I am making my absolute NY resolution to not buy any BOGOF that are not healthy ones, like the diet programme said it is all a con to entice you to buy more, the kids will have to go without:rotfl:less waist line more money for me, I am saving my little coins for a car for the eldest in September and if you were to add up all the pennies that are spent here on there on this crisps or that choc or this cake or that sausage roll hopefully by september it will all add up to a a bit to put towards the car:D

    Hello everyone,

Its been a long time, and I have missed being on here, I would like to rejoin the thread as I am determined to get losing weight again.

Here is my last post on here - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=10950589&postcount=973

So I have been missing for a while now, I graduated from uni in July 2008 and ever since then I kinda stopped dieting and went back to my old ways, I then started the gym in April 2009-August 2009 (not long, I kno) but I have managed to lose about 1 stone from when I first came on here a couple of years ago.

Now as things stand I am 83kg with a BMI of 29.1, and I really want to lose weight for good, I am determined to get to my target gradually, I aim to be 3 stones lighter by August which I think is achievable.

So I hope that I can join back now, encourage and be encouraged!!

I will weigh in next week Monday to see if I have lost any weight!

    QT xxx ;)

  • hi QT - I definitely remember you; I just can't believe you graduated in 08! Wow, does time fly. Well done of losing that stone. Do you think no longer living the student life style will help?

Mazza - very honed legs! Not tats to report on BB though:D I saw a beautiful one either side of a womans neck last year - very ornate fish in black only - really elegant and only visable if she wore her hair up.

I think January is a lousy time for new year and it's resulting feelings of new start etc. The NewYear used to be on March 25 until 1752. A much better time to start afresh with spring coming in don't you think - it is too difficult to avoid filling and warming food at the mo!
The legacy of this day still remains in our financial year ending on 5th April ( as we lost 11 days when the UK calender changed in 1752 to catch up with europe who ran on a different calender for historical/religious reasons) In other words, last day of the year was 24th March + 11 days removed fomr the calender, make that the 5th April when all bills had to be settled etc.

Well done missy - avery good result and show allowing yourself treat times works well.:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Don't know what's wrong with me today but I have been permanently hungry. Think I may have to go and do a food shop and buy some healthy filling snacking foods to try and fill me up - somehome I don't think the soup I planned to have will do the trick.

    Hi All

These are points values for last weeks Matt Dawson recipes

WW points value for the Skinny Korma with rice = 5.5
WW points value for the Tiramasu Cake = 2.5

I have made both using fat free yoghurts to keep the points as low as possible.

Thank you all for your lovely welcome.
victory I think you hit the nail on the head. I am so busy during the day that I don't really give food a thought and can quite happily manage on very little. I have done a healthy food shop today and will make sure I eat more during the day. I have bought some WW yoghurts and have thrown one in the freezer for when I put dd to bed - it takes ages to eat when frozen.
Missy thank you for your kind words - I am feeling more determined today as I ordered a dress for my birthday which arrived this morning. I have just tried it on and much to my horror I can't even get the zip halfway up. So I have 7 weeks to get this stone off.
Fi I did laugh at your comment about your tattoo mouse now resembling a rat. I have thumper rabbit on top of my thigh and I've noticed recently he also has a stretch mark on his belly - do you think that classes as animal cruelty!!
