Not WL related but... work has closed till Monday so I'm free to go home but its two hours away. I probably wouldn't bother as I don't want to risk not getting back but I've just been informed that a new coat I've oredered has been delivered but as I wasn't in they've left it in the outhouse. Can't phone anyone to rescue it and it is a fairly expensive coat...but not sure its worth the potential hassle.

    Glad you're home safely Fred!

Vixstar -- what a dilemna. I'd risk the coat unless you told them to leave it in the outhouse it's surely the responsibility of the delivery company if it's lost?

I don't know what to do either - school was open today but with way under half of the children in. In our authority so far 35 schools have said they will be closed tomrrow and 27 haven't said anything yet.
If we open and few children come it's bad for our (already dreadful) attendance figures. If we close it doesn't affect the attendance results. Staff will try to get in if they can - a great group of people- but I worry about their safety. But then again - children should be in school and maybe learn something and so parents can get to work.:confused:

    What shall I decide?
  • granny - what a difficult decsion, and what is outrageous is that you are having to consider the scewing of attendance figures this unusual situation will cause - attendance in these conditions shouldn't needed to be counted: I feel for you.

hazza - lots of laugh re the bread: non left in shops today so came over all little house on the prarie and decided to have a bash making my own so OH has sarnies tomorrow - currently rising next to me: very exciting:j

welldone granny, pepop, rose, sary, lois & victory for your losses:j

Hezza good idea to look around for other jobs, don't ever give up hope though, it seems they are taking their time but once you are in they will be a perfect firm to work for as for my boss, as soon as I went in he went on and on and on again about the wrong prescription I had give out last saturday, said it so many times, gave me so many examples as to how it could have been avoided,it got so bad I offered to make a drink for everyone so that I could get away from him for a few mins, then the other lady I work with came and asked me if I was alright, I said yes that it was my fault and should expect it and she said 'yes, you messed up, it was your fault I agree, we have all done it but for christ sake enough already' I agree, I mean I must have apologized 10 times already since monday:rolleyes: oh he does go on:rotfl:

pep:j:j:j:j:j The snow is really bad here and OH has been stuck in traffic going at a snails pace so far for the last 3 hours:rolleyes:
Schools will def be closed tomorrow

mc no it was me they were at the front of the store and everyone was buying the hot cross buns and I am a sheep:rotfl::rotfl: completely unnecesary after how much the kids had at xmas but such a good deal that is how they get you the BOGOF are a dieters ruin, now pizza express has 50% off good job I don't like pizzas or burgers so won't be tempted there.:D

rosie :j:j:j:jwell done on the 1lb club:D you are so right that it stays off like the fad diets ,loose 7lb in a week and then what? When you eat normally it all comes back on again and then some more:rolleyes:

ll if you and your OH are doing who looses the most in a month so far he has beaten you, make sure that is not the case next week or he will get big headed:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

mazza, confused STS is brilliant over xmas well done:D

fred welcome home:D my OH is still out there:rolleyes:

gs close it if anything happens to the kids, the teachers it will be all over the papers and that is paramount to their attendance, yes we need to go to work, yes we want the kids in school learning but I prefer my kids here with me safe and warm where I can see them when the weather turns like this, even today when it was open the little one walking home from school fell over twice, no harm done but would rather he stayed at home.

vix is the coat worth being maybe stuck unable to get back?

Only trouble is, were now going to leave to make a 30 minute journey to get matts work stuff for tomorrow, hoping that it will be better to travel there now than 7am tomorrow morning? Hope this is the right decision!!

Granny: Youre faceook update made it sound so simple! What a toughie, but im sure you will do what is best for everyone in the end (and have a snow day while you can get it :p )
