Dear no. It is Porage, milled not rolled oats. For the life of me, I cannot see why people still insists on it differently! Right now we have that sore ted, let the BoP news flow!
5 Did the rugby yesterday, and printed again. Had main camera failure, so had to used old faithfull. And she performed well. Album here!

Also checkout the Rugby Paper!
4 Was in emporium of w8rz this very morning and the week shopping, including too much food for Raffles, came to less than £18. Raffles is fed and watered again.
3 Last night we ended up watching a Bond, with sticky chicken, available ready cooked but covered in carp at the emporiums, but nicely presented with the introduction of nuclear mushroom. Mushrooms, pan fried in garlic, with added extra of chilli flakes. You know when you have one! Other varieties are available for use.
2 Day BoP is watching the cricket!

Can I join in please?
I've had a good old-style day so far : -- Sorted out some new cushions on the sofas (new to me but unwanted by a friend
)
- Did a very small shop only for ingredients needed for the store-cupboard
- Made a big batch of tomato and basil sauce that will be used/frozen as pasta or pizza sauce. Fresh basil from my living basil plant (yum)
- Made up a nice batch of pizza dough
- Made up some pizzas and freezing them now for later in the week

1) Found the first properly ripe conkers today, beautiful glossy brown shiny ones!
2) A roe buck in the wilderness field stood and watched us walk by, didn't flick an ear, just watched, beautiful beastie!
3) Very autumnal walk, lots of leaves down and the first of the acorns beginning to drop, crab apples beginning to shed on the chicken track and bright red haws on the hawthorns, even some Michaelmas daisies beginning to open their petals, so pretty.
4) Lots of rugby to watch yesterday including a Toulon match, very happy when I can watch Toulon play!
5) Supper is in the slow cooker, a shoulder of pork joint with onion, apple, sage, thyme, chicken stock and some apple juice concentrate.....it smells heavenly!
Welcome aboard Uhtred Ragnarrson, nice to have you with us.0 -

It's been a difficult fortnight really. MrC's not been at all well, so the allotment has swallowed my life. Still pleasures to gloat about, but I haven't posted and need to catch up and read yours. Anyway:
1. A trip into town to meet my lovely daughter R for lunch, and there were 4 new to me fantasy/ sci- fi books on the library new books shelf so I am now re-making the acquaintances of N.I. Jemisin, Ben Abramovitch, China Mieville and Elizabeth Bear. Funny how I always go to either this genre or historical fiction when I badly need comfort reading. I'm loving the Elizabeth Bear 'The Pillars of the Earth' and have requested the rest of the trilogy
2. Inter-library loans - a true OS pleasure!
3. Strings of onions plaited and hanging in our warm, dry shed, no need to buy onions now for several months at least.
4. Spiced chai tea with a very little honey. Sooo good!
5. Our bee colonies are thriving, despite the poor summer, yesterday I extracted honey from one hive and the honey was the colour of very dark Amber and it tasted of coltsfoot rock. Probably chestnut pollen, there are still some mature trees near the allotment, but a glorious flavour, whatever the source0 -
Thanks Skint and MrsLurcherwalker - glad to be here.:DWyrd bid ful aread0

Welcome Uhtred
Pleasures for yesterday
1. DD is better :T
2. A rainy day here in Ice Cream town so i stayed in and worked. Finished my chapter to the point where i was happy for OH to read it, before sending it to supervisors. he had a couple of style related points but says it reads well
3. Watched Friday night's 'Goodnight Sweetheart' - I thought it was fabulous
4. Went to a new pub on the seafront. We generally manage to do something new everytime we come. Twas nice - the beer was really good.
5. Out for dinner, Not really money saving but definitely joyful. Seafood thermidor was sublime.
And for today
1. Washing done and mostly dried on the line
2. went to the arcade with DD for a go on the 2p 'falls' machines
3. Had honey ice cream
4. DD has gone. She doesn't really like it here, and i am amazed she stuck the job out. It was only because of her overdraft that she did. i have stayed to clean and tidy house as it will be left for a few weeks now. i feel strangely bereft, but the pleasure is that she has gone home where she wants to be... I will see her tomorrow so i am not sure why i am so mopey... i think it's cos i feel like summer is over..
5. House is clean and tidy - and a bit too quiet.....
Have a lovely evening. I have a third of a bottle of wine, some left over chicken nuggets to eat and Poldark- ooh and the start of 'the trial'...
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Off in one of &'s nowhere spots, facing West alongside a chestnut tree, Mrs LW:-) AND your Toulon rugby. What is your Pilou Pilou connection? although we lost...
1. Harry Bingham's 'This Thing of Darkness'. Compulsive stuff.
2. Not arrested yesterday. Good march and speakers except for defeated former m.p. treatng it as a hustings vanity turn. Miles of walking. Rained on, then up for free JL hot drink and cake, view out over college and church roof tops. All just right before village bus back and more walks. Was amazed to see certain peeps, known here posts passim, walking with us.
3. Early forage out pre 6 bells >Trumpington carboot. Seemed to strike lucky a number of times, but acid test is Spitalfields. On way back for 11h service, realised I missed Village show yday. Tant pis.
4. Hope freecycle person ems to say Mon or Tues for & to collect wooden garden chair. Has written both in msgs, after over a month, apologising for withdrawing early offer, as sister wanted it after all. These many weeks later, change of heart out of blue. Hmmm, involves fair bit of fuel too, not in vain, j'espère.
5. Time to head back, methinks. Slow cooker is doing freezer/fridge bitsies thing, like many here atm:-))) There is old roast lamb, rtc celeriac cubed, onion, peppers, coconut cream, dried apricot, some sultanas, tikka marsala, pesto, &saucy hodgepodge with edge. Half way taste was promising.

I just love to watch them play, the squad is so strong and then there's Bastereau and now Mar Nonu too!!! It's always a joy even if they lose the match but then Clermont Auvergne has Morgan Parra and Toulon has Tran Duc, so much talent and we're getting tickets to see Saracens later this season and there's Owen Farrell and Maro Atoje again so much talent and I saw my absolute favourite player of all time Immanol Harinordiquay (I know SPELLING) when Biarritz Olympique played Gloucester a few years ago and Dimitri Yashvilli, what a match.....I could bore for England over RUGBY, the game of GODS!!! can you tell I like the game? xxx.0
