Yawn, yawn, it's past my bedtime and it's been a long day !

Final day as current cafe manager, we were very busy,my lovely colleagues gave me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and one of the girls who left in January popped in with a bunch of flowers too, which was a surprise . Lovely to see her and have a quick catch up.

Home for a little while and then went back to work to clean from top to toe. My girls and OH came and helped as did main colleague and boss and her ex husband. Between us we got it done in no time and then went to pizzeria across the road and had dinner....boss paid which was kind.

I have to go in tomorrow at 1pm to see new boss and have a chat....shall update on this tomorrow. I am feeling very, very positive about this change. It couldn't go on the way it was going.

Last night we had a huge storm that started at 9pm and went on for hours. Lots of tree debris on the roads this morning and still wet but it's stayed bright for most if today. We have very bright moon tonight.

My alarm is not set for 5.30am ( I expect to wake at 5am as usual but I don't have to get up :)) cafe is closed for next 2 days for refurbishment.

DD1 won a $50 Visa card on a spin the wheel thing at uni post office. She bought a backpack for uni ,using her bookshop discount card and got a further 50% off. She has taken out student union membership at a cost of $40 but has already made lots of savings on it , as most things are discounted on campus with the card. She is such a mini money saver!!
She had to buy a laptop today ( she broke her last one we had bought) and grudgingly spent money. She managed to get one that had 15% off. Hoping she takes better care of this one.

Have a lovely day.....onwards and upwards always :)
ampersand is all well with you?

Lie inns, pearls! Daylight get ups, yep, Me ands BoPsie had one Saturday! Was no afore 9! Yawn Yawn, looks it will be Moan Moan! Tea for two

    Rant

5 Now, as I has said, and even got onto Skint this week about the foamed drinks and Feral Foods. Now imagine BoP's taste buds not being right. Well we got bummed Friday night, and I am talking trouser session. Went out and paid £24 a head for what was supposed to be a Thai meal. Absolute codswallop! Now, should had been a give away when, just outside of rail station, see above, on Friday eve, place should had been bussing. No, perhaps a little early! Starter was prefabricated out of a packet, cost a packet, shy T. Smallest prefabricated feral spring roll ever! Give away with the so called prawn toast. But, others were enjoying.

Main curse came, and absolute codswallop! Now, the rice was about as fresh as that carp made be Ben, really a Mr Bean, not broad, but has bean! Then the noodles, had been nuked to smithereens into a glue Granddad would had been proud of. The fresh bean sprouts, as indicated by the menu, were like old school cabbage. With some kind of fancy crumble thing on top! Absolute codswallop! BoPsie dippy tum all day yesterday
Avoid, Imperial Hotel, Railway Station, Stroud!

    Rant over!

4 We wents out to emporium mega centre at Cribbs yesterday, a short sortee. In and out in 33 minutes, no waste. New dinner plates, mugs and dishes purchased, with tray, table mats and coasters, matching set! No issues, punters avoided. Always avoid direct eye contact if possible, unless you want them to shifty out of way, then show teeth and swing! BoPsie nearly headed for wrong exit, I corrected her course. 10:40 there, !!:05, BoP motor discharge carbon like some form of climatic finale, and car park exited. Gone. Job Done! BoPsie mooned over at last with Denby suite of plates.

3 Tested new plates this morning with proper food, at last, Snorker, Bacon, Mushrooms, Toast, Straight cut spagYETTI, toms and tea with toast and jam. Sits back rubs tum.

2 Day guess where BoP has been, not broad, just up from the BoP sanctuary in the deep south west! Steaming along, was Mayflower and she was belting. Afterwards some local too much daddy pocket money tart was complaining she could not get her weekend tractor from Chelsea pass down the road. Ne'er mind, perhaps too rural for her!

1 Every day, read something that you know others are not looking, Think everyday, things that others just could not dream of. Do everyday, something that no other would dream of. And do it, because when you look in the mirror, you realise there is, only one!

    Of YOU!

Rather less professional photos to follow from me too! First is sons' room. Previously had 2 walls of Victorian lime plaster, one rotting and falling from the bricks behind. :-/ One replaced, all skimmed over.

Then my room which previously had little plaster and a hole in the wall with no fireplace.

    Work in progress:

Hossies are inn! And you knows that BoPsie advises peoples if they want to lose their monies, then give it to a teller or an insuraqnce Kump Knee. Well, BoPs top tips have turned up trumps! £22.63 up on the week.

Please remember the advert currant lee running asbout bad bets on the internet, safe in the knowledge that bingo does not do the same.

Warning. Following BoP's advice can lead to errors of judgement and silliness. Remember, just like shares, prices can rocket!

    They can also plummet!

Holiday Booked! Guess where? Thinks log fire, decent wobbleades and bloody good food. And MSE, 3 nights for 2! Get Inn

Firth: Great DIY progress, I wish I had taken before and after photos of the room we are decorating at the moment.
    1. Took the opportunity first thing to put a hair mask on, face mask, a bath soak and nails. Feel better but just don’t look any different lol.:)
    2. All of the garden bits acquired yesterday put to use, 2 bulb flowers and 5 trays of seeds all inside, the seeds I bought in last week also seem to be trying. I’ve also planted seeds in a hanging basket we will see.:)
    3. Food plan for today using up 2 burger rolls and frozen hm burgers for lunch – twas horrid:(, Sausage casserole and mash for dinner, I’ve managed to shift just a couple of pounds but it feels better.
    4. Beautiful bright day, but right now it’s a storm and tipping it down.

sparrer - Lucky things! Even getting into the hotel was a stress of sorts. I'm wracked with guilt over the cost, but it was a once in a lifetime treat.

mhagster - Oh, it was divine.

Frith - DIY is looking good! Well done!

Friend in Dubai has returned home to a flooded apartment. Completely flooded. ie all 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen. It's currently 12.45am in Dubai and she's trying to sort it all out. I feel completely helpless and am offering moral support via text.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) DH and I went on a short 5 mile walk. Lovely, if a little blustery towards the end of the walk.

    2) A little money left at the end of the February household bits and pieces. Put into "household savings" on my spreadsheet! :j :j Suppose it helps when it's a Council Tax free month.

    3) Finished my book! Started another one straight away. :D

    4) Started a new sort of "To do" list/book I found on Pinterest. Hoping it works, but obviously a list is only as good as it's creator and/or facilitator! :o

    5) Because of number 4, my meal plan is sorted for the week. :j Mostly using stuff which is in the freezer. Trying to be good. :A

Time for Top Gear. I'm trying to be quiet so that DH can pay attention. :D
