Bruno - hope you have a great time away. Think you and OH deserve a wee break.

Ladies, enjoy your meet today at TC.

Not really been keeping up as been out past couple of days, but quiet day today so might chat later.

morning. I love to read and try to read every night (depending on how shattered I am!) I like most things, except sci-fi/fantasy. My most hated read was th Lord of the rings. I read it when I was about 15-16 and I persevered through all three books and at the end announced that thye were a bit rubbish :rotfl: Just not my cup of tea. I love a good political biography (okay don't run away on me) but enjoy chick-lit and spy thrillers too :D

HV due in about half an hour. LO meant to be asleep, but she's woken up so I've left her in her cot for a few more minutes as shes not crying.

    better get on ....

Don't get too excited Glam.. I phoned them to say I'd gone from £20k to £5k and they reduced our CTC from £80pm to £72pm! :( You don't get any more unless your household goes below £32k and we don't, we're still on £33k-ish

i rang them as i thought i might as well have the extra money now instead of next year and even though our income went to £29000 for some reason we are getting £20 less a month??? does not make sense. neednt have bothered..... not ringing again till we get the renewal forms next year

Did you know there are 3 more in the series, Krystal? Night, Day, Twilight and Final Watch. Good reads!
Yeah I've got the set... Read them twice... ;)

I'm on an argos hunt today... We bought a couple of bottles of the princess perfume on 13th November and the money has gone out of the bank... But they've not turned up yet and upon reflection last night, I couldn't recall seeing an email confirming the order... Looks like I might have to have a ring around...

Oh and after a week in pampers trying to use up the last of the size 3s, Caitlyn's just welcomed a terry back on in the loudest way possible  At least I know the worst will be in the wrap and not up her back like the pampers explosion...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Hello

Yet again I've left ages between posting, I do try and read most days though.

I saw a few questions that have probably been answered, but in case not - my daughter had the BCG day after birth (think one of the pregnant ladies was asking about this) we live in a high risk area apparently (near Heathrow). Injection itself was fine but at about 4 months the jab spot got very inflamed and looked grim. It's still a bit red at 8.5 months, but this is apparently all normal.

Think there were a few links to babes with babies - my changing bag and some other stuff was a gift from there - the quality of their products is excellent, but having seen the price don't know if I could be justified spending that myself!

Reading - another bookaholic here - my best ever job was working in waterstones when I graduated but didn't exactly pay well and I spent what I earned on discounted books. When I was breastfeeding I did the night feeds reading Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain. Am currently on a non fiction bent and reading Elizabeth David's Italian Food. OH is a sci fi nut though, something we don't share!

Am currently having 'to return to work or not' dilemma, I feel I've outgrown my old job and everything there has changed since I left - plus I don't fancy spending 2 hours a day travelling when I could be with my baby. Oh for a 3 day a week job on my doorstep...

on tax credits, they put ours up when i told them what our income this year is  i dont understand those people at all! i rang up to update my claim with the childcare tax credits and the bit we were getting before went from £80 to £110 every 4 weeks, and the childcare element takes it all up to £390 a month, i was very pleased with that but i dont trust them not to make me pay some back next year cos it does seem rather a lot
our total household income is only about £24-£26k though

Have fun at the TC today ladies!!

We didn't go to swimming class this morning - we both still have runny noses and I am nervous about us getting any worse / catching anything else :o
It also meant we could have extra time in bed so we didn't get up until 9am :D

Have got some running around to do today to get ready for when I go away for the night on Thursday.

Does anybody ever wonder when they will get a chance to relax? I feel like I am on a treadmill of neverending chores and things to organise/do. Even if I relax for an evening I know in the back of my mind that I still have tons of stuff to do later that I should be doing now :(
