Im having a proper fat day. Im really hoping its because my period is coming and im just bloated, and not the fact im eating chocolate for breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between :p While i was shopping i was trying on and alot of it was a size 14 :/ Not gooooooooood at all, my hips have blossomed slightly shall we say, but my boyfriend needs to lose weight and i bought a bamboo steamer so we'll try and do something to shift a few lbs!

Sorry to hear about the pain bb and victory. So you are married, i did think you were! I really prove what a thicko i am in these situations ha.

    Welcome confused!

    Hey guys,

Gentle healing hugs to BB and Vic. Pain is such a horrible thing to have to deal with. I find it roots me to the spot, and I just try breathing exercises to get me through a bad episode, but the tears tend to flow at the same time, just dripping away. I hope you both feel much better soon. I had a bladder infection a few weeks back Victory, and the back pain is horrible. BB are these long-term meds, or new ones you're on?

Victory, I have a Dell inspiron 1525 that I bought a couple of years back. My only bugbear with it is that the battery pack has needed to be replaced in the past few months, but other than that, it's been fab. My son, and stepson have both bought Compaq laptops recently, which seemed to offer good storage/processor packages, and they are both very pleased with them.

Welcome Catbar and Confused, as you've probably noticed we try to keep our banter on here food related, but it does go a bit off topic along the way, but that's how we like it :D Join in as much as you feel you can, even if it's to just tell us how you're doing, if you've had a good/bad day foodwise, managed to resist temptation, planning for a forthcoming meal out, etc. The people on here are all tackling their weightloss journeys in a variety of ways, alongside a variety of situations. I try to calorie count, whilst endeavouring to keep foods low carb and low fat. That's the plan, when it's on track anyway!

So, the Christmas fayre has almost been eaten. The last of the turkey is in the freezer, the bones were used to make stock, and that's frozen too. The last of the cheesecake went today, and almost all the mince pies have gone now too. Just some Christmas cake and fruitcake yet to be eaten, although I think I can freeze the Christmas cake? I didn't get any chocolate for Christmas, and all that was bought was for the children, and that has nearly all gone now too.

I'm so fed up with the food now, that it'll be a pleasure to stop scoffing it. I am even considering starting the new regime tomorrow, so a couple of days early. Why not have a head start I say!

I must remember to put new batteries in my scales. Everytime I go to get on them now it says 'Lo'. I thought it was a compliment to begin with!

I'm feeling rather positive about the new year, whilst I've gained a few lbs in recent months, I'm still lighter than I was this time last year, so that's as good a place to start as any.

Looking forward to meeting more newbies and their stories, and sharing their journey in 2010.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Fred can you zero me on the chart please - I'm gonna start afresh and aim for a loss next Wednesday. (I've put all the Christmas treats on my top shelf in my kitchen so I don't see them and I need to get out a ladder to reach them so hopefully I'll burn excess calories climbing :D)

Hugs to BB and Victory - you both sound as if your in a lot of pain. Hope you feel better soon. BB are these meds temporary - or will the pain go away once you've taken them for a while and are used to them?

Congrats on your proposal Victory :T

    Welcome all newbees:santa2:
  • Today, 75.6 kg.

That's the lowest I've been so far, I think. Last week was 75.8 kg.

It converts to 11 stone 12 1/2 pounds and that's the lowest I've been in many a long year.

A Happy New Year to all!
