victroy - i think im going to be joining you on the gain front this week. i am expecting it as there has been so much drinking and fast food lately.
infact weight loss in feb has been pretty damn awful! this is not good. im six months into my weight loss and i feel im loosing my path. im in dangerous terittory and i thinm i would be very easy for my just to walk away from the healthy eating change, but i really really want to make this a permament change and unfortunatly i have a very big mountain to climb before i can ease off a bit to maintain. but i still feel i NEED to loose AT LEAST another 2st.
so, weigh in tomorrow morning and march is a new month! lest refresh and restart with a new mind set, spring and summer is coming, im going shake away to cobwebs of winter and change my mindset!
i know i (and we) say this very frequently, but i really need to get this weight loss back into the flow of thing. after loosing 2st 4lb it would be very easy just to leave it here, but i dont want to do that, i NEED to keep going!!

right, rant and self mantra over with...
tomorrow i will weigh in and continue to write my food diary on here!!

    xxxx

I sympathise, rosieposie. I am stuck at around the same weight, been there for several weeks now. However, giving up is not an option. I really am in the 'last chance saloon' now. It's important to remember that, if we give up, we don't maintain all that hard-won weight loss, we just put it all back on again! And again, and again...

However, today I'm weighing 75.4 kg. Last week I had gained, up to 76.2 kg, so it's good that I'm back on the downward path.

And I am struggling to learn to swim, in spite of fear of the water, because swimming is probably going to be the only form of exercise, apart from chair-based aerobics, that I can do.

Well after i weighed in this morning, i dragged myself to the doctors, as I have yet another urinary tract infection, woopedoo. So antibiotics for that. Pills for headaches, and pills to help me stop smoking. :j:j:j

If these pills work as they have before, I shall be posting more losses in the near future. I'm the only person I've ever known to lose weight when attempting to stop smoking. Lost about half a stone when I tried to stop last year. Don't think it has anything to do with the pills to be honest, think it just makes you more aware of what you're stuffing your face with if that makes sense.

So wish me luck in my new journey, and hope it doesn't interfere too much with the one i'm already on :j

I am crippled with arthritis today, can barely walk and can't open anything with my hands, such a waste of time, on the 22nd March hoping to have a cortison injection in the heel of my foot to get rid of the pain, only thing is only allowed 3 in a lifetime already had one on my elbow and that is fully functional and pain free now so well worth it:D

  • Good morning all!

Some great results coming in, well done! Wow Mirry, that is an incredible result!! I think I might have to take a look at the Harcombe diet now…

I am very pleased to say I have lost 4lb this week. I’m sooo grateful that 3lb gain last week didn’t stick!!

Victory sorry to hear about your arthritis.
I had to go the chemist this morning and thought of you. I hope work isn’t too bad this week.

Rosieposie, I know how you feel. I’ll join you with restarting and changing the mindset! Positive thoughts...:pHezza I completely agree, sunshine does make a massive difference doesn’t it! I’ve been feeling more upbeat and motivated this week as the weather has been better (although it’s rather grey a gloomy today, I have to say). Awesome news about the extension and v. cute about the white van man!

Blimey Mazza poor you, I really hope you start to feel better soon. And very best of luck with the new journey!

Dinah and PepPop, I am going to subscribe to your blogs ;)

Have a lovely day everyone :)

woooo hezza! Have fun! I loved planning my extension and could live with the mess and the fuss becuase there's a goal in sight.

    yay to see marion too

i got a sts this week - but feel better for having my walk every day now so thats a result in itself for me.

and wow mirry, well done for sticking with harcombe and getting your result!

some interesting thoughts on food - as someone who works in the food manufacturer I can tell you categorically that there is no big conspiracy to get you hooked on bad foods. For own label foods we do what the retailer tells us, for our brands we look for a balance between price and quality. One thing that could be interesting though . . . as the salt limits get tighter and tighter, and we avoid the use of artificial ingredients and flavours . . . . sugar can sometimes improve the taste of foods where we are not allowed to add more salt.

Had an induction on a Powerplate at the gym tonight - !!!!!! invented that piece of torture equipment????? I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out (closely followed by my teeth) and after just a few mins of doing just 4 x 45-second exercises twice over my legs were wobbling like crazy, I could barely get down the stairs. It felt like I'd been on a treadmill or cross-trainer for about an hour! And I had a headache. Whew! I suppose it must be effective - the trainer told me that it works your muscles at about four times the intensity of normal gym equipment but I'm not sure that "walking" like a new-born baby when you get off it again is the right effect!!! :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl: Brilliant. I can just picture it! and enjoy your day Hezza it sounds like you're having a great one!!

Mazza you're gonna end up ratteling with all those pills. Hugs

Heatherberry - thank you :janother [STRIKE]stalker[/STRIKE] follower :j
I'm having a stupid day - who was it that was looking for the andrex puppy token thing. If you let me know I'll PM you the code tonight.

Can I report a STS for me this week Fred. It's not really surprising OH talked me into getting a chippie for dinner last night. I really need to stop him sabotaging me cos we were supposed to have a salad with tuna  (and I fell off a weight bench in the gym last week and twisted my ankle (another stupid day) so no exercise either )

    Hola

We've both lost again this week, although only a little - 0.75lbs for me and 0.5lbs for Superman - the weekend drinking obviously didn't help, but we haven't had any alcohol yet this week (and no, my hands aren't shaking!;)).

We were competing against each other to lose the most weight last month, and I won, by half a pound! :rotfl:This month is going to be better (stamps foot firmly.)

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

    Lois and Superman :)
