1) A beautiful warm and sunny day to enjoy, so warm I've had to peel a layer, haven't done that for a while.
2) Meeting an old friend I'd not seen for ages at the bus stop this morning on my way home from town and putting the world to rights with her all the way home.
3) Walking the hound round the recreation ground this afternoon and seeing a beautiful tiny blue butterfly dipping and darting round a gorse bush in full bloom, lovely sight.
4) Meeting some lovely new people who have just moved in to the village in the next road over, they are clearing a wilderness of neglected garden and doing a super job so it was nice to say hello.
5) Having lunch in the garden in the sun and watching the lurcher roll and roll on his back, he's such a clown and I love him dearly!!!0 -

Love the steam train! As I was coming home on Thursday we passed a steamer in one of the little stations on the way in full steam with 2 pullman carriages behind her, she was called 'Britannia' how apt!0

mhags pleased you didn't miss your DD when you had to leave work late. Hope you've had a good sleep
Oops sorry mcc, a very belated Happy Birthday to you:T
DfV I love the sound of the jute bag and the M&S bag for life, a good idea to use them for present packaging
BoP good to see real trains, the sort I used to catch to go to work. Lovely picture.
1. Early visit to market to catch the plant seller. Amazingly healthy plants but he sells out so quickly you have to be up with the sparrers to get anything. Trays of 10 geraniums, begonias, fuchsias and petunias for £3 or £10 for 4. Being OS I bought 4 trays of course
. Like & I did say no more a month ago, but I would hate to see them go to waste so better in my garden than back in the stall holder's van
2. Trawled the cs's for accessories to go with the new grey silk sheath dress, decided pink will go well with dark grey but couldn't find anything I liked. As I was leaving the market a pink lace wrap on a charity stall caught my eye, the lady was asking £2 and it's now mine.
3. Got home, had breakfast and shuffled things around to fit in 40 more bedding plants, with great difficulty I might add!
4. Three loads of washing dried on the line, plus the hand washed dress and wrap. Lots of rinsing water saved to water later.
5. A friend and her 11 y/o daughter came for a cuppa this afternoon and we were talking about The Great British Garden Watch. The DD asked what it was about and I told her it was naturalists who were watching and recording wildlife in their gardens. 'What do you mean, in the nude?' she asked in disgust :rotfl:
6.
Have a good rest of the evening

Not been in for a week or so, so just playing catch up!
MHags it's nice to read about DH's progress - fingers crossed for you x
1. Up reasonably early and avowed to get some jobs done around the house. Met up with a fellow dog walker after breakfast and had a nice chat as both our dogs played together.
2. Got the lawns cut front and back. Been a breezy day up here today but the sun has shone for nearly all of it.
3. I hummed and arhed about cleaning the car and then i thought to myself you lazy toad, clean the car! So i did :rotfl:I am pleased that I did as well because it looks lovely and I hate driving a mucky car but I did think about putting it off for next weekend being's it's a bank holiday and now I don't have to!
4. Came in and had a really big pamper Rainy Days lunchtime with some fabby Bodyshop products. Followed by a lovely cup of tea and a nice slice of cake in the conservatory.
5. Had dinner this evening, all the jobs in the house are done (including the ironing) and then had a couple of hours with feet up in conservatory again reading a book. Nearly fell asleep a couple of times because it was lovely and cosy warm out there.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

1.Dh and I had to had a difficult conversation all about finances, but it’s so lovely to be able to discuss anything and everything.:)
2.We visited Dad who while not great hasn’t got any worse.
3.We had to stop in for a couple of bits in Mr T on the way back mainly only reductions ( I had to google what to do with beef skirt:o) plus milk and oven cleaner.
4.Our treat to ourselves was using the half price chicken we picked up with chips for dinner and scoffing the lot!!!:p
5. The first time dh and I have ever seen the hunger games and it was great.:)0 -
Sunday evening here. I think it was a nice sunny day but I've been inside hospital all day , it was a cold start and now cool again but the sky was blue .
Up early, watched easties and ironed.
Dog walk
Train into city, started a library book and I'm 3/4 through as OH was very snoozy today, so I just read and read some more!
He'd had a better night and managed some sleep , up for a shower today after a couple of tubes came out. This exhausted him but felt much fresher and cleaner.
DD2 and DS came in to visit late afternoon.
We received a stunning bouquet of flowers .
Now watching the very odd episode of casualty.
Have a good day
