Who is being so incredibly good on her diet this week that she should receive a medal!
kpc - doggy!!! aaaahhhhhh. Theoretically I'd love a dog, but as I have never had a pet (yes, I know, deprived childhood) I don't actually know if I would really like it or not.
mirry - sounds like you are having fun with this eating plan, and certainly sound like it might be the right one for you if you are reacticing so strongly to certain ingredients as you re introduce.
eric - thanks for the laugh at your description of you scales preiously. i like the sound of your new ones. I think I could probably do with knowing the grim truth in terms of internal fat etc.Might be motivational.
Difficult afternoon today spent at a hospice - don't feel sorry for me, it's the elderly mother we took to see her only child that is in a very sad place.
Victory - hope your joints are calming down again.
Vixstar - that is so me - used to drive my OH mad that I cover the bed with everything and then was too knackered to finish the job ,lol, so it all had to go onthe floor. Don't do that know we have a separate bedroom rather than bedsit as of last summer. However, the great declutter continues...
Suppose I ought to write something on topic... er...nope, can't think of anything:D. Well, I suppose tomorrow is day 1...I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Bb~Was just thinking of you today & was going to ask you how the decluttering is coming on?
Did the decluttering person come?
Was it helpful?
Sotty so many questions,

hey beanie - sorry, I thought I had said about the declutterer but I think i probably just did in my head:D.
Yes it was a brilliant experience thanks - hard work, but she did all the lifting and shifting. We got rid of quite a bit, but actually not as much as I expected - what had the biggest impact was her storing everything up there in a 'like with like' way - so all my diy tools are now together on the same shelves and about 8 differnt other categories (craft stuff, outdoor stuff & luggage etc).
The attic nowfloor is completely empty and everything is on shelves(that were already up there). I can now pop up and lay my hand on anything I want so it has been easy to keep tidy and to put more away that was downstairs but not used regularly.
What I still need to do is further declutter some of the shelves- like I have a huge box of A4 files from courses I have done in the past. I could probably get rid of many of those now. If we had more time we would have got down to that sort of detail. But I wanted to spend our time and energy on the bigger picture. I also wanted a 3rd of the attic to be completely cleared for my OH's stuff and I got that as well. She was with me for 4.5 hrs.
What I am concentrating on now is homing my OH's stuff both downstairs and up in the attic and further weeding my own stuff in our living area. It has really motivated me to be more ruthless. I'd love to have her back, but she has left me confident that I can finish this and financially I need to at least try that. Ask anyhting you like.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Vixstar - Your dinner sounded lovely

Once I've put away the las few bits on my bed I'll be going into it too Beanie.
Very pleased with my decluttering efforts, the room looks tidy, the wardrobes are organised and my bedside table and two of my drawers just got another 5 drawers to go but they won't be too bad (and a paperwork pile). And I may even attempt the bathroom and the ironing tomorrow although I may find something better to do - exercise, watching paint dry?
And on a final decluttering note any suggestions on what to do/use to clean a laptop screen and keyboard?
And to keep on topic been good with food today;went out for a meal yesterday and manged not to go too mad with the wine and my food choices weren't 100% bad and I didn't feel stuffed after either which is a good sign. Going to a friend's for Sunday dinner tomorrow and think I'll probably drive there as I'm trying to keep drinking to once a week.0 -
Vixstar~ I work as an I.T technician, and honestly - I think a little multipurpose cleaner on some kitchen roll would do the job fine without causing any damage.
Don't be conned into thinking you have to buy anything special, that's all I use at work.0 -
Ollie was hoping the answer would be something like that.0

0.5kg gain this month - not good as that's my third monthly gain in a row! I'm averaging around 1800 cals/day intake and doing approx 10 hours exercise per week. I should NOT be gaining weight (fat) on this sort of a plan, in fact I should be losing a little bit!
Same old story for me really though. I'm going to try 1900 cals/day for the next month. Exercise is due to start increasing with the spring/summer.
Still feeling good though and all my fitness stuff is going well so it's not all bad news!
Good luck everyone this week!0 -
Hello all,
I am starting to lose weight again (i tried last year but nevre really gave it my all unforntunately) and would love to start again.
I actually started last monday (1st March) and i am currently finishing my first week. I currently weight 16st and 3lb and i would ideally like to get down to about 11 stone.
I am obese - there i said/typed it! this feels like some aa confession and i kind of feel like it is as i have been in denial for years as the weight amy dress size has increased!
I want to lose weight for many reason and will turn 30 this year and want to look back at picture of my birthday thinking "i don't look too bad!"
Just fed up of pretending that i don't mind - when i really do.
Am looking forward to joining you on thsi journey.
Hugs
