HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
Another quiet NYE here. No indulgent food in this house as I spent Xmas at my mum's eating too much, had a bit of a shock to discover my frozen HM spag bol was actually chicken curry - not so great with pasta! Having a glass of wine to celebrate and off for a run tomorrow morning.0 -
I'm taking the lead from sary and force feeding the kids the last of the xmas sweets etc, it is all laid out on the table and they keep helping themselves, I am hoping tomorrow it will be all gone, weighed myself again and since yesterday I weigh another 2.5lb crumbs I am good at this, piling on the pounds so since xmas day according to the scales I weigh 10 more lbs:rotfl: wow hey, then the scales say errr 2 10lb that is a world record:rotfl::rotfl:0

Happy New Year to you all
Big thanks to Missy for sending me a PM to check if I was okay
I've been a bit preoccupied for the last 2 or 3 monthsGreat way to keep fit.
So, Hello to any Newbies :hello: and it's great to see all the familiar faces still here and still losing
I was so happy to see my name still on the chart (thanks FS) :j and will need to start posting again as I have gone 2lb over my target weight - and it was all down to chocolate, mince pies, christmas pud - I'm sure you get the picture.
I know if I don't stick with the chart my weight will slowly begin to creep upwardsand with my new 'hobby' that won't be acceptable.

Happy 2010 to all my LW friends!
At last I can stop eating all the chocolate/biscuits/cheese .... it was my duty to try to finish it all up so it didn't go to waste but I think it's all gone to waist instead (and hips/thighs). Mr Granny will have to eat the rest now.
I bought a new coat in the sales yesterday which was a size 12 (my old coat was size 20 so didn't really fit anymore) and the saleslady said a 10 would probably have been better but there wasn't one!!! :j I have never ever ever in my whole life worn a size 10 so felt like Mrs Chuffed of Chuffedland. But it was a 'good' make and they do always come up bigger, I know.0 -
Good to see you back FFM!
Now we can see why you've been so busy! Are you enjoying being a horse owner? You're certainly looking great in the pic! :T
Granny, result about the coat!It must feel ultra-glam wearing a coat four sizes smaller! :j
Victory all I can say is a similar thing happens to me - I get wallopped with gains if I even go a small amount over what I normally eatIn my case I think it's because my metabolism still isn't quite as high as it should be (though it's a whole lot better than it was!) Good luck with seeing off the extra, I'm sure it won't be a problem for you.
We've still got too many sweet/choccy treats in the house, I've told my son to invite as many friends round as he likes today :rotfl:0 -
Wow! well done Granny
Way to go!
I'm the same unfortunately, I have to finish up all the food - still, it's nearly all gone now.... Oh, and the wine!!!!
It's good to be back Missy, I know I can get some focus back now
Having a horse has had its ups and downs as she settles and gets used to us - but it is great
I'm off to see her shortly, and will post about our many adventures - we've already had a few.

great to have you back FFM - and wow - a horse (suggest you take a deep breath NYK before clicking on the picture link). Well done for only being over by 2lbs. And well done Missy for chcecking up on a friend MIA:T.
Granny - chuffing fantastic - a size 12 coat:j:j.
Thanks beanie -hope it was a pleasant evening for you.
Unfortunately, I was attacked by vicious pain at 11.30pm and was in a bad way fo several hrs. OH then eventually fell asleep fully dressed on on my side of the bed,and I was awake on his til the wee hrs. Haven't seen him 'today' as he got up for work early. So feeling completely washed out this morning and can't blame alcohol, lol.
Peppop, I don't think I anwered your recent question - no it is not new meds but the side effects come and go and can be triggered by slight variations in dose which happened the week before. Don't think a lot can be done and coming off them would be an utter nightmare.
Still later today we have to get loads of my OH stuff in to the attic as it is our last chance before lodger returns on Sunday (please don't be a day ealy:eek:) as the house needs to be cleaned too. There is no doubt having a lodger helps me keep on top of essential housework. ON the plus side the front garden has a lot of bags of stuff ready for the dump on Monday, all from the attic and I have sevral boxes of stuff for charity shop
Missy, well done of meeting all your targets:T as well as your MSE ones: £500, what could a girl do with that:DI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
hi all newbie here! Okay so i am doing the same old resolution of losing weight - i reckon I have about 3 stone to lose before September (wedding), and i have tried and failed at the usual weight watchers and slimming world - although i haven't done the new plans.... I was doing well on calorie counting this time last year but then went on steroids and put back on about 2 stone. What diets is everyone else following...?0
