Thank you VJsmum, English Channel next! :)
Please get well poorlies, preferable now

You don't know what's good for you BoP, better nice fresh crunchy broad beans any day than those disgusting processed things out of a tin :p. And yes I know what I can do with treacle pudding - eat it with lovely proper home made custard (often without lumps ;)), it's all for meeeee :D

    1. On the phone at 8am to book tickets for this evening as their booking line comp has 'gone down'. Only managed to get one on the first attempt, having told the woman what two seats I wanted. She then tried to charge full price when I'd already said we were a concession and a member. Three cups of tea and much muttering to myself later I got what I'd ordered in the first place. Until the email came through and she still hadn't taken the discount off . Oh Lordy, why don't they teach people the job before sticking them at a desk with an out of date instruction manual?! So it's agreed we go to the booking office this evening with a ref no she's given us to claim our refund. I'm wondering if it's worth it...
    2. The furries were very late being breakfasted due to the above but very grateful to get anything!
    3. Went swimming, my first time at a weekend and I struggled a bit as it was pretty full but everyone polite and gave me a wide berth. Maybe because they didn't want to have to rescue me?
    4. Cleaned the bathroom after my shower, then cleaned the kitchen cupboards after I washed up. It's the only way i have time to do anything today
    5. Just rested my eyes for a few minutes, as my late DF would say, before going to meet friends for our next event. It's not exactly a boring old life, is it ;)

Have a lovely rest of the day whatever you do :)

    1. Planted some seeds in trays so hopefully they will grow as I would like my new garden to be very productive this year. Its hard work at the moment but hopefully will be worth it in years to come.
It felt very strange being out in the garden without my dog following me around.

    2. Watching my chickens and laughing at them scratching the ground with DS2.

    3. Watching England win and both Cipriani and Easter scoring.

    4. Chat with a friend.

    5. Beetroot sandwich for lunch.

    Morning all

VL - sorry for your loss; beetroot sandwich is a pleasure? Each to their own :p
BoP - know what you mean re the vouchers. We get £12 off a £60 shop in sainsbugs. Trouble is, there is no such thing as a £60 shop in sainsbugs.
PK - mmm venison in thyme. No one else in my house would eat that, so things like venison, rabbit etc are what i eat when going out - if they are available
Ampersand - wow, stunning bronzes. I keep hinting at OH for one (not a Michelangelo one)
Skint, Mhags - hope you are both feeling better
DD - email trail shows your busyness to bosses? YOur own No Sh*t Sherlock :rotfl:
Sparrer - well done on going to MScircus - especially alone. My mum used to say she was "resting her eyes" ;)
Judi - Breakfast in bed and surprise chocolate. Truly a blesssed day :D

Pleasures for last couple of days

    1. Work was OK, didn't get a mauling from students regarding their assignment marks - mostly cos not many knew they had been released :rotfl:
    2. Nice walks between stations and buildings - including the sight of green shoots pushing up through the ground and swollen buds on a magnolia tree
    3. I tidied and polished my desk - doesn't take long and looks so much better. My colleagues face was a picture when i produced a tin of polish - so she did hers too :D
    4. OH's laugh when he saw the valentines card i gave him - a googly eyed horse!! So romantic. :p I loathe the whole valentines thing - but then when you don't get a card... so we continue with it. I am going to keep Mr Horse and re present it next year (after getting the idea from another thread)
    5. I ripped the leg of my jeans on a clasp under our table - so have an excuse to buy new jeans! :D They were old and ill fitting anyway.
    6. Got tons of marking done. I am ahead of schedule (but have missed the deadline - why make a deadline 5.00 on Friday, when it could easily be 9.00 Monday?? Though I am probably going to miss that too ;))
    7. OH and DS went to the footie and had a nice day. I had freezer surprise for 1 - "huevos" baba ganoush

Have a great day all? Guess what i am doing.... :p
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Damnation! Lost post!
    So in brief

Still dizzy but not as bad as it was.

Work .....two days down....4 to go!

Road trip to Werribee and Geelong this afternoon/ evening, we had our dinner in a restaurant at the end of the pier. Cheap Sunday pizza..with live DJ playing music.( not our usual cup of tea but suited the place and the weather!

After trawling around what felt like every furniture shop in Australia we finally got DD2 a bed for her birthday at a price we were happy to pay. ( money transferred from my savings account, saved for the purpose) , we will collect ourselves next weekend to save delivery fees.

Saw beautiful pelicans flying in the sky above us, parrots galore and lots of BIG jellyfish in the sea.

Dog enjoying his rawhide bone. Chewing it with much gusto!

Right....it's bedtime, it's still 31o and blooming hot!

    Hugs to village life

Missed a few days out due to be busy and a bit under the weather.

Here are some pleasures from the last few days.

1 - Good successful work week.
2 - Night out with my mum on Friday. Great to see her and as I had budgeted
after buying the tickets for it I was able to treat her. Jolly good fun was
    had.
3 - OH home for the weekend.
4 - Stuck to my meal plan this week. Jambalaya must have been particularly
good this time as OH had seconds and thirds!
5 - Watching some of the All Star Basketball weekend. The dunk contest
    always really impresses me.
  • Decent Tart!

Hell and damnation down under and that was not just the cricket! You get onto Mhags, stop them getting to the airport. VJs Looks like they're desperate for your money! VL, Beetroot, Beetroot. Gawdon Bennitto. That is on the list, between treacle sponge and Broad Has Beans! Birthday's night out! And Sparras custard, often without lumps!

5 Now where was BoP. Ah yes, the K1 Stare. Well, in emporium last eve and the muppets were in. Chasing the last of the overpriced chocolate trinkets! Well one muppet just glanced BoP and new ex, I think, BF goes into some tirade. At thirst totally ignored by BoP, as he has better things to do, but he carried on! So rule of BoP, chapter 17, section 19. CLAP. And the K1 stare. Never say something to someone unless you can say it to the face. Further round emporium, he moved out of the way. Must be the ruff on the face that endangers them. Did not look good for the relationship when the showing off look at me came down! Still, good to now the stare! One beggars as to whether the cheap soft toy may last longer than the relationships!

4 Oh no, why oh why, looks like BoPsie and her family will be singing in the Holte End tonight! Silly me! They only support them as it is only two syllables, separated by a space to make it easy for them!

3 Just maid a superb sponge pudding, made with real butter, dated Dec 14, topped with jam, blackcurrant flavour and with added crunch of fresh orange, blitzed in the twister! Will be served with the good old BoP style Custard of Lumps later!

2 Day at the emporium, we managed to get the fish and chops on offer, but absolute near disaster, Raffles of delicate and exceptional tastes, favourite, and only food he eats at the emporium, W8Rz blue packet of fish selection, was unfortunately not there. Fortunately, he has his treats and the emergency even cheaper food packets. Note, he still is the two out of ten cat, the one who absolutely refuses to eat. While there, BoPsie, even one for decent Bar Guns, was checking out the cheap choccies for the BoP Anniversaries, 28th coming! looking good. Roses, packed in box, was £25, today £4.25! Too early for BoPsie though!

1 Love today, and everyday, not just when the emporiums wishes to empty your pockets!

Ooops, forgot, the Tart, Lemon tart with a cup of tea, while chuckling with BoPsie, chocolate caked!
