haha, yes I love me, the inner me and the rest of me. But i'm still a fat bastid until I get the motivation to do something about it :p
    lol, me too mazza.

a sts for me please fred - like sary: too much bread this week, but I just think with the weather, and very tight on money it is a difficult to eat the best way for me.
I don't tend to buy prepacked food/meals so it isn't something I can cut back on so ver rarely buy bogoff's. Other than tins like baked beans/tomatoes or pkts of weetabix. Having said that, have bought a few tomato sauces in recent months but need to get back on making my own.

Granny - made a white sauce for fish pie last week and decided to try the yogurt and egg you descibed - do I still need to add flour?
And it must be so frustrating for you when the offical mtho of sending messages is double checked - I think those parent don't stop to think that they are one of quite a few hundred that could be ringing.

You are welcome missy - it is easy to forget that maintaining is still a challenge that deserved encouragement adn recognition.

Fi, Victory and mazza - very well done indeed:T:T Oh, and FFM - you too for last saturday: great to see you focussed and proved to yourself once more you can stop the creep:T:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Hey guys, this is the first time I've managed to get online in ages, what with the crazyness over xmas & new year today is the first day I've remembered to weigh in

I am now 173.5 lbs, so since my last WI I have gained 7.4 lbs :(

Can I please be zeroed on the chart, and I will start again from today. I think I will go back to weighing myself on a Monday, as I seem to cope with that easier!

  • well done Fi, victory, Mazza and al the other great losses!!!

im reporting a STS not a great kick start, but what can i say, its certainly all my faullt. my meals have been good (as per usual) i always find them easy to floow on slimming wolrd, it the bloomin' snacking in between and this week has been particulraly bad... i ve catching up with lots of people in the village before heading off to uni which has mean an excessive amount of tea and banana cake, double choc cookies, carmael shortcake, xmas cake.....the list goes on.....even has a MASSIVE mars bar yesterday :o NOT GOOD!!!

im going back up to manchester tomorrow and i have exams for the next two weeks (so no going out which means no drinking/late night pizza) and i dont buy sweet stuff at uni as i plan every meal weekly to keep the a budget, so hopefully the weight will come off a bit more easily in future

glad everyone is generally ok. Victory is your boss on hols yet? has a bit of rest from alll the telling off (not very professional!)?
granny - chin up! report say it going to be around 7degrees by the end of the week, so hopefully the snow will shove off!!
shift the bulge! - 54lb lost so far :j .....alot more to go......

Hi all, you look like a very friendly group :)

I have a lot of weight to lose, and am joining Slimming World next week, and thought this looked like extra motivation, so would like to join you all.
How do i do this, do i need to tell soemone my current weight( shudder!) or just how much i'd like to lose?
I lost 2.5 stones with Rosemary conley 3 years ago, and am now approaching 42, and have put it all back on, so feeling very fat and sluggish- plus i can't return there as i can't do the excrercise now after damaging my knee. I'm hoping losing weight will help the knee pain too!
Any ideas for excercise with arthritic type knees?!
I have a 3 year old i run around after, as well as 3 teenagers, so plenty of excercise there i suppose!

Can anyone tell me if they find Slimming World is good? I've never tried before?
    Thanks!!
    :o:o:o

I'll bore you with my story, I'm afraid.

I recently broke up with my girlfriend of almost 2 years who lived in Florida - now I feel I can start to debt bust and lose weight thanks to the fact that I no longer need to save money for flights and stuff.

So, I'm interested in losing weight too. I have joined a gym though, and I just need that push to keep me going and eating right. I figure this is the place to start! I should probably buy some electric scales though... 'Cause I'm useless at reading analogue
  • lo ollie and minx!

you don't need to tell any of us how much you weigh, or even how much you want to lose! If you ant to be on the chart, you simply post your loss each week in big bold letters and our chart bod ( currently the lovely fred) will update the chart and issue it weds night.

I just said no to a chicken pakora! yay me!!

    Hey guys. It's been a while :o
I managed to gain 1lb over Christmas until this morning anyway which would give me a total of 7.8lb.

Hopefully back on track now. Still unable to do anything outdoors which means been stuck to the boring (and expensive) gym

Hope everyone had a good festive period!

Hi Olliegami and Minxz :hello: good luck.

Well done everyone especially Fi :j:j:j

Granny my motivation has flown south for the winter maybe yours and mazzas has joined it. ;)

Like everyone else I am struggling. I'm so used to falling back on salads to keep me in line. I've tried substituting them for soup but I end up eating half a loaf with it :o OOPS. Back to the gym tonight though so onwards and downwards....
  • minx - I did sw a few years ago and highly rate it. I'm only struggling now becasue I can't focus enough. But stick to it and you get to eat loads and still lose weight. Give yourself a few weeks to get your head round the system and then it all clicks into place. Since I was last there they have introdused a few extra 'sytems, but I swear by red days /green days.
There is also a SW support thread on here somewhere (not that I want to chase you away, please stay, lol)

Hi Ollie -sounds like a lot of changes for you, well done for seeing this as a chance for positive change. I can recommend elec scales - more motivating whenyou can read your results properly, but make sure you ony weigh once a week and at the same time of day (1st thing in morning is best). There are also exercise threads on here somewhere that may help you focus on using the gym to the most effective way.
Welcome back BS - 1 lb gain over xmas is fab.

Peppop - I just think the weather is why we are struggling so much and we shouldn't beat ourselves up. Soup is the right thing to be eating in this weather, not salad.

Raph - great to hear from you. You know you now how to shift it, just difficult to get the exercise in this weather isn't it, dispite havinga dog to walk.
