My car is broken :( the engine light has come on and it was spluttering ect. Ive got to drive it to the garage on my own tomorrow and it wont go above 20mph cos its in "saftey mode" Im praying i dont brake down! Im also praying it wont be expensive because we really dont have the money this month :/

Victory: Your boss seems lovely! It was funny today, my friend was told to walk from one coastal town to a city today to get to work! Its miles ha. Theyre a bad breed these manager types (certain ones obviosuly!)

Beanie: I can only imagine :( Hope its warm indoors though. My hot water bottle is in over drive, i have electric heaters and they havent gone off yet so im awaiting my tasty bill in march.

Really pleased with myself as I have had breakfast every day this week. Normally during the working week I get up too late to get to the canteen for breakfast and I kind of resent the prices they charge, but this week I've been making my own and its definitely stopping me from snacking. hopefully it'll have a positive effect on my weight.

Dunno BB, maybe they use ambulances to transfer equipment between the 2 as well, I know living on Queensway we used to get a lot of ambulances up n down that street. More than your average street if you know what i mean.

Anyhoo, I did notice that more things grind to a halt in Brighton than they do up here. Still glad I'm a postie up here tho and not down there, not with all the hills :rotfl:
the hills in B were a real shock to me when I first moved here. As for the ambulances - maybe your are right then re patients: I have been known to occasionally not have the faintest clue of what I am talking about:rotfl:.
Vix - got a major car prob ouselves - was due at garage today but couldn't get it there at all due to icy road. Not a good time for us financially either. Must budget better next year...

Beanie - hope you can keep warm somehow.

Well done vixstar re breakfast - they do say it is the most im portant meal of the day. For the 1st time in my life i have been struggling to eat bkfast these last few months. Don't know why.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

evening all hope everyone is wrapped up warm at home, it's going to be a cold one!

i was good and bad today...

good - i went to the gym and had a 1-2-1 with an instructor who wrote a programme for me targetting fat burning exercises, he spent an hour showing me the routine and i went through it too, so i am pleased with myself for this. knowing that i am expected to have a review in 6 weeks will shame me into making sure i do it or i'll just look pathetic lol

bad - snacking like it's going out of fashion...ah well!
