Great achievement mc:Tl
2lb gain for me please fred
Victory - it sounds a very positive step forward that you DH actually expressed how difficult he finds it to get you a present you want and you told him and he did it. Good stuff.
I briefly braved the town today with a couple of essential tasks and while there, picked up a new paper shredder with vouchers. So I have a new toy to play with:j:j.
Eating my way through friend's xmas hamper rather than get peoper meals at the mo. Just too tired to be bothered and it is easy and there.
I need to draw up a meal plan again - so obvious and easy yet I keep putting it off
We're spending NY's eve in which suits us very well, just chilling together and a bit of Jools H. I'm going to make a particulalry lush lasagne.
I've got a positive feeling about 2010 and what better way to start it than lots of yummy cheese?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Thanks for all the kind words. Now I've got below the 12 stone mark I am most definitely NOT going back there again.
I started doing this in May via www.weightlossresources.co.uk but realistically, I've lost more since July. I hadn't really shifted much between May and July.
As for Christmas, best forgotten. We went on a 4-day Christmas break but discovered, too late, that it was a big hotel and as we drew up outside we were closely followed by several coachloads of wrinklies. Now, we are wrinklies ourselves, but a coach holiday - a bit like 'happy campers' and the obligatory bingo every evening! We paid for 4 dinners but only ate one, the first night - couldn't stand the flashing lights, the shouty man behind the disco equipment going on and on about why everybody should buy lots of bingo tickets...
We'd already decided we'd avoid the 4-course Christmas lunch with trimmings and visit from Santa!! So, I haven't had any Christmas cake, any Christmas pudding, any chocolates, and only had a couple of mince pies at a monthly political meeting a couple of weeks ago.
A 210-room hotel should have better lift provision, so suffice to say, we may go away again at Christmas but not to a hotel that takes coach parties.
Today it was DH's 75th birthday and we thought of going out to lunch, but then decided to get some sirloin steak from the local butcher, get some fruit and veg from the little greengrocer and we had a lovely meal from that.
I have practically stopped eating potatoes in any shape or form. I seem to have just gone off them altogether.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Hi all, I dont weigh in again until 7th Jan but just wanted to check how everyone is doing.
Ive been a bit naughty with it being xmas and all!But I was good until xmas day and from then its gone a bit downhill because I got a LOT of chocolate for christmas!
And since its in the cupboard.. I want to eat it! Argh! :rotfl:
Ive still been having smaller portions than I used to so Im hoping even with this bit of naughtyness that I still lose something. I had a Terrys chocolate orange that I opened and used to share one with OH and we would have half each.. well I looked at the packet and 3 pieces are over 130 cals! So I had 3 and put it away. :T
Hope you all had a good xmas and have a happy new year everyone!Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0 -
Cooo-er MC that's a brilliant loss for the festive season ... but I'm sorry your break turned out so disappointingly. Better luck for next year! (But then it might be a gain if you have a better time!)0

Oh MC that is sooooo funny!!!! Hilarious. I love people like you. I always feel slightly embarassed by partaking in a game of bingo, although i have a snob streak in me that is for sure. Hate going in asda! ha.
I hope everyone has a lovely New years eve whether in or out! Happy new year to you all xxxxxx0 -
Im not weighing in today as im not at home so have no scales, however, seeing as i have eaten chocolate for breakfast and lunch i know it would be a horribly big gain! Yes it is terribly bad but im enjoying it and the sooner its gone the sooner im back on track! 2nd Jan is back to much healthier eating, and I think I will be nice and motivated (at least for a couple of weeks...!)
Should really work now...but instead going to watch waterloo road with my feet up on the sofa!0
