Thank you ampersand, yes 1st time posting, long overdue!
Some pleasures for today,
1. Bacon butties and the A's omnibus, love Sunday mornings
2. Soft warmth of my big dogs fur as she lay in the sun, my little one doesn't leave my side all day but my clever old girl spends her days dozing and waiting on mealtimes.
3. Ladybirds, ladybirds everywhere, all trying to find a quiet, cool place to hibernate, lovely to see so many.
4. B Squash and ham hock lentil bake, yum
5. The moon, oh the moon.....will try to catch the Lunar eclipse in early hours...0 -

1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Got a few bits and pieces done.

4) Cleaned the bathroom properly including with steam mop.
5) Went to see my school friend.
6) Sons back from their father's.
7) Went swimming with sons and my brother.
8) Just watched GBBO Extra Slice.0 -
Kittkins- Well done the on the troublesome pupil. Perhaps a little tough love and kindness was all that was needed.
Pleasures for Sunday.
1. A lie in. Sheer bliss
2. Nice day out with best friend and our old school friend, we've known each other 25 years just fab! However I'm sad to say her son is a very spoilt young man. Aged 11 years he had a tantrum over a balloon.
3. Easy packed lunch and the borrowing of eldest buspass meant it was a free day out!
4. Made it to covent garden to see all 120 shaun the sheeps.
5. Lastly being able to come on here, whatever the day has held, find joy in others pleasures and find my own if sometimes hard to see pleasures

Very BNPL - £353.000 -
Catching up - seem to be doing that a lot these days!!!b Mhags - amazing news!!! Hope life calms a little for you and yours x
My updates - been busy, head a mess, too many decisions I can't make!
But pleasures:
1. All kids home tonight - last time for a while - DD1 goes to Senegal this week - trying not to worry! But not working! Just nice to have the crazy bunch under one roof!
2. Had a weekend of DS's company - he didn't want to go to his dads as he wanted to 'hang out' with his friends for a birthday - major reservations about this but came home on time (ish) and no sign anything naughty! Still to come I'm sure but not this weekend!
3. Off to last residential for Masters tomorrow - stressful to organise home life but always uplifting once I'm there!
4. The cat has a new job! She has been 'visiting' a neighbour who had a brain haemorrhage - she visits in the day when we are at work and snuggles in next to him! Brings a smile!
5. No heating on yet - kids know to wear socks and have blankets!!!0 -
Hey! Love a Monday afternoon when I can say I'm now on my days off!
(Replaces Hurrah it's Friday !)
Chilly start, then nice and sunny and now cooled down in time for days off!
A day of much madness, some baking, some crazy customers....not sure where we get them from, some nice chats with nice customers, some laughs with colleagues so all in all not a bad day.
Free train in and not long to wait for train on way home.
My jasmine plant at back porch steps has flowered beautifully all of a sudden. The flowers here are stunning at the moment, so many, so scented, so many different colours . Lovely!
Watched Downton with DD1 when I came home....from the starting music to the final music perfect!
Didn't see the eclipse but the moon was beautiful in the sky last night.
Have just eaten my body weight in chocolate so don't really need tea! Some leftovers to be reheated for others.
Have a good day everyone0 -
1) some beautiful complete round spiders webs on the outside of the window, shining in the early morning sun and with beautiful fat brown harvest spiders totally still in their centres, like a cherry on a bun!
2) A lovely walk in the local arboretum this morning where the leaves, particularly on the acers, are beginning to turn colour and they had masses of Michaelmas daisies in the beds, all different shades of mauve, my favourite flowers.
3) Naughty piece of shortbread with our coffee, naughty but Oh so NICE!
4) A nice walk this afternoon with the Cookie Monster, met my friend Sue and Charlie the retriever and walked right across the common then back home along the footpaths in all this lovely sunshine, super stuff.
5)Dragonflies skimming the pond at the arboretum, different colours, wings glinting in the sun, they are such aerial acrobats and a joy to watch.0 -
1.I came home with a to do list and half is still on it but plodding through it hoping to achieve it today
2.Applied for role.
3.A load of washing is on.
4.The animals made me feel missed.
5.I am going to unpack some bits that where packed away while we decorated but we need the box space.
Not a pleasure the microwave has given up the ghost, the one we had our eye on 6 months ago has actually increased in price rather than got lower over time, is this the wonder of the recession….It’s now £40 more expensive…:eek:0 -

Evening all
Five pleasures for Sun/Mon:
1. Cut the lawn which is so little it was accomplished in about 5 minutes with the strimmer but it had needed doing for ages and looks a little less jungle-like now.
2. Went to first daytime class of this term - lovely group, lovely tutor and very energising for my writing. I have a really exciting thing to look forward to in my week now that is just for me, crikey this sounds awful, but I think this hasn't happened for about fifteen years.
3. The smell of mushrooms frying ready for omelettes for supper. DS1 is back in about 20 minutes.
4. More sunshine.
5. Caught up on Episode 1 of Downton. Have Ep 2 to look forward to a bit later on.
Sweet dreams
