Morning everyone, another beautiful day weather wise.
Just one pleasure for yesterday / Tuesday but a biggy for me.
A long standing dispute in my workplace looks like it is swiftly coming to a conclusion, it's been hanging over my head for the last four months and impacted on my health but it's resolution means that I can finally move on and make changes, all positive :j Happy Days
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Evening all!
Day off number 2
Into the City first thing , we were sitting our Australian citizenship tests! Wow! All interviewed separately and then taken through to sit in booths and sit our tests online . We all got 100% , so now just a matter of waiting to hear that we will be accepted as citizens which will be in next few weeks and then have to wait for a ceremony date. I will always be Scottish in my heart, British on my passport but having citizenship makes sense as we plan to be here a while ( hopefully) so we can vote, so we don't have to pay ridiculous uni fees upfront!
Dropped son of at work, girls off at train station and OH and I went on a road trip , we stopped at a couple of small towns . As usual scenery stunning.
Home and watched holby after a fabulous welcome home from Haggis dog.
We are having some Chinese food for dinner but 2 portions will feed the 5 of us as they are huge.
Tomorrow I intend to have a just for me day!
Have a great Wednesday .... another month has passed by so quickly!
dundeedoll hope all is well with you and yours!0 -
Many very special feeling particulars on here in the last few days, apart from welcome newbies and wonderful 2cu again returners. All just lovely:-)))))))
Great big VG***
Because it's another most beloved yellow thing day, I'm off to mow then return with pleasures later, which I'll edit in, because I can.
I have been thinking about dd too, mhags, wondering if retreat is meaning other things calling.
'One & went to mow, went to mow 3 meadows....'
Back later.

1) I came back from the 'Cookie' walk today with a pocket full of beautiful shiny brown conkers, I fill a bowl with conkers, acorns, pine cones etc at this time of year and keep it in the hearth until we light up the wood stove.
2) An unexpected visit from Charlie retriever and his mum this morning, coffee and a chat was lovely.
3) Perfectly ripe cherry tomatoes from the greenhouse as part of lunch, warm from the sun and sweet as sweeties.
4) A free packet of 'Dreamies' through the post for that Pushkin cat next time I visit.
5) He Who Knows is back from being a useful Dad to DD1 and has suggested a day out tomorrow to enjoy this lovely autumn sunshine, seems like a plan!0 -
PK. I am afraid, it looks like your other half has the knack. I am afraid, there is no cure!

POETS Day tomorrow. So there!
Note, BoP is back on Friday with recipes for xmas!
5 Canteen at woken made a filling pudding the day. Rubs Tum. Jam Roley Poley! Lovely. Served with non lumpy custard. Also BoP had salad.
4 Good review today, again. BoP knows his stuff, see link to Dilbert above!
3 Finished crossword without BoPsie as she is on a big do. Not spending cash of BoP though. Deep pockets!
2 Nite is a veg chilli and a flagon of wobbleade. Rubs Tum.

Writing from smaller son's laptop so all the settings are weird and the fonts are tiny!
Few pleasures for yesterday as I had some sudden and vicious gastric thing. :-/ It was, however, bigger son's 15th birthday.
Pleasures for today:
1) Felt better as the day went on - back to work tomorrow.
2) Tried to get better mortgage for house. What a palaver. I remember why I gave it up as a bad job earlier this year. Waiting for a phone call from Nationwide.
3) Bigger son spent his birthday money at PCWorld. :-)
4) Grand Designs (on now) was filmed 6 miles from my house and half a mile from bigger son's school. Worth a watch for the scenery!
That's all for today.0 -

Evening all
Five pleasures for Tues/Wed:
1. Three little bright yellow pear-shaped tomatoes on one of the plants - one for each of us. Our tomatoes are ripening at snail's pace this summer/autumn  so each one has been a real treat.
2. DS2 actually thanked me for waking him up this morning after he'd overslept for work. Thanks in the morning when everything is running late are quite unusual in our house at the moment.;) Much appreciated.
3. Bake Off and feeling smug that I had made souffle before
4. Lovely autumn colours starting to appear in the hedgerows.
5. Episode 2 of Downton.
Sweet dreams
