Good afternoon everyone :hello:
A teensy bit of lethargy has begun to set in - doesn't help that I've had a bit of a fever. Trying to remember the positives, but struggling at the moment. I know that many people have it worse than me, but I'm festering over work stuff which is playing on my mind a bit too much. The niggles haven't bothered me until now. Must kick it!
However, trying to focus on the positives:
1) Various amounts of NPDs and NSDs.
2) DH did the "big shop"
3) Reading bits of my book. I always like to have a bit of escapism available at my finger tips!
4) Used a Groupon voucher for a cafe a mere 15 min walk away from our house. It was specifically for breakfast - and it was delicious. DH had a full English and I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on a toasted muffin - all for £9. Perfect and definitely a place to return.
5) Cake club for a week on Monday only has one space left! :j :j How exciting!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
1) Just had a lovely skype chat with DD2 and the Zebra, they've been decorating his bedroom and it looks lovely, wonderful skype when you can take the laptop upstairs and show Mum what you've done!
2) Nice walk with Cookie after lunch, not nice weather as not quite raining but very definitely not dry either but once we got moving we both warmed up and enjoyed the walk.
3) Logstove has made the lounge toasty warm on a dreary dank and cold day, mind we lit it at 11ish this morning and it's blissful in there.
4) Really nice risotto for lunch made from odds and ends and inspired by 'A girl called Jacks' recipe for bacon and brie risotto, the brie just melted into a lovely creamy cheesy sauce, yummy!
5) Cinema visit yesterday to see Star Wars, fantastic film, didn't want it to end and then out to Loch Fyne for supper using a pre paid card we won in the pub quiz, smashing evening!0 -
An early update today, before sons come home.
1) A lie in!
2) Tiny bit of housework done and have sorted out some of sons' baby books to give to niece. But not our most favourite ones :-)
3) Had lunch at mum and dad's.
4) An hour or so of geocaching with brother and his dog in the local forest. Saw an albino deer on the way back to the car - then a very dark deer standing next to it!
5) Sitting watching Ski Sunday now in front of the stove.0 -

DH visited his friend in September, who lives outside Pretoria. They went down to Durban and Kwazulu Natal; DH loved it. It did look stunning. Have you been to the Garden Route outside Cape Town? That was one of my favourite holibobs.
Meanwhile, I was busy working at school...................Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Not been around much - busy old time pre Christmas and just not been motivated at all since!!!
Back - and need to catch up!!!
but pleasures for weekend -
1. Booked a 'Sun' holiday courtesy of here - no paper buying or token collecting required Devon for 4 nights in Easter Hols for £60 (went posh and upgraded!!!) - something to look forward to!
2. Cleaned out family Room (AKA dumping ground!), DS and DD3 bedrooms - 2 tip runs and now feeling very cleansed!! How do I convince my kids that living in clean tidy bedrooms is a pleasure?
3. Naughty - but went out for dinner tonight (reward for cleaning!) used £5 off voucher so dinner for 3 plus a drink for under £20!!!
4. Went to see the Danish Girl last night - fantastic!!!!
5. Less crazy work diary this week - might actually get some work done!!!0
