Thanks a bunch fredsnail for the chart...victory is so weird as also gained 2lb from tuesday morning to wednesday evening.

Congrats Eric for SOTW...well done, and to all the other losers and STS keep it up, to the gainers...(which I think I am one of) chin up and lets work extra hard this work and be disciplined to make sure we are not in the same position next week!

Btw I am taking part in the local community group loss programme, where we can go to get weighed every week and we discuss how to have a healthy life style. So far I learned about eating regular meals- which I mentioned last week, and now we saw portion sizes....I have a alloted amount for the day of carb/protein/dairy etc portions for each day...I was so shocked when I saw what a portion was, basically lets just say I was eating 4 times that.

So I am going to try to implement both portions and regular meals as well as do some kind of exercise...which this week will be walking for at least 40 mins a day. Lets see if I can get rid of this gain and actually lose some weight.

The biggest looser gets repeated at 10am, 1pm and 9pm, I also try to eat lunch at 1pm and then watch them suffer so with their work outs:rotfl:

dinah maybe next time instead of having the temptation in the house and thinking of it etc give it away as a gift, I was given a box of chocs as a thank you for helping someone out the other day and gave it away to the next door neighbour as a thank you for taking my son to school, she was well chuffed and loves them and I was pleased they had gone and would not think of them or gain any weight by eating them job done everyone happy:D

My eldest is driving me insane, he has a weight lifting book, bought some weights and does it evenings, according to the book to bulk up he needs to eat 7 small meals a day comprising heavily of carbs/protein/energy drinks/snacks/ high impact sugars and all those pills they sell at holland and barrett to bulk up the muscle, so porridge then on the list goes and to eat that way it is so time consuming, what to get him, when, the portions, like I have not got enough to do:rotfl::rotfl:

    fluffychez Hello

Fred - Thanks for the chart

5 weeks in and its fine, the first 2 weeks are the hardest during which time i detox myself from crap food (fats, man made sugars, caffeine and choccy), I normally find on day 4 I get monster head aches from caffeine withdraw, after about a week and a half thou I have zero cravings for anything especially after eating which makes life 100 times easier.

Week 2-6 are about shrinking the stomach and portion control as i gradually get down to normal quantity of food.

Week 6+ Ill start to bring in an exercise regime.

And then things plod along. The problem is something goes wrong normally month 3-4 when my motivation is starting to weaken. Last time i dropped 70lbs then i tore a calf muscle really badly and then had a major family disaster whilst still trying to deal with monster debts, the BiPolar kicked in and just went to pieces again.

This time I waited until I had finished sorting the money problems out and I'm 10 times more focussed and driven than I was last time. I think this time I actually see myself for what I am, rather than this delusional mental picture of how I think I should look (a strange self delusion which I am not sure why we do it).

I dare say as time goes on I will be needing a Shoulder or two from you guys to prop me up on :j

and praise (insert your preferred deity) for the tefal actify and healthy chips :T

I've always loved 'The Biggest Loser', but now I'm living a couchy lifestyle the 1pm show is my barometer of the day! Plus it encourages me to eat a healthy lunch. I love how they all have such a can-do attitude. It kills me watching them do all these crazy workouts though - I never thought I'd miss exercise so much. I meant to ask my doctor yesterday if trying swimming would be a good or stupid idea, but I forgot.

Aye and its a permenant lifelong change, the only thing that stops these people dieting normally is willpower - if it CAN come off by eating less with the bypass then it never was some metabolic or thyroid problem, and they could have done it on their own. Be the strong one, don't endanger yourself unnessisarily - and don't forget they don't always work - I refer here back to Ron on the Biggest loser season 7 US, who had a stomach bypass yet still managed to get to 430lbs (over 30 stone) so it certainly isn't a guaranteed solution. .

    Many thanks for that :T

KPC - I read that article you posted on the ex model. It sounded a bit like she was trying to convince herself that she was happy with her body through the article? Might just be how it came across im not sure. Although being a size 12 now has made me realise that 12 is actually quite thin, and i dont feel like im lying if i say i am thin if you see what i mean.

Im off to look for my dream career, lets see what i find!! If not i think i'll go to vista print and nock up some business cards to drop off in a few phone boxes. Victoria wright- hands massage. Its made for me that job!
