Have been missing through difficult week during which equine pal was pts following accident in field, so pleasures all the more needed,
No wish to dwell but kindness of yard owner and vet, support of friends and being utterly blessed to have known such a gentle and kind soul as my lad. He was one in a million.
Beautiful gerbera flowers on my hearth, cheeriness in a vase.
DM is currently staying with us, privilege of caring for and spending time with her.
Smell of tea loaves cooking in the oven, one will soon be cut and smothered in butter.
A beautiful day of blue sky and wintry sunshine.0 -
BoP with the owls and red paint latest.

Oh Lainey, I am so, so sorry.

...and here is &, connected afloat, about to sail.
Rubber bands revving....and we're off. Yaaay!
1. Its been a crazily ffwd week. Spits rather ok yesterday, but one of my handsome pikes walked. Commissioned theft thought likely, portobello rd, so say the pundits.
Thank you to whichever !!!!!! now has it.
2. Dd-thought of you when hearing a wonderful afternoon concert on France Inter. & was on active DT avoidance, so switched at 1st rasp of orange voice....dkh to do links from phone, but it was M!lancolie, part 2. Don't let that put anyone off. & had tuned to an amazing modern accordion orchestral piece. Have never heard anything like it, stunning. so good, I have gone back and listened again AND to preceding semaine, pt 1
3. Have stopped picking rasps since seeing dearest little jenny wren coning to nibble them all week when I've been around. She's not a metre from me through kitchen window:-)))
4. Have treated self to On Board cappuccino costing 319 pennies of absolute madness but certainly no croissant or pain au chox or pain au raisin @175 more of them, for 1!!!!! Bonkers.
5. Feeling blessed in various tiny bits of knowledge and gratitude through what are hellish tough times ahead for far too many i.e. grateful for Spits. Know how to survive or pretty sure I can find a way. Glad of healthy eating and trained preferences and willpower generally. Books. Listening. Conversation. Being numerate, literate, articulate, mobile on 2 legs and 4wheels. Good mending done on a number of things for self and for Spits. Realistic hopes:-).
....5a being a magnificent result on the wonderful ESK blind stamped wild Parthenon horse's head(post passim). It is a fantastic thing. 3 people are vying for it.

Good evening everyone :hello:
Well, THAT was some week! We have a new person at school in to support some children once a fortnight, but she also had time for me at the end of the day of her visit. Great to talk to someone to support with some of the turmoil! She's instructed me to get an appointment to see the doctor. I haven't made that appointment yet....
However, I was also observed and the headteacher LOVED my lessons. Always good to be appreciated, although I bust a gut every day!
Pleasures are still around:
1) Found some "poach pods" at the back of the cupboard. Completely unused until this week. Duly used and I love them! Great meal of beans on toast with a poached egg for supper tonight!
2) Bought part of DH's Christmas present thanks to a voucher code from an e-mail today. Not strictly a Black Friday deal... Nothing else bought today, other than a diet coke at the pub!
3) Massive deletion of e-mails. My inbox feels lighter somehow!
4) Contemplating a massive recycling session. So much of it.
5) Cat cuddles from Millie. She's on my lap as I type this. I'd better write something nice about her, otherwise she'll complain no doubt. :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Was playing accordion yesterday & hmmm much more practice needed ! 5 pleasures
1) salt. Grits the roads, grits the pavements, and pretty good on chips
2) sitting at the front upstairs on the no. 73 (double decker)
3) meeting gbf for a cuppa. He's doing well.
4) dd2 home for funeral - imminent arrival motivated me to move last of my stuff out of her room to my new room
5) book club - secret life and curious death of miss jean milne, food and good crack as the Irish would say

1. Had a great time at a wedding reception yesterday. The bride was beautiful and looked so happy. Evening was good, lots of dancing and drinking.
2. Met a friend for lunch and we had a look round the Christmas grotto which was magical as normal.
3. Had a chat with someone I haven't seen in ages when I went to collect two parcels from the post office. Good to catch up.
4. Fantastic service from the post office she had seen me chatting outside and my parcels were there waiting for me when I walked in. Always good and friendly service.
5. My Dad treatment went ahead with no problems last week they didn't have the right equipment. Week 1 of 6 is over.0 -
