Yep he is thanks, even changing Henrys dirty nappy whilst I was in hospital giving birth!! No seriously he has been doing loads, we had words last night but it was good as both needed a good shout at each other and felt sooo much better after it!!

What did you store EBM in Sami? Anything special or something bog standard?
    Good OH :)
at first I stored EBM in the TT little pots http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10751&langId=-1&productId=1569&source=froogle&cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Shopping%20Sites-_-CPC-_-Froogle then when I was getting more I used the bags, I haven't expressed for ages though and didn't do it very often anyway (I'm the worst person to ask with my paranoia :o) I always froze it, but 1 time I kept it in a bottle because it was for while mum looked after him (but he slept the whole time I was gone!)
I really want Ed to take a bottle but I never know when/how to give him it and OH is what feels like never here so I just carry on BFing while having hair that is half blonde half brown :p
sorry turned that into a bit of a mope

LOL no, the house is all upside down, I can't cope with the pram coming in too (its in the car) I'm waiting for tesco to arrive with a big shop and need to give the sofa cushions another scrub and sort this tip to make room for the tree when it comes - oh and OH isn't coming home until 2mo now :( Someone remind me to put the bin out later!

Well we're awake again and in a much better mood. Mum left us to sleep (cos Rhys was zonked and I wouldn't sleep if she hung around) and went into town so she was always only ten minutes away in case Rhys woke up and was a pest :o She's on her way to us now, with lunch for me :) At least I'll get time to go to Asda and maybe town.

The builder called round. He's coming tomorrow to build up the wall round the window (don't ask.. it just crumbled away!) and then back on Tuesday to plaster :j Forgot to ask him how much it'd be.. oops!

Thankyou hun xx Yeah, he's getting more fun by the day ;) Can relax a bit now.. Once Saturday (eye check) is out the way we haven't got any appointments I'm worried about, they're more like checkups that I'm expecting to be fine (hearing in Jan and heart in Feb)

ETA Glam - don't be sorry - make the most of it!!!

Scruffy - can you use a cup at three months? I'd assumed they'd choke? Have tried 4 different bottles and a three month cup with a valve thing on and she wouldn't take any of them. Might have to try a cup then...Mum would be happy to take her time if it got the milk in her. Thank you xxx

I know you had answers but I cup fed Jack at 2 days old. Because I wanted to BF but he had to have Formula top ups and I didn't want him to get nipple/teat confusion. I used the lid to a bottle to do it, it is hard going though and by Day 4 I gave up :o and FF him anyway. It was taking 30minutes for him to take 20ml and that was every 2.5hours . Charly might be easier though because she is older.

    morning!!

hope all mummies got a bit more sleep last night!

ooh the free book we all got on bangzo turned up. had a quick flick through. section on keeping your baby awake for 1 1/2hrs and then sleep for 1 1/2hrs.... and waking them for a feed 30mins before its time for them to have a feed. not sure bout all of that,, but i will sit down over the next few weeks and read through properly.

Kian slept all night from bout 9.45 till 6.30. so i feel nice and rested today.

Almost the same as Jack 9pm til 6am - thought he would have woken earlier though because he only took 2.5 ozs at Dream Feed (I think he was semi awake). He then went back to sleep at 6.30am til 10am and fell asleep again at 11.30am. Very sleepy baby here!

I should be washing clothes and sorting clothing situation for me and Jack out but I CBA!!!

Giving blood - I need to do it as well BM. Not done it for years, had 2 major operations in 2 years and then fell pregnant.
A friend did the Platelet thing - she said it's very strange as you see the blood coming out and then going back in after they've filtered some of the platelets. I plan to start doing that as well.

Seems you have to wait til baby is 9 months old to give blood so plan is that once I go back to work I get into it again.

I'm also on Organ Register which OH went mad about but he can sod off - I don't need them when I've gone and neither does he :p

Am sure there was something else I wanted to comment on but memory like a sieve!

Jack's awake now :j off to play with my boy!

Where does the time go?

SS- I am so sorry that your Mum has left on bad terms. I would probably come to England but stay in a hotel so you have your own space. Am I right in thinking that you have ordered (and paid for) all the festive food at your Mum's?

Yes - on my list for the day is cancelling whatever the three of us (bearing in mind that Molly doesn't eat solids) won't need.
Sugar, I'm so sorry your brother is ruining such a special first christmas for you... Would you like to join us instead? We have a double bed settee and an enthusiastic 5 year old :)

Very kind of you - we're waiting till the dust settles to make a final decision, but if the worst happens we'll stay with a friend of mine.

Ah Krystal, hope my post didn't come across wrong. It's just when I read (serial lurker that I am) about Glam's Jack and Jillies Kian sleeping through at the same age as Charly, I sometimes feel I'm doing something wrong. It's just comforting to know I'm not alone :o xxx

    Hugs to all xxx

I feel the same way - my 4 1/2 month old wakes 2-5 times a night.

Also he will always have big farting/pooing session as soon as I start feeding him so get thrown btw changing nappy or carrying on feeding.

Feed first, then change, then offer him the boob again - he should be awake enough after the change to latch back on ;)

Hugs for all you sleepy people and wakey babies, at MOTM and ;) at everyone who was whisked away for rude time last night. We had a small party - it snowed so a lot of people didn't make it, but we had fun and eventually poured the last person out the door at midnight. Still no word from my family - but we did notice that the instant coffee they brought over for us has gone, as has our toothpaste

Why the clucking cluck would they take out toothpaste?!

Molly's still being a ravening crank, but has gone down to sleep with only token protest. From the chewing on everything and that she locates anything to the same portion of her mouth, I'm guessing it's teeth, but the piercing shriek and the biting down is rather unpleasant.

And I've no idea what to do about my family, but I ranted about that yesterday and I don't want to rehash it today. I spoke to my uncle, and his suggestion is to go as planned, have a hotel phone number or three to hand in case the dog misbehaves, and leave early. I think that's the most sensible solution - but I'll be making sure none of my stuff remains there just in case. I have a few ballgowns, a bag of shoes and a box of books in the attic, and next year's birthday presents for Husband, not to mention a vast array of stuff for Molly. The shipping people will make a lot of money from us this year.

    Edit:

I wasn't allowed alcohol at home, and there was a bit of binge drinking in my youth but I can count the number of times I overestimated my ability to drink on the fingers of one hand. The problem I had was that more than two or three creamy or overly sweet drinks would cause my blood sugar to go insane and I'd faint, or else I'd get to bed fine but sleepwalk.

Also, I'm not allowed to give blood because I had sex in Africa, with a monogamous partner who had never had sex in Africa. Weird.

That would be the sensible thing :) I always put them out later once all the school kids have got home, being near the trainstation we get loads going by and they think it's funny to put bins in the road/move them etc

Why did he go mad? do you think if the worst happened he'd go against your wishes? (because once you're married he'd have to give consent wouldn't he?)
I made OH fully aware of my wishes and I got him signed up and make him carry the card, I've also told OH and Mum that if anything happened to the boys to remind me coz I think at the time I'd be so upset I'd say no even though I mean yes IYSWIM?
Can you tell I have a riend that will need a transplant at some point? :p

I've just bought Ed some bandana bibs and baby legs, though you guys would like these ones in particular http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HUGGALUGS-BABY-LEG-ARM-WARMERS-MOO-COW-PRINT_W0QQitemZ250525015941QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBaby_Clothing?hash=item3a54745f85
