That is the point where I might have to tie her to something if I have to leave the room!

Anyway, must go to bed before I have to get up again. night all!

We have accepted that while it may be possible to provide generic "toddler proofing" to our flat, it will never achieve "Elijah-proof" status :( and instead we watch him/chase him/teach him/lure him as much as possible, and accept all failures along the way!

And Sami re January, don't go into it thinking of it as a holiday, think of it as "a test of your strength, level-headedness and gritty determination to be endured" and you will be ok! :p

Alice does that. And she can climb quite high. Also, if we're in someone else's kitchen and they're doing food preparation she starts pulling the nearest stool/chair she can get herhands on over to help them.

Oh, and how do they learn getting up on all fours? Rhys pulls his knees up, always has done since before he came home, I just don't get how they progress from there! (I know it's a while away, I was just wondering the other day).
seth only just started doing this awake about 2-3 weeks ago, but has been doing it in his sleep for months!

i feel a bit rubbish today, seth didnt wake up til 8.10am and i had to leave to take him to the cm's at 8.35 so i only had time to change his stinky butt and get him dressed before bundling him into his buggy and going, didnt even get to give him his breakfast :( then when i got to the cm's he got all happy and kicky and shouty like he does when he's excited, and then when i went to pick him up he was fast asleep on the cm's lap, having a cuddle :( i waited 25 mins til we decided enough was enough and we woke him up, and he looked up at her grinning, then he cried when she passed him to me! she said "i really should have put him in his coat and rocked him off in the buggy, but i was selfish and wanted a cuddle!" he refuses flatly to go to sleep on either me or his dad, when we try he wriggles and squinnies, whats so special about her?! then he was so shattered when we got in that i had to put him straight to bed. i've spent less than an hour with him today. lush.

 I really can't stand my hubsand at times!! just huffing a puffing around like a moody teen ager because Christopher dared to ask him to read him an (incredibly short!) book. Apparently he just wants a minute to himself after a day at work

Hubby gets a bit like this...so we have agreed that where possible he will take Benjamin as soon as he gets in and have some time to himself when Benjamin goes to bed an hour or so later. But, if he really needs to chill when he comes home then he only has to say and I keep hold of the reigns until said 'minute to himself' is over.

Seems to be working so far (cue big argument about it in the next week!!!)

Have been snoozing on the sofa for most of the evening and am heading off to bed in a minute.

Milestones - Benjamin reached some really early, mostly the dangerous moving ones , but others he seems to be behind on - anything requiring an element of concentration or sitting still for more than 5 seconds. He has only within the last week or so started to sit and play with any of his toys. All babies are incredibly different, as ably demonstrated by our little angels on a regular basis!!
