  • MHAGS I read your last post and thought of this, it's an old Irish blessing that seems very appropriate for you and Mr Mhags just now

    May God give you.....
    For every storm, a rainbow,
    For every tear, a smile,
    For every care, a promise,
and a blessing in each trial,
    For every problem life sends,
    A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

Every day's a new day for you both, enjoy each and every one of them, Lyn xxx.
  • Oooh it's quiet on here.
Hope you all enjoyed your day.
Mhags words can't describe how joyous you must all feel.
Embrace this, you deserve every minute of your happiness and i wish your family to continue to grow in love and strength. Always and always in your forever home.

  • 1. I had been busy, so tracked back and read... and said "What?" .. and sobbed.. and "WHAT?"again and sobbed, and was flooded with emotion.

... Funny how the reaction to good news affects us all differently. :D

    It is beyond wonderful.

    2. Dr C. popped in, slightly bruised after slipping on stairs and tearing a toe tendon. Ouch!

    3. Fatty, Angrove Fatrascal, runs in the 4.55 tomorrow (today!) at Ripon. Bless them, Ripon Racecourse gave him a special plug on their Facebook page.

    4. Decluttered (all new) a USB desk/bedside clip lamp, a desk fan, silicone oven gloves, a silicone heatproof mat, a pair of Bluetooth over - ear headphones and a desk microphone to Dr C. It's Christmas every day at our house.

Four will do, for now. Got some good books to read, always a pleasure, and oh perhaps five, Dr C took the paper copy of a book I'd bought him. He'd got the audiobook for free, but decided that this book warranted closer attention than the audiobook provided, with sentences needing closer pondering. Yay!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Morning all - off to Sarfend shortly taking DD back to start her next year. She doesn't actually need to be there until next week but they are all so bored and desperate to go back that they are all going back early. We are ready to let her go (in a good way :D)

Recovering from a short but nasty bout of gastro enteritis, fingers crossed i will be ok today.

    Pleasures for the last few

    1. Mhags' news - just fantastic. And everyone here's reaction to it - we really are friends here, aren't we? :)
    2. Nice day with Freshers at the safari park (near you, Frith! :)) - some extremely funny presentations. Normally you can't get Freshers to say anything, but this crowd were great. "You can't do that, Mr Client, it'll be hella bad" will stay with me a while. :rotfl:
    3. Saw a few animals at the above - Rhino, Hippo, Meerkats ("Simples" :p) and lemurs. we weren't there to animal spot but took a stroll at lunchtime
    4. The pleasure of the Gastro Enteritis is that it appears short lived - though i was proper poorly for a while on Thursday night. Luckily made it home from the Safari Park before it really took hold :o
    5. Out for dinner with old friends last night - we went for a curry  I just had some dry chicken tikka - I appear to have survived.
    6. So happy that DD wants to go back early - three years ago i was dragging her to school, sobbing (her not me, well... and me at times)

    Have a good day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • 1) Another beautiful warm and sunny day today!

    2) A trip to the Parent Network nearly new sale that resulted in a waterproof coat, a fleese onesie, a new book and a pair of camoflague wellies in the next size up for the Zebra child to grow in to.

    3) Poached eggs for lunch, I do so love poached eggs, you can't be uncheered with a poached egg can you?

    4) Walking Cookie and bumping into another lady from the village who has asked if we'd be willing to occasionally walk her young hound when she has day trips from the school she teaches at, she said she'd trust me with Maisie which is so very nice, of course I said I'd be very happy to, another doggy friend, super!

    5) Good rugby on all day now, best is last so England Wales this evening will be great!
  • Mrs LW - I had poached eggs for breakfast today :) nom nom

VJsmum glad the gastro enteritis didn't last too long. The only up-side is the weight loss ;)

  • Skints post making me go ohhhh chocolate..:rotfl:

1.A lovely day, had to drag ourselves out of bed as I had an interview for life insurance about my asthma which was fine, first weekend to ourselves in a long while.
2.We lounged a bit then popped out to lidl, for the half price chicken and the voucher, we kept track all the way around and easily spent it by combining my dad’s shopping with ours, and we bought some bizarre food that we have spent the day eating..:rotfl:
3.In between snacking we tried to get the garden into shape, we put a lot of work into making it look loved again I hope it shows through, but we only got half as much done as we still need to do but we ran out of daylight. Our oldest gal passed away in my arms a while ago, :( when we were away we picked some gorgeous grasses and plants for her. :)

    4. Tidied a tad.
    5. I’ve just booked us in at a cheap as chips campsite in the lakes and booked our Christmas lunch/dinner in at a pub there, it all seemed to come together in a whole 2 phone calls.:T
  • Hey all.

    Saturday pleasures.

1.Porridge with brown sugar, my fav
    2. Lovely visit to beaver scout sports day. Made a fab new friend with one of the other mums. Isn't it great when you meet minds with someone and just connect. Hopefully meet up with her for coffee :)
    3. Scrummy homemade macaroni cheese which cheered me up as my back started playing up.
    4. Cosy night in with my rtc candles lit and a blankie snuggled round watching 50 ways to kill yer mammy.
    5. Booked a fun halloween/firework day for out holiday in Cornwall.

    Quick pleasures for today

    1) Not a bad sleep. Until 7.04 when neighbour's children started their usual screaming at each other in their garden.

    2) Off to the bank to swap my account over (for £100) and also to start of swapping my mortgage to them too. Took 2 hours!

    3) Into Hereford and got smaller son and nice Next coat from the charity shops.

    4) Stopped in Ludlow on the way home and got myself a new hat (also CShop) as I have shrunk mine in the wash!

    5) Pie and chips from the van for tea.

    6) Enjoyed Dr Who and Casualty. Watched a bit of Strictly but there is something unnerving and creepy about Peter Andre. He'll probably stay in until the end now!

    7) Booked bigger son's birthday treat for next week (bowling).
