Hi, really, really need to lose weight this year, for health, cosmetic and special occasion reasons. (Friends wedding in August)

Official starting weight 12 stone 8lbs
Would really like to be 10 stone 6lbs by August.

Sooooooo 30lbs in 29 weeks - not an unrealistic target me thinks!!

But with a cupboard full of Christmas left over goodies and Easter Eggs already on the shelves I know I am gonna need help to stay motivated!:EasterBun

Whatever I decide someone will be cross, at least this way we avoid accidents and just for once I'll be able to go home early. Thanks for your advice peeps.
  • Both our schools closed again tomorrow, I'm okay with that but it does leave me with a dilemma: Do I still pay my childminder even though she hasn't worked? Our agreement says that if I/we take a holiday/go sick she still gets paid for her normal hours; if she takes a holiday/goes off sick she doesn't get paid. Snow days are no-one's fault, so what's the correct thing to do? Pay her or not pay her and risk an argument, worst case she resigns and I'm left with no child care? It took me ages to find her and she is good, she's been with me for 2 years now, there is a severe shortage of child minders around here who pick up from my son's school so I dont want to do anything to risk the relationship and be left high & dry.

I would go with half fees Hezza.
    She might not take them.
    But best to offer.

Have started the chart so it will be up soon.

Hezza - half fees sound fair, but I understand you don't want to lose her too.

Hezza I think half fees sound fair too.

Re my coat issue, it's my fault they left it in the outhouse but I didn't really think at 7.30 this morning that I wouldn't be home this weekend. I'm not going to make the journey as Victory said it's not worth the risk of not being able to get back. Had an idea that I would cheekily phone the estate agent (who is in my home village) and see if they are able to rescue my parcel :o

Somehow the SOTW is me :o:confused::D

Congrats to everyone and welcome to the new people.

Please can you post your losses in big, bold, colourful text so I can spot it easily. If you don't know how to do this let me know and I'll explain how to do it.

If I've missed anyone off the chart or got anyone wrong please let me know. I've hidden people who have not posted a result to fit them onto one page on my pc.

    Good luck for next week.

    Thanks fred;)

    good decision:D

hezza always best to pay even half if they are so hard to find, you will need her more later on than the money is worth:D

If you are wondering why I am up having a hypo, I have lowered my insulin every single night since the xmas fest and still getting it wrong, oh well part of being diabetic is being psychic as to what number insulin to put on and I am rubbish at it:rotfl:

cho a long hard slog maybe but at least one with a friend who is in the same position as yourself and you two can compare, share, support, understand each other and that is half the battle:D

fi don't even think about easter eggs:eek: don't let them come into your house, into your mind, keep focused one week at a time and you will do it, it is douable, think cucumber slices not easter eggs:rotfl:
