Now it appears that BoPsie, who spies in this parish has found a recording on the oggle box. She does not quite get it. Oh well!Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »Edit. Just watching Ms C Evert on oggle box. She's with that Martina lass. You would not understand!0

Hello, I've not posted here for a very long time but I hope you'll have me back. My five:
1 - digging up the last of the spuds in the garden.
2 - Stocking up the freezer with YS bakery products, plenty for the nipper to eat for a couple of weeks.
3 - a lovely walk with a happy chatty toddler in the buggy.
4 - sorting out my wardrobe for the new season (actual season, not fashion season)
5 - making stewed apple with cooking apples from our local NT place. They were absolutely huge and £1 for 5.
Good night and best wishesRecovering Shopaholic

Pleasures for today (Monday).
1) Not a bad sleep. Had this playing overnight: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06db5tv
2) Survived another day at work. We've been put on a training scheme and I had to show I had a working knowledge of ICT :-/ Using computers since I was 6 counted for nothing as I have no actual qualification. Passed their test in 10 minutes, grumpily. Good job I can prove I passed maths and English!
3) Went to Malvern after work to go round the charity shops.
4) Popped to an obscure branch of Sainsburys as Sainsbury's Twitter lady had promised me they stocked my vacuum cleaner bags. They don't and haven't for some time. :-/ Did get a few bits and pieces.
5) Lit the stove! First time for some months. Once the smell burned away (dust and black lead) it was rather nice to be warm. Used the new stove top fan for the first time. http://www.galleonfires.co.uk/eco-friendly-heat-powered-wood-burning-stove-top-fan-black-blade/?gclid=CjwKEAjwyqOwBRDZuIO4p5SV8w0SJAAQoUSwb7UHsX1IJRjkcvo5GAO6b_iWtMTKI4Gb7dNIDnuvVRoCr53w_wcB
6) Went swimming with sons and my brother.
7) Watched Mock the Week.
8) In bed with hwb and about to listen to Unbelievable Truth.
Exciting day tomorrow as bigger son will be 15! This time 15 years ago I presumed he would be a fortnight late. I went to the car (to go to hospital) at 6am to find 2 men syphoning the petrol out of it (it was the petrol crisis) but nothing exciting happened after that. I was told to go home on and off until 10.30 until someone took me seriously and he was born at 11.30. :-)0 -
Hi LaineyT and FrooGal
Broomstick - my lawn seems to have had a growth spurt too
PK - how annoying re the microwave. I've had my mw for over 18 years its a combi oven and grill too and I would be lost without it.
Frith - how you manage through all the complications life throws your way truly inspires me. I've just had a stupid anxiety attack over DS's car insurance policy which renews tomorrowReally need to sort myself out
Anyway, pleasures for Monday
1. lovely sunny warm day - more washing done and line dried although I think the old clothes I wore when I creocoted the fences may need to be binned as they STINK of the stuff, even after washing !
2. the great alpro almond milk hunt this week took me to morrisons - UHT version on offer for £1 with long shelf life so bought all 11 on the shelf ! Usually £1.50-£1.79 each. Will pop back in a day or two and try to get some more
3. food shopping at Aldi at 8.30 before the rush meant I got a parking space - nearly half the car park now taken up with machinery etc as they are extending - and came in under budget
4. did some gardening and cut the grass. I have a little hover mower and it struggled as the lawn seems to have had a sudden growth spurt. Hopefully the last cut of the year but doubt it
5. popped to asda to get some more work trousers as I have lost weight my old ones are falling down - got the last 2 pairs in the size I need and only £6 each
Back to work today so it may be the weekend before I post again. Have a good week everyone x0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗

