    Some pleasures for yesterday,

Interview went well, so well that they have called me back in today for second :T

Drove over to DM's village and took her into larger town for medical appointment, treat of hot chocolate afterwards, it's certainly getting colder.

Stayed with Mum for chat, she was pleased to confirm that solar panels fitted by HA have already had positive effect on her energy bill.

Nut Wellington for tea, if wasn't for bacon butties could quite happily go veggie.

    UFO's on MM, what next..

Frith how rude, temptation to take shoe off and hit on head?
VJsMum also have serious envy of DSS current travels, furthest Lainey went at his age was Costa Brava:rotfl:
PK good news on DF's assistance

Evening ...from dare I say, chilly Melbourne, last night we were boiling in 44o heat at this same time and tonight I'm thinking an extra blanket on bed will be needed. Crazy weather but I know which I prefer!

Days off have almost passed and have been pleasant and mainly quiet .

Hair cut this afternoon, much needed and much better.

Saw specialist for DD2's hip ....phoned today hoping for an appointment for next week , we have a 5.30pm today, yes please. He is bamboozled and referring us to a further specialist ...that's how special she is!

Popped into old work yesterday whilst DD1 was trying to sort out uni enrolment stuff. Caught up friend who works on campus and got free refreshments.

Finished a library book and half way through another.

De cluttering continues. Who really needs 3 ice cream scoops? Have donated 3 big bags full of stuff in past 2 days. Whilst not KonMarie-ing, I follow the thread on here and am inspired to reduce the amount of stuff I possess. We currently live in a big old house with absolutely tonnes of storage space that I seem to have filled. We moved house in 2006 and cleared/ car - booted so much stuff then, then 4 years later we moved out here and once again cleared stuff/ car booted ( that had been in loft / unused for previous 4 years / or we couldn't bring here to Australia ( wicker baskets / candles) . We still have stuff in boxes in the garage from that move that have never been opened. I question how much ' stuff ' do we need? Anyway, I'm going along with the KM premise of does it bring joy? Nah.....then out it goes.

Made a nice spag Bol for tea tonight and had a very tasty chicken pie the other night. I enjoy cooking more when I've not been cooking all day at work .

Right, bedtime for me. Have a lovely day.
& let me know if I can be any use to you in contacting your NZ peoples in a more pertinent time zone. I can phone or post for you. Absolutely no problem.

    BoP'd out.

5 Booked chest xray for the morning. Hope they like fur. Check for ticker box and Jenny.

4 Had oats for breakfast. Proper with crunch. Not that instant carp.

3 Sat in yard. Yellow thing under test. Will be ok by Easter.

    2 Night is camera club.

Live a lot, keep a few. Never forget those who love you.

And a Jeff Ree. Pitches are like wives. You never know how they'll turn out!
  • 1) Just spent a morning in the kitchen cooking things to make into other things for a few days, lovely, I like mornings like this.

    2) He Who Knows helped me to move the Denby crockery set up to the store room, Dad bought most of it for us for a wedding present and we've been using it for nearly 40 years. I'm so fed up with it that I've invested in a few plain white plates and bowls from Ikea to see us through. Luckily there's a very good resale market for this pattern so I'll sell it on later in the year.

    3) Seeing Lainys post that she has a second interview, woohoo, go get 'em girl!

    4) We came second in the pub quiz last night, the questions were DIRE and we thought we'd be bound to come last but everyone else must have found them dire too!

    5) Have decided to have a play with my collection of Wartime cookery books and have made 'Cheese Ducks' for lunch and snacks for a couple of days. They smell delicious.....we'll see if they taste as good as they smell.
  • O lawdie. Looks what has 'appened! BoP gets the wobbleade inn, and snook a pork pie. Now that means the chicken curry, growing fur on the stove, will not be eaten this evening. Its will be washed off tomorrow!
    Rubs Tum!
  • Lainey: Great stuff
    VJsmum: An exciting first day.
    1. Up early to get bits and pieces done.
    2. Filled the car up with a broken up wardrobe, and 4 bags of garden rubbish, and engine oil containers, all done but the tip was very unfriendly staff wise checking literally everything.
    3. Home to use up the last of the bread and bits in fridge for lunch, we will have to pick up animal food and a top up for bread tomorrow.
    4. An afternoon snooze after watching Father Brown.:o
    5. I’ve put a fleece over the greenhouse plants and hope for the best.
    6. Chicken bake tonight, I don’t seem to have stuck to the meal plan at all this week but I have been using up anything we have.
    7. We were talking through bits and pieces and decided not to plan to go out and save instead we aren’t really wanting for anything, but I love that the money saving not buying it makes us think what have we got that can do the job, do we need it right now.
    8. I’m planning to cook up some Millie;s cookies from the recipe on here.:p

    Pleasures for today :

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Nothing too untoward at work.

    3) Went swimming with sons and my brother. Did 0.5km.

    4) Have had a rare burst of energy and, since 9pm, done washing, made yoghurt for tomorrow, washed up and done 30 mins of wii fit!

    5) Bigger son very chatty today.

    6) Enjoyed planning (in my head) our Easter break to Brighton. We shall also be going to Pevensey so I can show sons where I used to work (and the only pub I am banned from) :-)
