Hi gang,
Mirry, I think I may try those oaty biscuits next week. Good idea.
Have been busy in the shed again today, although less heavy lifting thank goodness. I can now see light at the end of the tunnel, or in this case, the wood floor, light from the windows, and individual pieces of furniture.
Off out for lunch with all 3 of my sisters tomorrow, for my eldest's birthday. Will choose wisely from the menu, but i've made a carrot cake, so will have to have a piece, but it's got no butter in it, only veg. oil (shhh, don't tell Eric, coz he'll tell me it has petro chems in it)!
TTFN, and have good weekends everyone! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

I actually got one of those fancy scales i linked a few posts back, I had a very old pair of scales (10yrs+) that worked out actually body fat but these new ones are bloody amazing, chucked SWMBO on it since im out of rangeand wow, tells you how much muscle you have and splits fat into less harmful "surface fat" and the killer visceral fat (around the organs)
Her % visceral fat worked back to a score of 11 (ideal is 1 -10) so not bad but her amount of muscle was actually far less than avg which is not good, so something for her to work on.
ekk second word should have been cant ....0 -
I have had a busy day in the kitchen and have been trying to think up things I can prepare in advance to make my week easier.
I made a up massive bowls of ....
red cabbage coleslaw....
half a red cabbage shredded
4 table spoons of olive oil
grated orange rind
some cinnamon
1 large apple diced
2 x mandarins, segments
ALL STIRED TOGETHER. (should do 5 meals).
carrot & swede mash....
2 large carrots
1 medium swede
boiled until very soft and mash together
then add salt & pepper & some nutmeg. (should do 4 meals).
Does any one know a sugar free gravy ?Kindness costs nothing0 -
I know you can make one from meat juices but don't know exactly how.
Bit shocked that instant gravies contain sugar.0 -
Why is it when tidying up/decluttering the room always looks ten times worse when half done and why does the maximum mess always coincide with the disappearance of my enthusiasm. Going to have to keep going though as my bed is buried under all the bits with no home!0

LOL - I always finds the maximum mess time coincides with the knock on the door and unexpected company arriving!:rotfl::rotfl:
Marion:)
Who is being so incredibly good on her diet this week that she should receive a medal! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Marion Oh please don't suggest a thing like that happening. I've been driven to tidying as I was already embarassed about the state of my room. I just won't answer the door!0
