Hey dmv, doesn't sound good waking up on the kitchen floor:eek:. Glad you feeling better today.
QT - the group meeting thingy sounds a good way to keep focussed (on top of being here of course:D)
Hope you feel ok after your hypo victory. Good to hear about such a thoughtful member of staff and lovely idea to thank her like that.
Sounds like you are all but there missy:T.
I'm still feeling more focussed without actually strictly monitering 100%. No bread since last monday now and much smaller portions of pasta and rice and dinner in general.
Just sold a piece of furntiure on ebay for £75:j:j.
Can't wait for it to go now, out the way (it is quite big) so I can move to the next level of de-cluttering and finally crack this so we can stop living surrounded by boxes and too much 'stuff'.
This time I'm getting hard core:D. I'm raising the money through ebay sales to pay a professional declutter to come in two weeks to do my attic for me. Can't wait. So excited.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
A proffessional declutterer sounds just ace
It never fails to amaze me how alike we are in some ways.

And if I had the money I ought to have one too - but I think I'd spend all the time arguing and trying to put things back.0

Fluffy The table is posted on a Wednesday night, if you post you loss before then - BIG BOLD AND BRIGHT - it'll get included.
Having a veggie food weeked. Went a bit mad with the bread yesterday, but am fairly sure I managed my 5 a day. Am planning on having a productive day today, am trying to finish off niggling jobs, do the housework and hopefully chill out as well (and go for a run). Fingers crossed.0 -
Mazza Going to bed at 10.40AM - it must've gone great.0

well we pratically are twins aren't we, though you of course were born the day before so yous older then me:p.
The declutterer is not nearly as expensive as I imagined, which is why I decided to go for it. I've got nearly half the money for a 5 hour session just by selling a wardrobe on ebay and have 4 other things up for sale at the mo too.
Granny - the declutterer I am using has a great website and emphasises you are in control of what gets chucked - they go at your pace. They start with what feels easy to get rid of, and just doing that can free up a load of space and inspre you to go a bit further. And it isn't just about getting rid of stuff, it's about leaving you with a better system to store/organise and keep things (using what you have, not buying any fancy stuff ).
Mazza - delightedyou had a great night out. Detail expected in due course:D
Very pleased with direction scales are going in this morning. I just have to keep up the focus and not get complacent which is what I have been doing after a couple of days for the last x months. But like you were saying dmv, somehow, I seemed to have switched that little switch in my head and I feel determined.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hello All,
Victory, I hope you feel better after your hypo. I know they can really wipe you out, so it must be more of a struggle having to go into work too.
Missy - a fair result for you, and you seem to be able to tweak these things nicely for yourself now. Well done.
BB - a professional declutterer would probably have a field day in my shed (ergo contents of my old loft and house). My OH would also say he'd do the decluttering for me, rather than employ someone. He'd then back his van up to the shed and empty said contents into it, then drive straight to the dump!
Mazza - aye aye, going to bed just before 11am, the morning after the night before??!!! *winks* It must have been a good date! If you think you're going to get away with that little snippet of info you're very wrong, I insist on a detailed account, now you've hooked me with that last post!
Eric - I'm going to have a good look at Actifry's now. I do like a kitchen gadget, however, I also have a very small kitchen, and very little storage space. The storage is something I'm hoping to tackle this year, with some strategically placed shelving for all my cook books, storage jars, etc. I'm a keen cook, so have lots of pans, etc.
Well, I am terribly excited. I bought a greenhouse off ebay on Friday night. Actually, I bought 2, there was a buy one, get one free!! It's 2nd hand, and I've got to drive over to Coventry to dismantle both of them and bring them home, but I've wanted one for about 3 years now. I'm hoping that buying 2 means I can sell 1 on, and end up making a bit of money back to make the one I keep be a bargain.
OH has gone off to an auto-jumble today, and is on the lookout for a paraffin heater for me now, and I'm already eyeing up some old workshop benches for staging.
I spent yesterday afternoon helping OH polish up a bike he's got, that he wants to sell, so I was in charge of chrome restoration, and it came up a treat. It was lovely to work on a project together, and although he's been out of work for a few months now, we're really making the most of having the time together.
This morning I've been baking the pack-up bits for the week ahead. Carrot & orange muffins, as well as a coffee & walnut cake. Being surrounded by it all morning really does put you off wanting to eat it.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
