Excellent!! I have just made a braising steak casserole with beer and I have half a can on the kitchen table as I write. I also have some new lolly molds and some lemonade0

Hello All,
My 8yo loves these lollies but at £1.65 for 10 I would prefer to find something cheaper.
I already have ice lolly moulds so was wondering if anyone has ever tried to make them at home?
I was concerned if I used fizzy lemonade then the gas in them would make them explode in the freezer!
I thought about trying flat lemonade but was wodnering if anyone had any success in making these before I experiment myself.
Many thanks!

Hi Clutterfree,
Freezing fizzy lemonade to make ice lollies will be fine. Just make sure not to over fill the moulds as the liquid will expand once it's frozen.
For more lolly ideas have a look at this thread:

Asda sell nice moulds for making six lollies at a time. Each lolly is quite small, ideal for younger children. I bought some the other week but I can't remember the price sorry.

Sainsbury's have been doing an ice lolly mould as part of their summer range - it makes four lollies. If they don't have it at your nearest store ask at customer services - they will contact other Sainsbury's stores and get one in for you.0

Lakeland start at £1.99
I got rid of mine at a car boot sale because they never stood up properly in the freezer (because I have wire baskets). I would love to find a version with a more stable stand that would stay upright in my freezer0
