Having a good week off work and enjoying spending more time with Charlotte.

Her favourite game is picnics. I gave her an old tablecloth and she lays that out on the floor, then I have to sit next to it and she cooks and serves me various food and drinks :D
Here I go again on my own....

  • Another vote for Rufus here :) We didn't do too badly last night. Izzy woke up just before I went to bed, then we were up for nearly an hour, but at least we were only up once. Then she slept through till gone 7! A great improvement on most of this week. I feel almost human again.

Here, lovely! :D Did you want me for something or just noticed the lack of my usual drivel? :p;) (I was at my Mum's getting fed too!)

Glad you got there safe :) Are you staying indefinitely? Do the docs all know you're away from home in case they want to get in touch with good news of some appointments for you? :) xxx

Nothing specific, I just missed you :o

Not here for long I don't think. Parents are off on holiday on Friday afternoon, so I'd be here in an empty house! Don't know if OH will come and get me this weekend, or if I will have a few days alone and get the train back. Just needed to wake up somewhere nice.

I don't know what to do about the house cleaning thing, I don't know if a thorough clean would work. I think it is more in my head. It happened in the last house I lived in, for some reason it felt so dirty. In the end, I couldn't cook there, or use cutlery, so I could only eat store bought sandwiches. Also couldn't go in the bathroom, so usually had to go to Parents for a shower, or strip wash in the kitchen! I don't want that to happen in the other house, but it is getting similar. It is other things that bother me this time though, the carpets, bed and sofa.

Not told anyone I'm here, will get OH to open my post and check messages. Don't think anyone will be in touch anyway!

Jillie, you asked about names... DH likes Kester and Rufus and Cadmus...I suggested Felix, but we thought it maybe sounded like we were having a kitten :rotfl: I also suggested Bruno (cos I know Brunos and Ferguses make good brothers ;)) but DH said 'We're not posh enough sweetie'. Pah!

Ahh names thats what I need to start thinking about..... knew I was missing something... gonna be hard though as took ages to sort Henry's out mainly as OH wanted Ferguson for middle name and needed something that would go with that and surname! Other trouble I have is some names I like I have then seen kids with same names who are little sods so think thats not good idea
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

Name suggestion for Weezl - what about Thaddeus? I like it, but OH thinks it is a bit 'out there'. Is it just my illogical brain that categorises that with Fergus, Edward, Rufus et Al?

Toby is in his walker and is squealling with excitement at there being new toys! I'm eating Millionaires Shortbread. Going to go a bit of housework, then to Waitrose to buy posh food :D

Just done my first shop on Approved foods - bulk bought tinned tomatoes (I use lots in my cooking)

    I love Approved Foods!
Does she do that thing where you say to someone 'watch this' and do your stoopid thang....and instead of the fits of giggles you had before she just looks at you blankly as if to say 'do you know you look a t!t mother '

I would personally struggle to take an odd number :o so would be aiming for either 12 or 14 (he normally wears 4 or 5 a day).

Me too. On both counts. Molly goes through about that number of nappies, and for 2 1/2 days away I'm taking 24, because that way there is not only an even number of nappies in excess of what she is likely to need, but an even number for each day.

hmm... you are strange :D ... i am okay with odd numbers, but my thing is food/food juices touching each other.

Hate that too, although sauce that is poured over can touch whatever it is poured over (it may not touch anything I didn't want it to touch). I have a real problem with runny thin Bavarian sauces, they get everywhere!

Weezlie, I love those names! I think Kester is my favourite. I also like Ruadhan.

    Hugs, feelie :grouphug:

Would a mattress cover and a sofa throw help you feel better about the bed and sofa? They'd be washable. I know OCD's so hard to deal with, maybe a workaround would be better.

Husband has just texted, he's being a shining example of textbook necrotising pancreatitis for the medical students and they're appreciating his total honesty and memory for small details. So aside from being stuck in bed having pus flushed out of his abdomen he's fine :rotfl:

Molly whinging a bit after a monster feed. She's finally getting to be interested in toys, she has a ball with a floating turtle in it that she has been whacking around the place.

I've been up and down our four flights of stairs today hunting our postman after Mum insisted she heard the doorbell. No one there either time ... finally an explanation was found. She doesn't know the different sounds of the front door, apartment door and the text message noise on my phone  Luckily the exercise is good for me.

Busy day again today, packing for Paris and making sure Husband's ok while we're gone. See you all later, hugs for anyone who wants one.
