Where does the time go?
  • Afternoon all :D

Not been around for ages as things have been manic and my darling daughter has decided she wants me to spend all day pulling faces and chatting with her and anything other than my undivided attention is simply not good enough

Well it's finally happen DH has been made redundant today so that's it now, in all honesty I'm worried about the money situtation but I'm also a little jealous that he will be at home with her when I go back to work in the new year, is that wrong

At least now he's home it may mean I get some time to actually get some things done (and even manage to keep up with you on here)

Right, off to get something ready for a freecycler to pick up - back later

hello not been on much today just catching up and cleaning my house incase the CPN had been !!!!!ing about me :D HV came out and went mad when i told here what she had said, she said she had no right to say that and that another complaint had been put in about the similar comments she has made to someone else. she is also putting us forward for councilling? there is a 3 weeks list and havent spoken to OH so im not sure if he will agree?
i got my depo today in my arm?? usually in the bum but as long as it keeps working lol! i have also lost 2 stone since the last one :D

need to catch up but we have britax car seats for the two little ones in one car and the other has inbuilt car seats. I still usse the maxi cosi for erin as she is still dinky and fits. can i ask how many bottles you give your LO a day? erin is still not eating and taking quite a lot, i was thinking of cutting them down but not sure how many?
What's for you won't go past you

hi caz - congratulations on loosing 2 stone! That's impressive :D

LO now gets 1 6oz bottle, breakfast, lunch, afternoon 6oz bottle, tea and then bedtime 8oz bottle. She doesn't always drink all the milk. She doesn't have a huge appetite and as she's not well just now, it's even less. Lunch was half a yogurt! SO long as shes taking her fluids I'm not too worried for the moment. I think they recommend 600-800ml of milk per day for Erins age, but that can also be made up by counting the milk in porridge, yogurts, custard etc.

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • I am desperately trying to catch up while Benjamin destroys all the leaflets that came in the post.

I think I may be coming to the end of my usefulness - Benjamin has refused the booby all day but has just downed a full carton of formula. Feel half relieved and half sad! Will keep offering for now and see how we go.

lol - black reflection - everything we have is black. It started with my need/want/desire for a black pram as we didn't know what sex LO would be......even though I have tried to buy pink covers etc, I always end up with black big items and white covers/sheets etc. Just as well as everything everyone else buys her is pink! :p:o

I keep saying we aren't having more, but the mse side of me thinks that black is suitable just in case we ever had a boy......:rotfl::eek::D
lol, ours is black with green and turquoise aeroplanes on it (can you beleive my spell check doesn't recognise aeroplanes as a word!!??)
I'd strongly advise the summer cover then, I think it comes in either turquoise or white, I went for turquoise for stain hiding reasons ;) the black bit does get really hot in the summer and Chris would cry sometimes so I had been trying to place towels strategically for ages before I just bought the cover.
    I got mine here http://www.discountbabyequip.co.uk/maxi-cosi-tobi-summer-cover.ir?cName=carseat-accessories-group-123-accessories
it was the only plac that had it in stock, I had no problems after being worried about ordering from somewhere I'd not heard of :)

Sorted now :) Got the parcel on my knee right now, sticking the address label on :D Just got distracted by a phone call..

Just found out my close colleague's mum passed away suddenly on Wednesday :( It's going to hit her incredibly hard.. :(:(:( (I know it would be hard for anyone, but..)

Sami, meant to say, Rhys finally wore the dungarees you sent him yesterday :D Had to have him looking smart for the hospital ;)
aww your poor friend, I just can't imagine my mum not being there one day :(

Aww did you get a photo? Edgar has well and truely out grown them in the next size lol
i thought mook was the law type person .. he just said it would be wierd for other staff  (two people dont like him) but then text 5 mins later saying theres not jobs anyway (i think he realised he could get in trouble) ..

docs have refered me to a councellor she did offer anti depress tablets but i said not i dont like taking pills if i feel i dont have to but i have to wait til next year .. although she understands howstressed i am and if i any worse to go back to her ..

i entered jayden in a baby contest he wouldnt smile for the camera but as soon as we left he start giggling  so next thursday we pick the photo and you can vote from the 7th (think he passes the grade) so girlies i may need your help ..

((hugs)) if needed and :D to everyone else x
she is in law but as it's not her area of expertise I wasn't sure if she's be up on the latest :)
It's certainly not right to say you can't have a job because someone else who works there doesn't like you but I'm not sure if you could prove it in a tribunal or anything and there's not clear discrimination like if they'd said you can't have the job because a member of staff doesn't like gays/women/blacks/jews/etc
I personally would think of it was a positive that I wouldn't want to work with such poopey heads :p

    I am hopping mad.

Soon as I picked up Keira, I knew she was in a foul mood, because she started the "go to blakeys house" and I said no. He started hitting her last night, his mum said it was because he was hopped up on sugar. Oh so everyday then?

We were close to home and near Blakeys house and she kicked off when I headed towards our building, and she ran towards me, with this evil face and hit me! 3 times! I am not putting up with that, and she has NEVER hit me or anyone before, so obviously it's because she see's him laying into his mum when he doesnt get his own way, and he is always hitting other kids etc.

Not sure how I discourage the friendship but Im defiatly not putting up with her picking up his bad traits!

She's always said she's never lost anyone close to her before (grandparents passed away when she was too young to remember) :(

OH has been wafting a camera around all week  I'll check later once he downloads the pics :) I think they'll last a few wears yet but it won't be long before they're too small :( Please tell me it's normal to be sad when they grow out of something you really like?! :o

SM, I don't understand. What have you asked for and why would it be weird for others?

MFD, *hugs* :o You're still useful to us! :p Maybe Benjamin's just doing what Izzy did.. :)

    We have 4 6oz a day (occasionally 5).
First thing in the morning, mid morning, mid afternoon and bed.
I'm thinking we might drop one next week when she starts nursery. They get breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch then afternoon snack - i'm not sure she'll fit a couple of bottles in too!

I think I may be coming to the end of my usefulness - Benjamin has refused the booby all day but has just downed a full carton of formula. Feel half relieved and half sad! Will keep offering for now and see how we go.

Thats how it ended for us. We had a few weeks of morning and night boobie - but she eventually lost interest. I was quite happy to get my boobies back but was sad last week when she was full of cold and i didn't have the instant fix-all remedy! :o
