I'm back on track again I had a tuna salad for dinner, and made a big pot of soup for lunch tomorrow. (my stomach doesn't have a clue what season it is!!)0

victory those burgers sound gorgeous! however black beans do . . . something . . . to my digestion so will have to wait for a day when i'm home alone for them.
i have exciting news . . . . . . .
I'M GETTING A DOGGY!!!!!!!!!!
His name is Alfie, he's a 2 year old westie with a fetish for mcdonalds chips. I'm adopting him from a friend at work - they have a young child and limited time and don't feel like they are taking care of him properly. so i will!
we walked him last night and he has my jumper to sleep on. I'm going up walking him every day until tuesday when i bring him home with me!
can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

Hi everyone , Hezza bless you I think your mother in law puts my problems into perspective to be honest, how is she doing ?
I am doing ok on phase 2 , BUT today decided to have some 70% cocoa dark chocolate as a treat for being so good for 9 days. An hour after eating it I felt shakey and so so sick and ill, and still do. I dont understand it ? Do you think its the sugar hit thats made me like this ? I honestly feel like I never ever want to eat sugar ever again.
QT , I dont have any tips except when I was doing the phase 1 on the harcombe diet , I decided not to eat the 50g of brown rice each day that I was allowed, I just didnt fancy it. So think this helped the weight loss.
Yes I'm guessing that you've had a sugar hit; I did the same when I mistakenly ate some vanilla-flavoured low fat yoghurt shortly after finishing Phase 1 and woke up with a massive headache the next day. You've obviously done a good job in purging your system and your reaction could be to an ingedient in the chocolate that causes one of the 3 intolerancs (the book has more info about this). So go careful from here, 70% chocolate is fine on Harcombe (probably Phase 3) but maybe you should re-introduce it more slowly?
MIL is back home from hospital and is soldiering on, thanks for asking£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
£2 Savers Club 2015 #8 £250£200 :j

Pleased to hear that about your MIL , what a fighter she is
.
woke today feeling lots better and think I must be intolerant to something in the chocolate , I honestly felt like I was going to be sick and was shocked how bad it made me. My hubby said that what happened is a good thing cos I wont want chocolate ever again :rotfl:.
I have my double cream in the fridge ready to make the harcombe ice cream , I will let you know how it turns out. I wonder if vanilla essence is ok ? I have some strawberry to throw in it so all good stuff :A.
retiredlady , congrats on getting a doggy , you will have some lovely times together.Kindness costs nothing0 -

Well I very may well have to try the harcombe diet...I guess it can't harm me..where do you get the book from? Although if I am right you can't eat cheese, fruits or drink milk....all things that I am in love with. :heart2:
I am gonna try and be good this weekend...by now I should have lost a stone...but I have only managed a weasley 2lb...
Also can anyone give me some advice...I am going to singing practice today and we normally all bring some snacks for the sessions...what is a good healthy snack that I can bring to everyone, that they won't laugh at..I was gonna bring some grapes and bananas...but I don't think they would want that seeing as I usually bring doughnuts, cake or fried chicken!0 -
QT , on phase 1 you cant eat cheese ( but its only 5 days),
On phase 2 you can eat cheese with a fat meal and as much as you like:D. And you can eat fruit with a carb meal.
Also can eat berrys on either meal .Kindness costs nothing0 -

Snacks are always a problem, this is an area where the pushers can really inflict large quantities of fat, refined sugar and salt.
Crisps are not so bad as walkers baked have no MSGs and are low fat, salt and sugar, each bag is equivalent to 1 slice of bread approx.
Even most of the healthy option bars and biscuits are not significantly different to there normal counterparts
One of the things I would suggest is that if you are serious about loosing weight, you need to let everyone else know so that they can support you.0 -
Depends how much you want to spend but what about a fruit salad - either homemade or shop bought?0

Thanks for all the replies
Mirry- you are right it is only 5 days, plus I need to fit into my dress for next week friday as I have a party to go to...where did you get your book from? Can I have milk then?
Eric- Could get crisps...but then I would probably would eat them all...maybe the baked ones, also I have not seen them in awhile so they don't know I am dieting, although I did discuss this before
Vixstar- Normally spend £5-£8, I could bring them a fruit salad
I guess I want something a little bad but not too bad that it will make me put on a pound...0
