  • The curry that has been on the stove since Tuesday, will not see Saturday!

5 Finally got round to fixing the tredder. Now BoP wheels are back on the road. Steer clear, and I have full on high beam lights, so watch it!

4 Sorted the electric out, again fixed and down in price till Jan 17. Accidently looked at another supplier, they wanted double, and I entered proper numbers as well. Rip Off. Now google thinks I want to switch to them! Fortunately BoP is made of sterner things and has deleted google from spying on me! It still thinks I wear high heels and are aged 19!

3 Jeff Ree is on the cricket, and apparently a stick of Rhubarb. Well, Rhubarb needs a decen frost to get it cracked, and last night we had a frost. Though according to BoPsie's tablet, the BBC said we were heading to be under 20ft of snowdrifts! Not been the same since Burt Ford left and not watched since 21:33Z 1982-05-03. It was a Monday!

2 Night is another film night. Think BoPsie has a Monroe readied for me! And she has got some decent Jam filled pastries as well. BoP. Partial to decent tarts!

Just because you cannot see the staircase, doesn't mean you cannot tread the first step!
  • 1) Dry here again today, cold but sunny and less windy makes for a much better January day.

    2) Found a lovely heavy cotton jumper in the charity shop for the Zebra this morning and a die cast car too.

    3) Blueberries 100%extra free for £2 in Iceland today, love blueberries.

    4) He Who Knows has been able to get out and cut the lawns, it's dried off during the day, all neighbours followed suit afterwards, hilarious!

    5) 2 new to me library books found this morning, doesn't happen often, looking forward to some new yarns to read this weekend.
  • Well its been a week of ups and down. Friend of the family put out a call for help rehoming 8 yo family dog. Having always said no before to DS's requests I relented and agreed. We spent the week clearing the house and cleaning ready for new arrival - went for a visit and she didn't like us :( Am gutted. She growled at us and when I went closer to let her sniff me she bit me (just a nip on the hand- didn't break the skin). I know how you felt now Frith - must admit though this has put me off having a dog

    1. Thank goodness its Friday.
    2. day off work
    3. lovely sun
    4. spent some time with DS and his GF chatting during journey there and back again
    5. enjoyed reading all your pleasures

Have a good weekend everyone x

It's sad, isn't it, Skint? :-( Sorry it did not work out for you.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Work not too shabby. One small person sitting next to me suddenly said, "Miss, you've got a LOT of white hairs on this side of your head" - yes, thanks for that!

    3) Have lost another lb so down from 13 stones 12 to 13 stones 3! Looking forward to being 12 stones something.

    4) Made a chow mein for tea that was tasty.

    5) Another of my granddad's books came from Amazon. Second hand, formerly a library book in a uni in the US!

    6) Sons at role playing with my brother and brother in law.

    7) Got a few bits and pieces done while they're away - half an hour of wii fit, washing, tidying and an online Sainsburys order.

    8) Watching Stargazing Live and looking forward to First Dates at 10.
  • 1. Today was spent in the main in the warm.:o
    2. We did have to ponder to Mr T this evening as I had run out of camomile tea and I drink a lot of it, it is my one thing that has to be Twinings.
    3. Very lucky with YS markdowns:money:, I see a lot of soup making and freezing coming up, a vast amount of fruit and veg, there’s some cake, cookies and bits and pieces in there too. The camomile tea was the most expensive item. While in there also picked up all DF’s shopping.
    4. Not MSE at all but we called in for a takeaway on the way home, there’s also leftovers for tomorrows lunch technically! :rotfl:
    5. Currently watching Iron Man and I’ve been told to shhhh as I shout at the TV or go ouch if it looks like it would hurt falling into a plane wing….:rotfl:

Just in after big LP mtg and extensions.

    1. Has anyone else read Robert Wilson - A Small Death in Lisbon?
Highly recommend. Will seek others. Interesting varied life man:

    2. It's felt a long haul since being up at 2 bells y'day for Spits, which was barely moderate[just when the 4-fig haul would be handy] - a doldrums day for all. hwb currently doing its work and awaiting &, who has had fewer than 3 hrs' bed since then.

    3. Followed a learner driver into city of uni ce soir. Pupil of....wait for it - Mr Toad's School of Driving. I did like that:-)

    4. Quick stop at 2 Mr Ts en route back - neither petrol working and couldn't insert cards in atm slots. They were hitting some obstruction less than a cm in. Reported to Night Mgr. Luckily had six shillings in live money aboard [too late to deposit takings at Bank]to buy/try these, rtc 30p

    - 'cos & is most fond of smoked salmon and prawns. On verra.

    5. em from enzed, muddled and chopped, but here. Beloved Uncle is still with us, some circulation, oxygen probs causing loss of balance and falls. That's for starters. I know I shouldn't do the next thing, but will:
'Seeing him on a daily basis and he certainly looks far better each day' and 'A friend of x is a master builder and he will be asked to get ramp up as soon as possible as plan is to be home in 2 weeks with more grab rails around the house.'
    - because this feels like positive forward planning.
pk - find myself wondering about your Dad as I am about My Uncle.

Dare the Head Biddy to call y'out with any pair of these fan-dabby-doozies on your tootsies. Seem to recall, posts passim, bop was shouting himself and lady bopsie a pair apiece, urged from wisdom here:-)

    Everyone choose a pair/occasion:
I'm starting with these for Frith - très school shoe and the name's perfect.

  • Hare and the Dog. And me curry was so nice, although BoPsie is steering clear at the moment!

5 Last night BoP had that curry that was festering on the stove since Tuesday. No fridge required! Rubs Tum. This morning BoP managed in the lucky dip to get the 2 rasher bacon pack out first. Grilled with a snorker, mushrooms, tatties, toms and toast topped with poached egg! washed down with fresh juice, not that cardboard boxed sugar infested muck. Rubs Tum.

4 Tea this evening BoP will be a decent !!!!!!. We are having pancakes, and they will be fresh, and tossed. If you're unsure about the recipe, it is 1 medium egg, 3oz plain flour, 5 fl oz milk. Whisked, put in a blazing pan, tossed. Served with fresh orange. Ready to rub tum!

3 Last evening, BoPsie refused BoP a Monroe, so we had a swashbuckling film instead. The Black Swam. There was a bit of pillaging and a few ladies got carried off. And of course, some dastardly deeds, but all on the Spanish main as well.

2 Night I am going to watch the best of the SA batting, It won't take long. Come on Broad!

Every so often, you see the light.
