    Morning all! :)
elle, I thought you were a bit younger, maybe 22 or 23  Not sure why though, think you look quite young on your FB pics :D

That'll be why I get ID'ed for buying liquer (sp?) chocolates then! :o

Rhys had his last bottle at 1am, was asleep on OH until half three (weekend off, can you tell?!) then in his crib and asleep until 7.30am so he's finally lasting longer between night bottles. We used to get an eight hours stretch in the evening then back to three hours through the night. I brought him into our bed at half seven, fed him, then we woke up again at ten. He's been shouting at OH and poking him ever since! :p

Into town for us later to try on our rings for size and get the engraving ordered, and to the market for fruit and veg and then a pureeing session back home - multicoloured icecubes, here we come! :D

Tomorrow, we're at a Christening where OH is Godfather. Still have no idea what I'm going to wear.. might have to go back to my mum's to get the two huge vac bags of clothes I have there :o

Hi Millies mum - No scan date yet:(

Elle - I also thought you were slightly younger about 23.

I was trying to get this flaming essay written while Kai was napping but stupid Microsoft word kept freezing/crashing so now it is 11 and Kai has just woken for his bottle Grrrr I hate Microsoft stuff!!!

He will have another nap about 2.30/3pm so will have to try and keep in mind what I was going to write and see if I can get it done then, if the stupid Word will work........I'm sure I have other writing software hanging around on this computer somewhere, will have to try and look for it!!

    Mel x

I prefer the baby bjorn carrier to the sling, but not after your dinner cos then it feels like your pregnant again. But they all hurt my back because I have a kink in my spine.

DS1 used a child minder and DS2 has a nursery. They are both very different children. DS1 was the type that did better with a CM DS2 does better with nursery.

Bruno, will he settle if you take him into bed for cuddles at 5am? The boys still wake at 5am, but they now stay in their own bed or hop into each others :rotfl: It's not the first time I have came down to the living room to see them watching tv and had to hunt them back to bed. Can't suggest anything to you because nothing worked for me except a cuddle so I could sleep on and now letting them watch tv.

My section scar is either playing up or I have cramp, either way wish it would make its mind up.

glam, just a thought, but didnt you say jack has a lot of wind? a dream feed might not be the best thing in that case, cos if he takes any wind in while drinking it, it could cause him to be more restless than usual?

can i ask some advice please?
seth now only drinks 4 bottles in the day and only takes about 3oz each time, i have tried giving him smaller meals but this hasnt made any difference, and at night he now seems to want 2-3 feeds. at first i didnt mind cos he was getting the nutrition he needs, but not having a full nights sleep in 8 months is now really starting to take its toll :o i am considering trying to give him water when he wakes in the night to see if the theory of "if theres nothing to bother waking up for then he wont" works, but at the same time i dont want to deprive him of getting the nutrition he needs. he only drinks about 1-2oz at each feed through the night so i think he is probably just waking with a dry throat perhaps.
i have been putting scoops of formula in his food at each meal so he is getting the nutrition of another 6oz worth of milk in his food, but without the liquid. i make a cup filled with boiled water up each morning and spend hours through the day trying to get him to drink from it but as soon as he gets the taste of the water he spits the cup out, along with the water
he slept through for about a month when he was 3-4 months old, but that was when he was drinking 8-9oz bottles every hour and a half so there was no worry about nutrition then!!
    what would you do?

Sami - is he latched properly hun? Or do you think he needs something more? Feeding for 2 hours would indicate a problem to me :o Or try a dummy if he is just comfort sucking?

You should try my carrot cake :D

Running off before my hubby disowns me
He was comfort/sleepy sucking for most of the time, he doesn't do it very often so I'm not worried/bothered :) He refusses to have a dummy but I was planning another go but he seems to only like a boob to suck on he's not even very fond of his thumb/fingers - bit of a pain but hopefully he'll have perfect teeth when he's big;)

    Hiya everyone!
I'm going to go back and read a few pages a bit later.
I am having a bad day today, yesterday while getting out of bed I think i pulled something in my back right by the shoulder blade, it was a bit sore but nothing too bad, until I went to bed last night, OMG the pain was excrutiating!
I haven't slept all night because the pain was just shooting down my back all night no matter how I laid, even after 3 codine and 2 paracetamol, there was bad pain.
It's not much better today, I've been crying in pain on and off :( doesed myself up on painkillers, but am goig to try some anti inflamitorrys (thanks for reminding me fitzo, and I feel your pain!)

Anyway, I've had a mental week, especially regarding work and childcare.
I've luckily got the childcare situation sorted, I phoned her up and found out that because Aston went there before I dont have to pay the registration fee, and because Ryry will be starting in 2 weeks, I just have to pay the weeks fees in advance and carry on like that, which is so much better, so now I only have to find £93 not £216! Mum is lending it to me and i'll pay her back a bit each week.

But then I sorted all that out and found out that work cant offer me any shifts on the days I want at the moment because the November and December rotas are already done! thanks for telling me that before!
So now I'm going to work one night shift, then 1 other shift a week, I just have to do the night shift on a Sunday or Tuesday as the boys childcare is for Monday and Wednesday!

Ryry has got a settling in session on Monday at 9.30am, I feel soo nervous!

I lay awake last night worried that I might have upset you with my comment and then running away :o I am glad that you didn't take offence.

It was this kind of long comfort sucking that made me try Benjamin with a dummy again when he was about 12 weeks and he just took to it! Before that he didn't seem to understand how to keep it in his mouth!!

I have been cleaning for 4 hours!!!

Off for a shower before I go out to meet 3 and Krystal.

Hubby's family are here later so I probably won't be back on. See you tomorrow.
