Your parents will already know something is wrong. They will have seen a change in their child. Seeing you doing something to fix it may actually put their minds at rest.

Please, please contact payplan or CCCS and speak to an advisor as soon as you can.

This is ONLY MONEY. Once you have something organised to deal with it, you can start rebuilding the rest of your life.

Keep posting, even if it's just to let us know you are still there. We will worry about you.

Think you can actually contact Payplan online. Please someone correct me if i am wrong.

Yes you can there is an enquiry form on the front page.

I do understand the Bit about the phone hourami I sometimes turn in to a quivering wreck on the phone.

It is not easy but I am sure your parents might go off the walls for a few minutes once you tell them how much you owe. But they are your parents and push come to shove will love you no matter how much you owe.

I also agree about getting some sort of counselling as well. As you are going through a lot. And it is to much to cope with by yourself.

    All the best.

Thank you for your support, I feel a little better that I have actually sat down and gone through all my bills and had to write it all down and see what the damage was.

I get nervous calling Payplan because I fear that they won't be able to help and will judge me.

I was getting 4-5 calls a day and my parents were starting to ask me qujestions so I told the creditors that I have changed number. I set up a skpe number and they all call that. I open the programme at the end of each day and am now averaging 20 calls a day, some creditors like HFC bank call me 6 times a day. I don't wanna talk to them, and have told them to only communicate by post but they don't listen. Whenever I speak to them they railroad me into committing more than I have.

I also don't understand that if someone is already struggling to meet the monthly payments then how on earth is sending letters asking for the FULL payment gonna help matters.

Thanks again for all your help, need a lie down now.

Once ypu have arranged things with payplan or whoever, you can get the creditors to stop phoneing you and only write. That will also make things easier to deal with.

    Rest well.

When I called the ccs i cried through the whole phone call but it was the best call ive made in my life. I wont be debt free for years but its under control now and so are my spending habits.

Call them again, they will have heard your kind of story 10 times over, dont worry.

Its now time to be selfish and think of yourself, call in sick tomorrow and make that call.

    Hugs

p.s. Regards to your meds, I had to change meds twice until I found one that suited and helped me. DOnt give up on them and also dont stop taking them until your Dr tells you too. Take care x

    hourami,

I have never used payplan but from what I have read and heard they will be able to help you and they don't judge you.

They want to help you get out of debt. Which is just what you want.

And as Emmzi it should help stop contact from your creditors.

    All the best.

Creditors listen to payplan or the cccs more then joe bloggs, I too was getting at least two phone calls and 5 letters at time per day. Now I get approx one tel call per week and no nasty letters. They are a recognised charity who are part funded by lenders, they are there to help you and they will give you all the advice you need, explain what options are available to you. Please make that call.

  • Hi hourami,

I agree with lennymfo, you have to pick up the phone and speak to someone at payplan. You've done the first step by posting on the site and telling us all about your problem.

Don't even think about suicide, its not worth it. I'm sure with the help of the organisations already mentioned (payplan & CAB) as well as advice from MSEers, a way through your problem can be found.

    Best of luck.

Payplan will not judge you. They will only judge what's the best way to resolve your debt difficulty. I cannot stress it enough, do it get it off your chest.
