Im not on the donor list, not sure why actually. OH won't go on it (funny how there seems to be a theme going here with men not wanting to go on it?) He said he and I quote "I might need them when I die!"......."What if there is a heaven and they don't let you in if your missing your liver.....".....

thats exactly what my OH thinks - not that he's religious in anyway, just likes to think he is!

Where does the time go?

MOTM my mother took the toothpaste as she stormed out. I'm hoping she just collected it with all her other stuff but it's possible that she did it on purpose. She also cleared the kitchen of the instant coffee they brought with them.

Oooh, I just got an email from my dad - says "See you on Monday, love Dad xxxx". And other stuff but that's the relevant bit because we never, ever say "love" in emails. Interesting................

Sorry missed this bit. Not feeling well today at all. Lucy was going home tonight for the final time for the Christmas/New Year period, but said this morning she'll stay and help with the girls as I feel unwell. I don't usually get unwell  I think she wants to move in permanently, but she hasn't actually said it straight out.

Anyhow, I think it sounds like your Mother is being a bit petty? If she has taken the 'other' side, she's doing little things to try and get back at you.

I take it your Dad may be a bit more understanding? Maybe he's trying to be more affectionate to cover for your Mother's behaviour?

BM my mother and brother were here on a visit. The topic of their undisciplined dog came up and how we're going to manage him and Molly in the same place. Husband's opinion is that the dog needs to be elsewhere, and although I was willing to compromise (having him never in the same room) I agree he can't be trusted around a baby. My brother told us we should stay in a hotel, I told him to !!!!!! and my mother got peeved because *I* was rude. The argument ended with my mother suggesting we fly over, collect the things of ours that are in their house and leave again. They left in a huff taking a bunch of petty stuff with them.

It's funny, MOTM, because my dad is noted for being the least sensitive of all of us.

  • I'm actually going to collect the youngest three from school. Lucy is working until 6 and 16yo was going to go on her own, but i'd feel better going with her. It's not that I don't trust her, just feel safer. I think it's the last school run until January, i'm sure it's the younger three who's last day is today and the oldest 3 tomorrow.....I don't know, my head is spinning. I'm sure it is as older 3 go on their Xmas school trips tomorrow....must be  :rotfl:

Anyway, will be back later all being well. Have a nice afternoon/evening everyone. Just don't eat too many chocolates. Bleurgh.

Maz, try not to worry about timing feeds... Some babies like little and often... Just make sure you are offering it to him regularly :) I'm with those who say wait until he's finished his feed, then change his nappy, then offer the other side...

SS, intriguing email from your Dad... Do you think he may be thinking you're Mum has been unfair? Do you want me to post you some coffee over in replacement?

We'll be up in Liverpool the day after boxing day if anyone is organising a mini meet? ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

MM, it's lovely is'nt it? I am not so keen on the spotty top so may team it with something else, but it's so soft!

SS, I didn't know your mum was 12....

MOTM, firstly 'wey-hey on last night', then 'oohhhh L so soon?' and a little bit, 'moving in... uhm... bit soon but you a grownup, so best of luck!' :D

I feel an ebay session comng on, Amber is outgrowing the 3-6month stuff, a lot of dresses show her bum.

Krystal, we never use instant coffee, we have an espresso machine - but Brother doesn't like coffee from beans so they brought loads of single-use instant coffee with them and said they'd leave it here for future visits. I do occasionally drink instant rather than good coffee, but only when I need coffee and Husband is out because the machine's too high up for me to reach easily :rotfl:

I think my dad is trying to make sure we come over. I imagine my mother's regretting what she said but feels unable to actually hop off her high horse yet, and it's a coded sort of message from my dad. In any case, it would be horribly unfair on him to have his family Christmas snatched away as well.

  • Hi all.

Hubby kicked my butt and has sent me to work today with strict instructions that he does not want to see me until tomorrow evening. SO in about an hour I am off to check into the hotel, get my self glammed up (lots of concealer on the black bin liners that are under my eyes!) and then to the pub for drinks and Secret Santa.

Praying that Benjamin behaves for his daddy...and that hubby doesn't have a terrible time of it and refuse to ever let me leave the house again!

    ((HUGS)) to all.

SS what a nightmare. For what it is worth - if I told my brother to !!!!!! in front of my mother she would disown me!!
