1. Syrup drained from canned fruit can be mixed with milk and make into ice lollies using moulds.

Sounds nice. Might try this if we get another spell of hot weather before winter. What are the chances of that though. ???

................and you can open the lids off fromage frais, put in a stick and freeze.

Do you remember the cherry brandy lollies you used to get - we would rub our lips with them and pretend it was lipstick. OK until you opened you mouth to speak ;D ;D I loved the cider ones too.

I once put some bottles of beer in the freezer, forgot about them and ended up with bits of bubbly beer lolly and broken glass in amongst the frozen veg. ::)

oohh like the sound of the fromage frais. think kids'll like them too. we have the tube fromage frais which we freeze, and they are yummy.

I must have had a deprived childhood. Never knew about cherry brandy or cider lollies. Maybe it's not too late to start! :-/

Used to love Jubblys, they were orange flavour then another type came onto the market that were red - strawberry, i think - were they called something like Mountain Fire?

Jaybee, you certainly were deprived ;D both lollies never seemed to freeze very hard so they were lovely and juicy. Oohhh yum ;D
