Glad you're ok, just take it easy for the next couple of days. Let your OH do everything for you. Let us know what the prize is when you know-I've been comping for a while but not winning anything really, luck is not on my side.

My OH is sick, "man flu" so staying at home this week-don't need to mention that I am sick as well but will go to work, if I stay at home at the same time as him I'll be mad! He just wants to be pampered while his nose is running and coughs twice in an hour-well, it must be hard being a man...

Kavics- hope you and you OH feel better soon, I won a man flu bell the other day from WKD drink, my mum put it beside my bed and told me the ding it if i need anything!:rotfl:but i havent!

I tried to take it as easy a possible yesterday but i also wanted to make sure im walking about so gravity helps anything they may still need to come out!

I called the early pregnancy unit about my scan to check everything was ok but they said i dont need one and that the surgeon is quite new at the hospital and though everyone had to have one after the op i dont. Thank god they didnt tell me he was new before the op!:eek:


Even though i was told not to drive for 48 hours, i had to yesterday to get my courtesy car. My OH came with me and drove my car down, we had planned he would take the courtesy car back for me, but the men that delivered it to the bodyshop sat around waiting for us to leave im sure so i drove it home. It wasnt too far to drive luckly.
It turns out its not a courtesy car but a hire car thats why its a lovely shiney brand new focus! I was extra careful driving it home as any damage i will have to pay for! My car is only in the bodyshop for 3 days so i shouldnt even need to drive the hire car as im off work until monday.

Which reminds me i need to call up my doctors again for a signed off note for work. Ive been off since thursday now and dont get paid sick pay, i think i will get a tiny bit of money though from the government sick pay something like £40 or something silly like that.

I ordered another £10 argos voucher from shopandscan yesterday so will now have £50 of argos vouchers when that comes! I think i will collect £100 of Argos then start collecting a different shop voucher like homebase.

It was mine and my OH's sort of anniversary on sunday, we have been together for 7 years but we both forgot after everything been going on, i didnt remember until 11.30pm sunday night. we dont normally celebrate anyway as were not married or anything.

Take it easy M., don't forget, you need a lot of rest. I think it's £70 per week what you get from the government, nearly nothing, so I always make sure that I have at least 5 days fully paid sick leave per year in my contract, not like I use it at all. I had 1 day off since Jan, due to ear infection.When I had my MC, I was on holiday, so had time to rest anyway. I'm planning to go on sick though in January, have 2 assignments coming up at OU, really really need time off! ---hmmm, hope boss doesn't go on MSE----:o

Well done on Xmas shopping-I finished mine about a week ago, spent appr. £70 for 14 people :rotfl:. Didn't get anything for OH as we agreed to buy staff on the sale, he is also really rubbish at getting presents. Don't worry about anniversary-Oh thinks we've been together for 2 years, it's more like 6 . He is still at home, dying apparently, he was really grumpy as I decided to go for body pump class last night rather than making him cups of teas-I'm really bad but just can't bear man moaning! He is really not bad, already planned a trip to MercedesBenz Museum with his mate for tomorrow...

What is shopandscan??? How do you get the vouchers? I only do BP and dooyoo for amazon, but am rubbish at both.

Sounds like you are getting some bargains for christmas!

That is really annoying about the sick pay, I think they should be more lenient for people who really need the time off.

kavis- Lol, your poor OH why is it that they have it much worse than us women?! hahaha. Like you say he cant be that bad if his off for a day out 2moz with his mate! Dont blame you going out instead of pampering his man-flu! lol

Ah £70 is better than nothing i suppose. I havent spoke to work since i went in straight after my scan on thursday as i had left my car there and walked to the hosiptal. They were all pretty understanding. My mum called up yesterday for me and told them id had my op and wouldnt be back until monday which is when the receptionist who is part of the family of managers there said i would need the form.


Wendz- yeah the christmas shopping is going alright so far, i let everyone know i wouldnt be spending much this year and not to spend much on me.

Everyone is still asking me what i want but i really cant think of anything at all!

The royal mail van just delivered me a huge parcel! I got really excited wondering what i had won or if it was my rizla prize already. I opened it up to find i had won a WDK prize again this time it was a tone of napkins, two chef aprons, a chef hat, cardboard WDK bottle holders, and posters all for a BBQ!!!!!! Its not the seaon for BBQ's! Lol, oh well.
