Morning everyone, quite a foggy walk with the girls first thing but sun starting on burn through.
Busy day yesterday
1. Spending time with my DM, she has a number of health issues so needs help to get to various appointments, yesterday was a Lymphedema clinc and the opticians. She is a wonderful lady, never complains despite everything has to cope with so try to make sure she has a treat when we go out, yesterday was hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.
2. Sat in the park next to clinic waiting for DM, lovely in the sunshine watching the children playing on swings, not a coat in sight, lovely.
3. Bit of rush in the end but started a Creative Writing course at local Adult Ed college last night, engaging tutor and interesting mix of people, particularly like idea of compiling Autobiography of my life reading, love books and am voracious reader so lots to think of.
4. Home latish for me but still watched GBBO, mmm chocolate
5. This forum for making me think of what's good in my life every day.0 -
Good evening , it's been a most lovely day , a pleasantly warm 24o, nice to feel warmth on back however this is set to ramp up a gear from tomorrow so shall be a moaning, melty mess at work!
Day off number 3
Woke at seriously , ridiculously early o'clock but managed to get back to sleep for another while. Phoned friend from home for yet another chat....I love that we always have something to talk about!
Whilst looking forward to time on my own , my children were all up and about ridiculously early too.....DD1 went to work, DD2 came out and about with me and son went out to next town before heading off for uni. Then later DD2 went out so I had at least a couple of hours to myself .
DD2 and I wandered over to bakers shop , free rolls today with loyalty card...saved from a previous visit.
Took a huge pile of stuff over to Salvos....there was so much I needed the car for a 2 minute journey .
Washing , washing and more washing and all ironed ( smug ....moi?)
I'm photo journaling my October on FB as I need to shake off that "6 months " statement made by doctor. Hoping to post things that make me happy and start to move on mentally. If you want to share my journey and are on FB, please PM me ( regulars on here....incase I get random requests! )
Haircut! hair coloured ! The grey is gone....thank goodness! it's the shortest
its ever been ! Paid for with my laundry and weekend bonus cash stash.
It's a blooming public holiday here tomorrow ...the first one ever for the eve of Grand Final Day on Saturday, I personally think that this is a ridiculous reason but shall be at work and no doubt we shall be busy! footie is big business over here. A local team and a Western Australian team are in the final.....I am so not interested !! I am in the minority!
Think that's me, do have a fabulous Thursday. Waaaah to October already, where has this year gone already!0 -
Loop drivel apologies from & re: more disappearing Thanks. They come and they go. Can't do anything about it.
1. Helpfully gorgeous days. Yesterday's planned mowing will start soon:p-ish. Wo-man planned, God laughed. Too dewy atm. Huge resilient webs everywhere, fatty spiders in middle. Watched bee vs spider entrapment fight amid raspberries. Bee won! & was surprised. Bee looked well-wrapped round at start.
2. Voucher - Free cake and drink from Mr Lewis, J. has arrived.
3. Better yet. Postie hailed & on way back from prayer brekkie at vicarage. Parcel:j. Expected. <Bay of Eek. AB's correct rugby shirt. White collar. One silver fern over heart. Real thing. Great condition. HU-U-U-GE on petite & [knew this]. Love it already!
4. Emailed and rang Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin:
http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/sep/30/richard-glossip-oklahoma-execution
& still has breath and freedom to think: exercising that is a pleasure.
5. Missed one new cooker, trying again. Sticking with gas+eye-level grill, in order to always have sthg, given so many power outages here. 1st world angst. Car tax ditto. Only now do I find the online system hasn't worked - more connectivity notspot bleuughh - and & must re-start next Monday with Fen boys, as MOT has run out since:mad:. Had everything carefully sync'd. Another MPGL.

1) A smashing day out at the Hawk Conservancy at Weyhill near Andover in Wiltshire in perfect weather conditions for flying the birds of prey.
2) Baby vultures, they are the cutest things!
3) Having the tops of our head brushed by a peregrine falcon in full flight during the flying demonstration, never has the instruction DUCK been met with such speed!!!
4) Ploughed fields, all the way along the motorway seeing freshly ploughed fields beautiful to see and for some reason make me happy!
5) In the break between flying demonstrations sitting in the Wildflower Meadow planted a few years ago in memory of the Founder of the Hawk Conservancy watching a wild red kite giving us a flying display of his own, priceless.0 -

2.I’ve taken the plunge and enrolled on a course I am fascinated in for Animal behavior, DH has said he would also like to join me so we are doing an evening class together.:)

4.Pie with minted veg and pots tonight.:D
5. I am going to finish unpacking tonight – or else threatening myself here lol.:o:o

Evening all
Mine's a creative writing course too, Lainey.
Five pleasures for Thursday:
1. Went down to the allotment and cleared all the semidry/dried pods off one set of bean plants for beans for drying and have podded them all. Nice plateful of dried beans, enough for one meal, I reckon! The idea of growing one's own protein really appeals.:) If it works I'll grow lots more next year.
2. Spent much of the afternoon deep cleaning the landing and have even washed (in the bath), scrubbed and dried two long Venetian blinds which now look great.
3. Wales won again.DS1 was at the game and he'll arrive home happy.
4. Heard back from a friend who'd temporarily had fallen out of contact. She has an ongoing seriously illness and has been back in hospital again but she said she's currently recuperating abroad atm and will phone when she's back. I'm very pleased.
5. Egg and chips for supper. Nice and easy.
Sweet dreams

1. MOWING DONE finally, but managed to mow through... someone's hidden poo:eek:. I know it wasn't you, Raffles...but one of your ilk. [How goes your rooftop romance with little Miss Kitty?]
2. Wales vs. Fiji started just as I completed no. 1. Gat-hat & très pleased...for the moment:-)
3. France vs. Canada. They're both turning up, sounds great. Loving it and the No Minnows Here spirit which began with little Blossoms.
4. H-m something, i-d n/k, defrosted with fresh green things after this.
5. hwb waiting in bed after that. Good books - have just discovered Paul Coelho [Eleven Minutes]

and John Burnside

Hmm, a glitch in the system isn't letting me 'thank' people for their posts, so apologies for my tardiness. I blame the technology.
Mine today:
1 - arrival of a JL cake voucher. I shall save it for a day when it will NOT have to be shared with the toddler.
2 - Discovering the most delicious hot toddy recipe to fight off our cold with.
3 - a lovely riverside walk feeding the ducks with the tot.
4 - The tot slept long enough at lunchtime for me to cosy under a blanket and watch Amelie (which was £1 from a charity shop)
5 - Then we both cosied under a blanket and watched a Thomas the Tank DVD from the library!
Best wishes to you allRecovering Shopaholic

1. Being sensible and taking the week out of school as I've got a sinus infection (and having the NHS to confirm it, the support at school to cover my class for me)
2. Starting to feel better today after nearly 2 weeks of gruesomeness!
3. Sunshine
4. A cheeky kitkat, of the old 'you can snap it where you like' variety
5. DD, who has put me to bed and tucked me in, given me hugs and been an all-round superstar!
6. NSDs and NPDs a plenty0
