and still am learning, and maybe us as consumers should get together somehow and do something about it?

If enough people change there shopping habits the companies will follow, look how much organic food there is about now.

I was commenting earlier if you look at Marks and Waitrose healthy range of ready meals there a huge improvement in terms of the crap that's in them (very little) compared to some of the stuff about a few years ago.

Problem is crap food is cheap to make and makes big money and many many people are on very tight budgets :(

If you look in the supermarkets at what food is on offer for a pound or on BOGOF especially in the fridges and freezers it's generally the convenience type and unhealthier ends of the market. Even the fruit and veg BOGOFS are often on more expensive, less popular stuff - athough I did buy 3lb (1.5kg) of organic carrots on BOGOF for less than a pound last week.

VIX - Im hoping I will get onto a pgce at some point so that my degree has been worth it, because right now I feel, like you, that it hasnt been and I too would have been happier just going into work after GCSE's or A levels, although I have to say the best time of my life was college because of my brilliant class so I wouldnt trade that experience for the world. That said the 3 of us that have gone on from that to uni have all said college was so much better, unless you are mega involved in societies and getting drunk all the time I dont think "student life" is the big deal its cracked up to be. For me its just been debt, stress and a !!!!!! load of work.

GRANNY AND BB - slightly better news, have found out today i can apply to another 2 pgce courses to start this september. Downside is there are only 3 I could get to that arent full, and one of them is a nightmare expensive tube journey at that. Also Im thinking if they still have places this late they must be ultra hard to get into, 1 of the 1's i spoke to today has said they have had over a thousand applicants (less than my last options 2000 tho!) and most have failed the entrance tests...how hard must their tests be?! Plus they only have 7 places left, but great location so hey worth a shot.

Food today has been toast and a slice of pizza, not healthy, and neither will my dinner of supermarket "take away" curry to accompany the box office film im going to purchase! What was that? I have a deadline on friday and weigh in tomorrow so should be working and eating salad to make up for previous damage?! My answer...its nearly TOTM (sorry eric!) and new pills are making me feel awful, plus have had an upsetting stressful day so ner ner ner ner ner (think childlike sticking out tongue!) im gonna stick my head in the sand and jump into the trough labelled *fatty* for a night of ignorant bliss an deal with the weigh in results and heavier workload tomorrow. Quite frankly my head isnt coping with work today anyway so kinda a lost cause.

4lb gain this week the scales say that so I have to accept it, as for why have not the foggiest, sure I had a few biscuits but come on since when does a few plain digestives give you a 4lb weight gain?:D All the rest has been business as usual so no idea what happened there and no TOTM was last week so no clues, answers on a postcard:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Had an induction on a Powerplate at the gym tonight - !!!!!! invented that piece of torture equipment????? I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out (closely followed by my teeth) and after just a few mins of doing just 4 x 45-second exercises twice over my legs were wobbling like crazy, I could barely get down the stairs. It felt like I'd been on a treadmill or cross-trainer for about an hour! And I had a headache. Whew! I suppose it must be effective - the trainer told me that it works your muscles at about four times the intensity of normal gym equipment but I'm not sure that "walking" like a new-born baby when you get off it again is the right effect!!! :rotfl:

Well i skipped the aqua aerobics tonight. Had to come home from work today due to this headache. It's turned into a neuralgia attack, first one I've had in over 3 yrs. So gonna have a couple of days or R&R to recover. Head to docs tomorrow for the pills to stop it in it's tracks.

Not been too bad on the food front, not been too great either tho, haven't felt much like eating or preparing food so have gone for the easy options in the kitchen. Not too great if I'm truly honest with myself. Strangely enough, I feel like eating when it's ready

Feel fat n horrible atm so am tempted not to jump on the scales in the morning :rotfl:

Do I remember somebody on here working in lingerie?? As I am needed some advice re bra fittings...... struggling at moment with getting a good fitting sports bra. Help please

Victoria at your service! And have you picked the right day to ask me, the spring has made me super helpful. Every one was thanking me for the help today and i never can normaly be arsed to help anyone ha. Every bra fit i did turned to gold, even if i do say so myself.

I'd personally say come to me, but as you cant i would say tell me your clothes size, what your bra size is now, what exercise youre gunna be doing and i'll try and suggest stuff.

    Im in a fantastic mood!

I had a bra fit today on a lady with an 8 week old baby, the baby was crying for food and woosh out came the milk! It was quiet interesting actually, and i didnt even mind mopping up the milk off the floor. I can now DEFINATLY say i wont be breast feeding, !!!!!! that coming out of my nipple.

One born every minute is on now on channel 4, its a good prog. Puts me off babies because i dont even want one yet.

dinah: Beautiful wedding invites! Love the design of the dress youre making too. I want my mum to make me some because i have big hips and a small bust so alot of high street things don't fit me. Trouble is i can never find a material i like.
