I never realised until today after having been there for 5 months that the lady I work with should have come in at 2.30 I come in at 2 and spend 30 mins alone and then her shift starts at 2.30 all this time she has come in early for me because she felt that it was wrong to leave me on my own and felt that even though she was never going to be paid for it she wanted to be alongside me so that she had peace of mind and I would not worry, so humbled by such a beautiful person such a lovely thing to do for me, all free, I am buying her some chocs a thank you card and some flowers for sat when I next see her she is just a perfect human being:D

  • victory - you are too nice. Again - I hope they appreciate you!! People like you are a rare find these days, I hope they know what they have!!

BTW - some good news for me, my MIL is going thru chemo at the mo' and her doc told her today that the tumour is reducing - she was hoping for a break from it for a while but they want to continue cos its working. She's glad because she's making progress but tinged with some neg cos the chemo is so awful. We are hoping to go and see her on Saturday so will be raiding M&S foodhall big time to take her lots of tasty treats to tempt her appetite - may even join her cos its a celebration (of sorts)!

  • that is good news hezza:T though not so good she is suffering so with the chemo.

Eric - so April/May we need to keep an extra eye out for you if this is your danger time.I do think having dealt with most your debts you are in a better place to focus on this as a priority. I hope this coming year is generally a calmer one for you so you can keep the bipolar on more of an even keel. You've had a lot to deal with - bu deal with it you have, and continue to do so:T.

I'm still focussing on better portion control, less sugary snack and lower carbs (but not remotely cutting out).

Thanks a lot for the chart fred:beer:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • lol, vix, don';t buy stuff from vistaprint they'll haunt your inbox forerver more!

victory, how old is your eldest? I ask because i know exactly what my mum would have said if either me or my brother had made the request that he had. In our house it was eat what everyone else is or eating or don't eat at all. IF he wants to eat 7 small meals a day, can't he eat smaller portions of the same breakfast, lunch and tea, and then sort himself out ( prep and pay) for the others?

Rubbish few days here. Since being to the water aerobics I think i've more than made up for the calories that i burnt lol.

Been stuck inside at work this week too, only doing 1 hour of walking as I'm covering paternity leave. Grmph. And the vending machines are just too easy!

Think my nerves are playing a part too. Ended up going out and buying a nice outfit, although very MS. Black Jeans £12, Black low cut top, £6. Purple hair extensions, 2x £1.50. I say extensions in the loosest sense of the word, they are shorter than my own hair, and as my hair is so thick, you only see a little hint of colour when they are in, and have covered all the greys in preparation :rotfl: My DD is coming round after work on Saturday to do my hair, make up and nails, so should be all in all a pamper day :D

He's not so bad, at least he's willing to make an effort even if he knows absolutely nothing about how the human body works. The mum is the issue, but she genuinely seems to be a bit lacking in the intellect department, throws tantrums or bursts into tears immediately when she doesn't get her own way, makes excuses, its like dealing with a child.

I'd like to point out until a month ago the only tv programme I ever regularly saw was Greys Anatomy, now I can give a blow by blow account of a wide variety of day time telly!

    Morning all,

Well done on the losses/STSs. I forgot to weigh, and have been pretty much out and about since Tuesday. A day trip to the west Midlands yesterday - woohoo!

Today I am at the funeral of my dear friend's father, who I also knew. A lovely man, and it is going to be a very difficult day. His widow has been presenting signs of dementia during the past few months too, so has been further confused by his passing. Having been widowed myself, I understand now how utterly useless my friends must have felt at the time. I'm helping in a practical way, and have prepared some cakes for the wake, and am bringing along some fresh bread rolls to prepare back at the house.

I have to admit the healthy eating has been lacking, yet again, but I think I'm doing my usual thing of needing to get totally hacked off with myself, in order to do something properly about it. Like Eric has said above, I am in need of reducing my portion sizes, so that I grow more accustomed to eating less. I'm simply not burning off enough energy right now.

Hezza - a good friend of mine had to undergo chemo for her breast cancer, and despite feeling rather !!!! because of it, one of the most annoying side effects for her were mouth ulcers and a horrible taste in her mouth. She got through bags of strongly flavoured good quality crisps, like the Walkers Sensations. Although not an ideal, or healthy food, when you're under the weather due to treatment, I guess you almost feel like living dangerously when wiped out on the sofa, and dipping into snack foods! I wondered if your mum was experiencing something similar?

Right, I'd better go find a suitable outfit to wear, and hope I fit into it too!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

sary helping in a practical way is extremely useful sometimes that is all that is best to do:)

There is a lot of funerals, cancers, illnesses, lets be strong for them and good to ourselves, eating more for comfort or just because there is no time to take care of ourselves properly will only make us feel worse not better, be kind to ourselves;)

There is alot of that about youre right victory.

Last night i had an amazing night with matt, we went to a restaurant, got tipsy on the wine and the free shot and then ended up going for a ride in a trolley on the way home! It was the best night out ive had in a long time.

Our car is in the garage for its MOT, the window was replaced yesterday for £75 and now the breaks are 80% worn so my car needs new brakes. Really rubbish timing that car has! Were off to view a house tonight aswell so hopefully it will be ready.

Hezza: Thats fab news, cant imagine how hard it must be for everyone to go through, but great that its shrinking.
