No Beanie you won't be dumped. We might be going through a slightly de-motivated period but at least we're still here, still weighing, and at some point we WILL get back on course. It might just take a while .... but I'm pink now. Are you pink too Beanie?
Missy wil provide pep talks (please) and Darth Vadar masks, and that'll help too! Missy, as always awe and respect to you for your achievements. How do you stay so focused all the time?0 -
Evening all,
I ate pasta today for dinner with tomato sauce/chicken (at 5.30pm) and I am still full, didn't realise it is so filling, think I will eat it for lunch in the future and my hungry time is normally late afternoon.....is the brown pasta preferable (I forget what they call it)?
I am going to do some steps and skipping when I find my skipping rope, so that I can do some exercise before I enrol back at the gym!
Good night all, thanks in advance for the chart in advance fred!!!0 -
Rosie yes boss off for 2 weeks it is bliss so relaxed, people go around laughing and joking, talking to each other it is great atmosphere, shame he has to return:rolleyes:
Come on people, gather round and listen to me, yes it is so much harder after the xmas fest(I for one wish I could eat like that, well not as much as that but like that and not worry about constant weight gain, not real life unfortunately, metabolism is a gainer!) so much harder in the winter months when the carbs call, stews, stodgyness etc but have hot lovely porridge for breakfast which is comforting and fills you up, hot boiling bubbling lovely home made soup full of lovely veg for lunch, filled with filling lentils, chick peas, butter beans and the like, no need to snack, the porridge keeps you full, dinner loads of meals on the WW and I am sure the RC or SW have books for easy to make cheap filling stews, casseroles, without the weight gain without the huge costs to put it together , you know you can do it , some of you did it this time last year , in this cold, in this month and lost, you can keep the motivation going even if you cannot get out and do all the exercise your body is used to, yes you miss it but run up and down the stairs many times to build up a sweat, work out to a dvd, go on the wii fit, get painting or decorating, build a storage cabinet, strip down the wallpaper, keep moving indoors it is for now the only way with the ice and snow but it will not always be that way.
It all has to come from within I know that, don't buy BOGOF if they are remotely calorific, I knew as a diabetic on the channel 4 show that there was only 8 cals between the light and the normal digestives and one has more sugar than the other, I knew when they take out the fat they add the sugar for taste and that for me makes it go back on the shelf and stay there, I know there are 20 teaspoons of sugar in sweet and sour so never touch it, I have to know because of the diabetes, I know there is a load of sugar in oxtail soup so never eat it:rolleyes::D
You said sary the other day about the man from the ITV this morning programme,
I so remember him in one interview saying that he found it incredibly hard but he helped himself by reading labels and put everything back that was 5% or more fat anything under he kept and found a love of yoghurts, fromage frais, cooking, oil sprays, putting things together from what seemed like nothing and making it tasty with the herbs and spices which are very little cals.
We know how to budget, how to cook, how to be good to ourselves, how to exercise, how to take care of ourselves, if you can't find the motivation watch biggest looser USA and end up crying like I did over their stories or the fat family or lorraine Kelly on bio channel, read diet books for other recipes if the ones you have now bore you to tears.
If your best friend asked you for help loosing weight you would take the time and care to guide her, advice, support, cook for her, you would stretch out your hand for however long it took for whatever she needed, so do it to yourself ,for yourself..... and if you still can't do it for any reason whatsoever do it for your health, your future undamaged not in threat health ,your longevity and most importantly for your children and your children's children.0 -
