I
Granted, there is chunky monkey Rhysy to show for all my time and effort
Someone said to me the other day "You've done really well.. you should be proud of yourself".. At first I didn't get it, but now I'm starting to feel proud of myselfMy dad's speech at my sister's wedding had something in it about him being proud of both of us but I wasn't sure what for with me (my sis is the one with the degree etc), but now at least I know I've done something to be proud of..
Oh, my potential breast feeding supporter training!! THAT's what I'm going to be starting in January too... I knew there was something!
Having children is a huge thing.
I'm sure your father meant he's proud that you have done well for yourself. So many ways you can be proud of people.
Something to look forward to in January too. See, lots to show
I must get to bed. I feel ill. I said too much and ate too much
Night :T0 -
If it helps to talk about it MM, bring it up all you like
*hugs* I don't know what else to say..

You're proud of Rhys no?
Your Daddy was/is proud that you turned out to be a lovely young ladyFive in stock at my nearest if you want me to get it and post it?
ETA: Or there are lots in the Hull stores if your sis could get it if she's coming over to your side of the country anyway
I may disappear in a mo so if I do Night night x0 -
You don't need to have a degree to be something to be proud of!

Emmensly (sp?) proud of Rhys, but just didn't think I'd done much to be proud of.. he's the one who did the fighting and the docs did the treating - I just stuck my hand in the inci and prodded him!Am proud of myself now though, it just took time
Nighty night xx0 -
*sigh* Maybe sleep isn't on the cards here..
Rhys just woke himself up coughing.. three coughs and then the reappearance of everything he ate seven hours ago (all over his sleeping bag and OH, who's chest he was asleep on) First time we've ever had proper sick and not reflux.. ah well, at least I know the difference for sure now!
He seems absolutely fine now - looking at us like he doesn't know what all the fuss was about :rolleyes:0 -
Urgh... groan, groan, grumble, grumble...
Rhys stayed awake until 4.15am and I drifted off at something gone half five, both in the living room. Then delightful OH woke us both up at half six. Don't even know why he came in here - just woke up to hear him rattling keys and generally being too noisy.
So I've had an hour's sleep.. what funRhys is fine, coughing occasionally but not been sick anymore

Morning :hello:
Andrew is still maintaining his (relatively) regular 4hrly wakes for feeds, and I'm still trying to maintain some kind of pumping routine too - my sleep started at 11pm, Marley fed Andrew at midnight, I woke at 2am to pump, at 4am to feed Andrew, then got up at 7am to pump before his next feed. Anyone want to lay bets on how much longer I can maintain this? :rotfl: Co-ordinating pumping with feeding only ever lasts for a day before Andrew plays sillywotsits and shifts his feeds!
P.S. (watching BBC Breakfast) - I drank wine regularly at home from about 13 years old, only a glass a week and my parents never drank to excess so I wasn't in an "alcohol" environment. I didn't turn into a binge drinker, despite rumours to the contrary! I'd say I binge once a year at the works xmas party, that's all. So I shall probably be gently introducing Andrew to alcohol in a controlled environment when he's older (presuming the govt haven't made it a hanging offence by then). What does everyone else think?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

So you should!
My Mam said similar to me.
My brother has sailed through life getting a degree, good job, marriage, family etc. It's all sort of fell in his lap with little effort.
My life has been more of struggle with all sorts of crap being flung at me which I've managed to get through and I'm still here.
Although it's not academic or anything like that, my parents are really proud of how I've coped and brought up three lovely bairns etc. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Right grabbing 1 minute to post while I can...after trying to catch up with you lot... thought it would be easier now I'm off but you talk too much.
Still keeping up with the BF but wanted to ask Krystal or you other ladies for advice. LO (yes still no name!!) only seems to want about 15 mins at a time despite hospital saying I should do 30 at least? Then he seems to fall asleep on the breast despite stripping him and tickling feet etc.... any advice please.
Also he will always have big farting/pooing session as soon as I start feeding him so get thrown btw changing nappy or carrying on feeding.
Having a nightmare still trying to get him to sleep in cot aswell..have ended up in spare bed just us 2 just so everyone can get some sleep.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Hurrah for Mums..
Mine is on her way over, travel cot in tow, to whisk Rhys away to my Grandparents for the day. He was roaring at me across the monitor when I phoned her so she flew into action but he's since gone to sleep - have told her but she's still coming early anyway
ETA: Hi Maz.. sorry, can't help on the BFing, just wanted to offer a supportive :grouphug:0 -
