victory those burgers sound gorgeous! however black beans do . . . something . . . to my digestion so will have to wait for a day when i'm home alone for them.

    i have exciting news . . . . . . .

    I'M GETTING A DOGGY!!!!!!!!!!

His name is Alfie, he's a 2 year old westie with a fetish for mcdonalds chips. I'm adopting him from a friend at work - they have a young child and limited time and don't feel like they are taking care of him properly. so i will!

we walked him last night and he has my jumper to sleep on. I'm going up walking him every day until tuesday when i bring him home with me!

    can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KPC you must be soooo excited!!!! Please show us some pics when you get him - i bet he's really cute!!!

Another good day so far, cereal for breakfast and homemade soup and a roll for lunch. Now if I can just get through this afternoon without being ambushed by a chocolate biscuit..

Mirry I don't think you're supposed to lose weight as rapidly during Phase 2 and anyway a slow and steady loss is easier to maintain and avoid putting back on.

i dont believe this , I have just read in

    the harcombe diet book .......

having stayed off your trigger foods for a few days, you could have a number of reactions after suddenly eating a food to which you are intollerant. A few people experiance quite violent and unpleasant symptoms

then it goes onto explain what happened to me last night !

    wow

lol , I think its the cocoa or sugar causing a insulin rush :o.

well I have discovered some interesting things today after playing in the kitchen I came up with this ......

1: If I peel , chop & stew apple in my microwave then mash it up,
add dry porridge and some skimmed milk and stir.
( until it looks firm-ish almost like dough)
Then place biscuit size amounts on a baking tray and bake for 15 mins.
They come out as oat biscuits , taste sweet and are a complete natural carb :D .

2: If you buy st dalfour jam , it has no sugar in it and is all natural so is allowed on the Harcombe diet. You can add it to porridge or wholemeal bread, mmmmmm. I found this out visiting the Harcombe diet on facebook.

    :D

... or something in the chocolate (which at 70% cocoa solids is going some). Might be a good idea to stay clear for now; I dont have a problem eating 70% choc but then I didn't get any adverse symptoms from Phase 1 either, which may also explain why I'm not losing weight as fast as Mirry :o

Mirry - you sound like you're having fun!!:D
