csh when i lived in london i knew all the best bargain spot and still now i know how to hunt out a bargain just after jayden i needed new jeans i just popped in to new look and found a pair of flared jeans redued from £25 to £7 so i grabbed them ... i always go out with vouchers and coupons honestly everyone in a queue hates me but if i can knock off 50p i dont care how long it takes to find the right coupon ..

i know im not gonna get the perfect paying job tomorrow and to be honest this is the first time in my 24 year old life im not on any sort of benefits (apart from CHB but everyone gets that) and im proud of that just needto look for a better job so i can save to go back to college to be a TA x

Whenever I've got glasses, they've always said that the special offers like two for one don't apply with the NHS voucher but they usually have some offer where you pay less than you should so for my recent ones I paid £20 for £85 glasses whereas it should have been £48.80 because the voucher is £36.20.
maybe its just our branch that lets people have the voucher amount off the 241
i have just realised how little i actually know about my job, its a miracle my customers can see :rotfl:

another lazy morning here, seth slept til 8.30am (in our bed!!) i gave him a bottle and he went straight back off again, so he and OH are still up there snoozing and i got a nice lazy cuppa :D not completely unpestered though, i appear to have two cats in my dressing gown with me

oh and reading, i dont do reading :o i will quite happily read a chapter or two but i'll forget to come back to it after!

yer i get that but in about £1100 a month including TC and CHB and i have about £800-900 going out and that usually before food .... honestly if it werent for TC id be better off on benefits (ok dont stone me for saying that :o but its true) x
That's one reason why they do working tax credit - to make sure people people are better off working. (Although if you're on housing/council tax benefit then it makes little difference because they count the tax credits in the calculation.)

My OH hates going shopping with me cos he says I'm embarrassing when looking for a bargain. "Oo look at the dirty mark any chance of 10% off???" etc!!

You should be proud of yourself

Since it's a franchise, I guess they all do what they want.

Alice claims her 'puter is broken and needs to go to the shop to be mended. It's only an old keyboard with the cable cut off.

Exactly - that's what I mean about not actually being financially better off. We actually would have qualified once Alice was born for about £1.20 per week because they increase your allowance and they would have counted all of our rent instead of ignoring some of it because we had a second bedroom (which you don't "need" until the day you have a child) but it was just totally not worth it for the amount of hassle involved. (But our council is a bit incompetent.)

morning. I love to read and try to read every night (depending on how shattered I am!) I like most things, except sci-fi/fantasy. My most hated read was the Lord of the rings trilogy. I read it when I was about 15-16 and I persevered through all three books and at the end announced that they were a bit rubbish :rotfl: Just not my cup of tea. I love a good political biography (okay don't run away on me) but enjoy chick-lit and spy thrillers too :D

HV due in about half an hour. LO meant to be asleep, but she's woken up so I've left her in her cot for a few more minutes as shes not crying.

    better get on ....
