How did I just spend £70 in Lidl? I swear to blog they aren't as cheap as they once were, but I did get a big giant frozen turkey for £9, which I'm going to cook next week, and all the leftovers should make a fair few meals. I really need to start cooking diffo things, getting well bored of the same shiote!

Oh yes and my periods started last night at the party and I had to buy ONE tampon out a machine for £3. SOB

His feeding and sleeping times vary every day but he always every 3 hours during the day and 4 during the night - he would normally have a bottle between 7-9pm then jammies on and have a cuddle with me (normally falling asleep) then next bottle 3 hours later, straight to sleep and then in cot. He would then wake 4 hours after the bottle.
Now I give him the earlier bottle, bath, jammies and put him down (In the cot if i can) and give the dream feed 3 hours after the previous bottle.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

pookie if you're still here.. do you leak milk when feeding him? if so it sounds like your let down reflex is still going, it should wear off in a while (can't remember how long though)

Fruity porridge is a better success.. :)
  • Well I know where my hot water bottle is cos I was using it for my sore back when pg. Anything is worth a try at 2am, however I would like to know why he does not find this to be a problem during the day lol. Think he is just being stubborn, we actually bought a slumber nest to see if co-sleeping would help but we only have a double bed and it's very cramped when we use it.
    Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!
Brand new baby boy (Matthew) born 3 weeks early weighing a diddly 5lb 4 oz!!
  • Sami-yes I am leaking rivers when I feed him lol!! Did wonder if it could be the let-down reflex. God how do you breastfeeders cope with that pain all the time, feels like needles being poked into my nips!!! Thought it would have stopped after two weeks but obviously not.

Glam, I'd say if you stop the dream feed, see if there's a pattern to his waking then it might make it more obvious if there's a better time to do it.

    BM - how much?!?!?!?!

Have you tried a really firm bra? Weezl said it worked for her and it's also what a MW recommended to me.
I had that pain for about 3mths with Ed  the things I do for my babe :p
I can't remember how quick my milk went after I stopped feeding Chris but it was quite quick, I have heard that its possible to take months though :undecided
I think if it continues to be a problem you can ask GP for medication to dry it up quicker but I'm not sure if its licensed in the UK coz I've only heard of it being used in the US

Pookie a nice padded bra seems to help me, but because we did \BF and then we slowly stopped its just a tingle rather than a full on nipple clench. Don't hold him to close to your boobs when feeding him a bottle either.

My boys helped me to tidy up and the living room is looking all spiffy :D very happy mummy :D Between them they cleaned the two glass panelled doors ans wiped down the wood panelling in the hall with polish so it smells all lovely out there.