Morning everyone, another beautiful sunny day here, really lifts the spirits :j
Pleasures for yesterday / Monday
1. Catching a glimpse of the lunar eclipse / Blood Moon in early hours, never was a call of nature so appreciated!
2. Cycled into the village for some veg and saw some lovely Mums on side of road for sale, two bunches of bronze & gold flowers now sitting proudly in my fireplace, can't grow many flowers myself due to rabbits coming through from field but do so love homegrown cut.
3. HM Pea and Ham soup for lunch sitting in garden, such a treat for end of September.
4. Getting the dogs beds and towels all washed and dried in a day.
5. Another spectacular sunset across the fields, big advantage of the flat fens.
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Evening all, Tuesday night here , it's been a nice enough day, not warm but stayed dry and got the washing dried outside.
Up at silly o'clock , called friend back home and had a nice chat with her.
Took DD1 to uni, we saw an emu on the way,
Met my friend who works at uni for a quick catch up with her which was nice, went to old workplace and saw a few familiar faces. It's been over 2 years since I left there.
Home and then straight back out to next town to hand in Dd2's school dresses to be shortened. I had taken them up about 4 " but she was asked to get them done properly, they have to be a specific length and she's not very tall so they need a big whack cut off which I'm not confident about doing!
Then home again ....just time enough to write a cheque for DD2's school fees and then went up to school to pay that. Last fees for the year, thank goodness , however, it's been worth every cent paid to see the difference in her and her education. I love that school too.
bit of a tidy around the house, lots of time spent with my best boy dog.
Catching up on UK telly
Big day tomorrow !0 -
Please be careful inn the parish. BoPsie has been poking her big nose inn. She is worried about lobs, tennis, Chris Evert etc. She does not understand!
Is like this Dr C thing that you lot Witter about!0 -
1) A lovely cuppa in bed this morning as He Who Knows woke up early and let me have a lie in.
2) A walk in the sunshine with my doggie pal, we met a tiny 7 month old Pug puppy called Yogi who was a wriggly, squirmy, licky tiny bundle of niceness, loved Cookie and just wanted to be played with, awwww so cute.
3) The chimney is swept and we are creating the 'right' kind of soot in the steel chimney, very dry and fine and the sweep can clear the deposit completely, can only be good. Have booked again for next year as he had his diary with him.
4) I've been through all the apples we picked from the tree last week and am processing the damaged ones, they're cooked and dripping the juice through the jelly bag, I'll make spiced apple jelly when the dripping has finished.
5) We picked the very first picking of crab apples off the young tree and when I cut them open they are the same beautiful deep pink inside as the blossom was on the tree, made my day!0 -
OK. So the BoP is in darkest Hertfordshire working. And BoP, unlike what others think, is not stuck on the wheel in the cage, he is free.
Now where are the pleasures, you could ask. But thirst. Come on, I ams not giving you my recipe for cake, of xmas, and pud of xmas, if you are going to nuke it in an exterminating microwave. Naughty steps gals.
5 Talking to BoPsie on telling bone, and doing crossword over the wire things. I won again as she is too glued up in her eyes with thoughts BoP.
4 Done at mill for the day fir presentation in the morrow. Kerching. Think pocket and coins.
3 Xmas pud recipes due on Friday. Keep eyes peeled. Unfortunately they are not suitable for nuclear cookers.
2 Night BoP will watch the Arsenal? Oh well, some have to!
On a visit to the emporium, I note a aisle of evil. Please avoid. If you see objects, take direct action by getting another trolley and dumping a rail or two. Especially take regard to those made in China.0 -
Ahh it’s no good BOP, we do use a combi microwave for veggies, quick hot milk drinks and some animal bits and bobs, DH thankfully fixed it today saving us the cost of a new one at the moment.:)
More roles applied for.
Hmmm with the freezer holding cherry, pear and apple crumbles I’ve decided not to forage more as we need some space. Grumble, grumble.
I got yesterdays to do list done yesterday funnily enough, I just need to continue unpacking a few more of the decoration boxes, questioning if we really need it along the way, they’ve been in boxes a while most of it is sentimental, aiming for 3 boxes today.
Bill paid the pleasure being able to.
I made a casserole it’s tasty, all part of the food planning and freezer clearing.
Clean bedding is on.
Right off to unpack, I will not vegetate on the web thou it is tempting.0
