So sorry it was bad news for your OH Sary.0

Well aren't you lot just blimmin marvellous, eh? Thanks so much for all the kind words and support, it's really appreciated.
So, update: not sure what we're entitled to yet, have given all our details over the phone, and have a meeting on Friday for both of us to register for Jobseekers (urgh!). It feels scuzzy before I've even gone there. I'm sure it'll be OK once we've been. OH has had a look for jobs online, but found nothing locally so far. It's early days yet.
As I pointed out to a friend earlier today, I have experienced far worse things in my life, so this should be a walk in the park.
I'll let you all know how things go. OH has been in touch with a couple of friends to see if htey can put anything his way.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
sorry to hear about OH job sary, hope something comes along soon
2lb off this week :j0 -
Right quick confession time and... well actually except a slight lack of exercise it's not been too bad today. Nothing passed my lips from the 3 c's and I didn't even force myself to clear my plate at lunch. I definitely think the key to me avoiding biscuits at work is to have breakfast and not to feel run down in any way. Must try to repeat this tomorrow with the addition of a gym session. unfortunately can't weigh in this week but it does give me a couple of weeks to see if I'm back on the right track.0

Sary if a positive attitude and determination counts for anything you and your OH will get through this with flying colours. You seem an amazingly well balanced and capable person. Good luck and love from Granny XX0

Sary - I'm sorry to hear your news - I hope that he will be able to find something else soon.0 -
Thanks for the chart fredsnail.
I have decided everytime I want my beloved crisps i'm either going to drink a glass of water or have a mug of my other love, coffee! My biggest downfall this week was crisps again, they were on special in Tesco, and bought some for the little one's packed lunch. BIG mistake. I will try to encourage him to get things that I don't like, like quavers or skips.
Got my insoles from the hospital yesterday. Don't think I will manage to walk very far in them at first. And the 5" heels will definitely be out for a few weeks :rotfl:but the strengthening exercises from physio are really helping with the pain.
Onwards and upwards!!!!4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
