DD - I know some are finding the Rob / Helen thing too slow. But, of course, that's exactly how it would happen. he is well acted, I think - so sinister "it's for your own good, darling"

Mhags - hope all ok with you and yours

    Pleasures for last few

    1. Out with the girlies for lunch on Friday. Whilst i didn't give up the job in order to have more lunches, it is part of the "less busyness" aim.
    2. M&S squash salad - my new favourite thing to have out
    3. Continuing the lit review, still need direction.
    4. Starting a blog to catalogue it all, more as a diary for me than as a thing for others to see. How often do we start something on a definite day 1, so i thought it a good opportunity to get it all down. ALready missed some days, so will not be a daily thing but hoping to update at least once weekly.:o
    5. DD came home for weekend - i do love her, but she can cause chaos and disruption wherever she goes :rotfl: particularly for DS :p She is looking fab now she has lost some weight, but i am keeping an eye on her eating habits. Or as much as i can from 200 miles away.
    6. Finally started the marking i need to finish for old job. The marks are coming in high, thank goodness. Such filthy weather on saturday it was as good a use of time as any
    7. a walk into town with OH yesterday. too muddy for the countryside. Beautiful blue sky and it only started raining 2 minutes from home. :T
    8. Out for dinner en famille on saturday. it was nice, but see 5 :rotfl:
    9. Call the midwife and knitting last night. I think this series is better than the last couple.
    10. MiL on the mend and should be home today. She is finally optimistic for the future :T

    Have a good day, all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    1. managed to get 2 loads of washing done and out on the line for an hour before the washing line collapsed... its done well to last as long as it has since we moved here 18 years ago but has now corroded right through the base ... thankfully it fell against the patio table and the washing didn't get dirty ;)

    3. more batch cooking done

    4. pulled pork for tea done in slow cooker with wraps, salad, apple sauce and crackling !! (done in oven whilst batch cooking)

    5. washing up done and an early night ready for work on Monday for first time in over 20 years :p

2:32:20 takes you back to the seventies. What times. And those who were aged 18, some did not return. We were told how lucky we were!

4 After that, just dined on home made curry. Veg version this week. With mushrooms, carrots and spinach. Enough left over for Wednesday Well tomorrow is Pancake Day. Readied.

3 Served with homemade egg fried rice. Washed down with orange juice.

2 Night is university challenge. Looking forward to it.

Carry the on along the bus. The bodyguard has spilled the beans. Nothing to see?
Said nothing for forty years plus?
  • 1. A nice no spend weekend, we had a voucher for a free pizza that was completely disappointing.
    2. Today was researching for an interview, I’ll look up how to get there later tonight.
    3. Lunch was peculiar leftovers turned into curry and well it tasted like weird curry some days I should keep out of the kitchen.
    4. It’s probably my diet but I want to try and bake millionaires shortbread as it will be DH’s valentine gift.
    5. The place has a clean but lived in look about it.

Unfortunately, due to a BoP word not being in the currant version of Scrabble Words, he is trailing. Please watch out for further bulletins.

Good morning from Tuesday ....I know, already! Day off number one stretches ahead!

Been busy with work and then too tired to post but here goes for a few days pleasures.

OH got home on Saturday ....when doctor finally came round to see him . The ward he was in closes at 2pm on a Saturday and doctor came at 1.55pm.....how are you? We can keep you in another night if you're still sore, we will find a bed in another ward ( OH...gritting teeth...no, I will go home! ) so home we went ( me.....I will just put your keys in my bag) . Took a taxi to work where my car was parked , picked up DD2 as she was just finishing and home we went.

Driving into work on Saturday we saw 8 hot air balloons above us, shared my joy with my girls who were also working . On Sunday we saw 7 and yesterday I saw 3 from the train station then I saw a kerfuffle in the carpark behind us and one had landed! Wow! And I just missed it. It must have been so off course and luckily the carpark was empty at that time, 10 minutes later would be starting to fill. We are between the railway line and a very busy road. I saw this when OH phoned me to ask where his car keys were.....I don't know ......Aaah! Yes....they are in my bag! Small drama saved by a spare set of keys eventually found!

A tiny bird flew into the work kitchen on Sunday morning, don't know what kind it was I've never seen it before. Poor wee thing.it was so distressed , after a lot of flying from one side to another ( to be fair ..its a tiny kitchen) and then landing at a customers feet in a corner, DD2 rescued it and set it free.

In from work yesterday and I so couldn't be bothered! Pasta and what I hoped was bolognese sauce from freezer....phew! It was.

It's been very hot past few days , out with dog about 8pm last night and starting to get dark and the air was so pleasantly cool after last few nights when it's still been boiling hot. Our days are starting to creep in as yours are starting to stretch out.

Right....procrastinate no more Mhags ....time to get up and start the day.

    Good evening all.

    1. Feeling better today, managed to get up and even went out for a bit!
    2. Picked up a few bargains to spoil myself in the supermarket, inlcuding a calendar with kittens on it for 30p.
    3. Had some nice strawberries after dinner.
    4. Time for an early night with a DVD and a hot water bottle.
    5. DIY manicure, in a nice bright colour. I look and feel drained after being ill so need a little pick me up.
  • BoP has a right monk on!

    1. Went back to school today so must be feeling better :) (The class were horrific as per usual, but I tried to step back and appreciate that I am not responsible for everything in their lives....it didn't work very well).

    2. A day working from home tomorrow, aka PPA - phew!

    3. Mummykins is hopefully coming home by Thursday (which will be 4 weeks post accident)

    4. DD's cuddles and the sound of her singing along to her CD in her bedroom next door :) (Thankfully she's not yet at the blasting out random rubbish stage, just pop stuff :) )

    5. My lovely friend K has just got the job of her dreams.

Right, I'm cream-crackered, have been coughing loads, so think a bit of t'internet pootling and sleep is required for me. Night all! x
